There is nothing that Wesley Hunt has stated that doesn’t reflect simply knowledge and prudence about Saudi Arabia and Islam.
Leftists, Islamic supremacists and the new “woke right” want no questions asked or observations expressed about Islam. They want nothing stated that does not portray Islam as a religion of peace and compatible with Western free societies.
Watch Wesley Hunt’s favorite “jaw-dropping” favorite story about Trump’s terms for America to withdraw from Afghanistan HERE. It’s a story that shocks many Westerners, since such discourse is foreign to them, but it’s normal and respected discourse for the “neighborhood” in question. Negotiations with Muslim leaders require knowledge of Islamic culture, especially when dealing with Islamic supremacists and jihadists.
What this story tells us is that Hunt has knowledge about Islam and jihadists, unlike the arrogant yet gullible Western woke analysts and policymakers, who refuse to see truth due to their own cowardice or agendas (and sometimes both).
Hunt has stated that “people who dismiss his warnings on Islam as fear-mongering ‘have never lived under it.’” He went on: “I’ve seen what that system looks like in real life, not on cable news. Public beheadings happened there not long ago. Women couldn’t even drive when I was stationed there.”
Saudi Arabia has shown some disturbing trends, especially since October 7, but even prior to that, as seen in these stories:
- Turkey in advanced talks to join Saudi-Pakistan defense pact, putting Turkey under Pakistan’s nuclear umbrella
- Saudi Arabia to release more Hamas-linked prisoners after meeting with Hamas senior delegation
- Saudi Arabia erases Israel from the map, replaces it with ‘Palestine’ despite peace talks
- China brokered Saudi-Iran rapprochement is leading more countries to engage with Iran
- Israel at war: Saudis, Qatar, Iran blame ‘occupation’; France, Netherlands support Israel’s right to defend itself (On Oct 7, 2023)
- Saudi Arabia, Muslim World League welcome ICJ ruling that Israel’s ‘settlement’ policy breaks international law
- At OIC summit in Gambia, Iran calls on Muslim nations to sever ties with Israel
- Saudi Daily editor-in-chief calls Netanyahu murderer, terrorist, war criminal, says Hamas must achieve victory
- Saudi FM: ‘Agreements with US very, very close,’ Palestinian state ‘in exchange for normalizing with Israel’ and Saudi Arabia says it’s willing to make ‘concessions on Palestinians’ for a peace deal with Israel (With pre-67 borders)
- US, Moscow, Arab nations, and UN warn Israel against ‘further escalation’
- Saudi Arabia Is Not Your Friend
- Riyadh: Arab and Islamic summits claim Israel not acting in self-defense, Iran calls for its total destruction
- Saudi Arabia: Israel’s defense against Hamas ‘inhumane,’ a ‘bloodbath’ by ‘Israeli occupation forces’
Beware woke terms such as “anti-Islam.” They are intended to accuse, smear and dismiss people who state critical truths, as is the case with Wesley Hunt.
Trump picked a man who is actually knowledgeable about the neighborhood he would be working in, and he will command respect in it, not be a pushover laughingstock in his role.

“Trump picks anti-Islam, pro-Israel Republican Wesley Hunt as next ambassador to Saudi Arabia,” by Elis Gjevori, Middle East Eye, September 16, 2026:
Trump’s nominee has called Israel America’s ‘one true ally’ in the Middle East, and warned that even Abraham Accords signatories can’t be trusted
US President Donald Trump has nominated the anti-Islam, pro-Israel Republican Wesley Hunt as the next American ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The choice announced on Monday comes at a fraught moment for US-Gulf relations, months after the US and Israel launched their war against Iran and as the conflict continues to destabilise the region and the entire global economy.
Hunt, a staunch Trump ally, served in the US military in Iraq, flying 55 combat missions as an Apache helicopter pilot in Baghdad in 2006, before spending two deployments in Saudi Arabia as a diplomatic liaison officer.
Hunt has repeatedly invoked his time in Saudi Arabia to rail against Muslims and Islam.
“I’ve lived in Saudi Arabia for two years. I’ve deployed to Iraq. I have seen firsthand what it looks like to live in countries governed under systems like Sharia law,” he said last November….

sending a message to the Saudis and the ummah what he really thinks
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Probably to put pressure on the Saudis to stop playing footsie w/ Durqha countries like Turkey and Pakistan, and to show their reformist bona fides by fully embracing Israel regardless of what happens in Iran
JS says
Finally a man who knows what’s really happening, has seen it firsthand, and has the testicular fortitude to admit it.
Excellent choice, Mr. President.

He should watch his back and have security he trusts.
