Erdogan’s tirade at the UN against Israel is characteristic of who he is: an Islamic supremacist and a virulent antisemite; those two traits go together.
Turkey is a major threat to Israel and to Western interests. Under Erdogan, Turkey should long ago have been expelled from NATO. Some salient headlines:

Erdogan’s wretched choice of words as he accuses Israel of creating a “concentration camp” were carefully chosen as a malicious attack, not only on Israel, but on Jews as a whole.

In his address to the United Nations General Assembly, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launches a blistering attack on Israel over the war in Gaza and other policies affecting Palestinians, accusing it of “acts of state terror” and saying the enclave has become “the most inhumane and shameful concentration camp of our time.”
The leader opens his Turkish-language address by calling on countries that have not recognized a Palestinian state to do so, while denouncing the denial of a visa to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
Turning to the situation in Gaza, Erdogan says that “in Gaza alone, over the past three years, we have lost 74,000 of our brothers and sisters, most of them women and children, mind you,” saying, “we lost them to what we regard as acts of state terror by Israel,” and saying the enclave has become “the most inhumane and shameful concentration camp of our time.”
“We are faced with a genocidal mindset that can never get enough of killing,” he says of Israel, saying no one with “moral consciousness” can ignore the issue, to which parts of the assembly respond with several seconds of applause.
Erdogan also accuses Israel of refusing to advance the second stage of US President Donald Trump’s ceasefire agreement, while lamenting that the West Bank is experiencing severe settler “violence and terror” and that Muslims and Christians are being denied access to holy sites in Jerusalem.
The president calls for world leaders to “exert greater pressure” on Israel to advance the reconstruction of Gaza, which he says must begin “as soon as possible” amid stalled efforts by Trump’s Board of Peace to advance Washington’s peace plan for the Strip.

I have been studying Islam since Robert Spencer showed me the “Religion of Peace” statement of GWB to be a LIE in 2007. In addition to reading and writing here, I have read more than 30 books from a spectrum of authors and viewpoints. From all I have learned, Islam has taught and practiced for 1400 years that it SHALL be supreme. It has taught and practiced that any promise made whether to Infidel or to Muslim is good only so long as convenient. Any deal with a Muslim is at best temporary. That is shown by a well-known account of Mohammed, “The Perfect Man and Perfect Example for All Time.”
Mohammed laid siege to a fortified village of Jews. He promised them safe passage if they laid down their weapons and abandoned their village. IMMEDIATELY upon their exit HE ordered the slaughter of the men and enslavement of the women and children. It is utterly delusional to believe any Muslim is capable of making a reliable promise.
I had the opportunity in law school to read 6 excellent books on negotiation. There was a course being taught which I could not attend. ALL those authors agreed one of several predicate requirements for any worthwhile bargain is a reliable, trustworthy counterpart and a negotiable subject. What is negotiable between Life and Death, or Freedom and Slavery? How can a counterpart be trusted who lives and teaches an entire life that “lying whenever advantage can be obtained “is not merely permitted, but encouraged?
In my opinion, Witkoff and Kushner know nothing that is relevant to dealing with liars. They have negotiated with people who had something to lose and knew it as the deal was created. When dealing with Muslims, they know their promises are meaningless and have no consequences when they break them.

I take it Erdogan will never apologize for all the wrongs the Turks have done in the Middle East from the High Middle Ages onwards. Yeah, that ain’t gonna’ happen but, count on it, this wretched man, this enemy of the West at its best, will continue to accuse Israel of all kinds of imaginary crimes even though the modern state of Israel is the single best damn hope the Middle East has had going for it in many, many centuries—probably ever.

Far from apologizing, under Erdogan’s regime, Turkey celebrates not native Anatolian history (which would be Greek, Armenian, Kurd, Assyrian jahaliya history, or pre-islamic “ignorance”….) but rather, ethnic Turkic history. One of the things he introduced was the 16 great Turkic Empires, of which only 3 were based in Turkey – the Seljuqs and the Ottomans. While the first 8 were mainly Hunnic empires, of the last 8, 2 converted to islam, while the rest were genocidal islamic dynasties, like the Ghaznavids, Seljuqs, Tumurides, Ottomans and Mughals

The Bible clearly warns us in Ezekiel 38:5-6 the countries that form a coalition to attack Israel. They are Persia, (Iran) Put, (Libya) Cush,(Sudan) and Beth Togarmah (Turkey). Magog (the leader) is debatable some Biblical scholars say this is Russia while others say it’s also Turkey, I go along with the latter.

Please think about this: NATO has no rule or mechanism to expel a member. IF it did, like adding a member it would require a unanimous vote of all members. Do you think the UK, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden and others would vote to expel Turkey while at the same time they are surrendering to Muslim invasion and conquest? NATO is weak if not already dead. And, sad to say, the US enabled its death by not forcing other members to fund their own defense in favor of LAVISH welfare programs and OPEN borders, both national and international. The prospects for our future are grim.
Worth remembering. Turkey considers the ancient B61 nuclear bombs stored on US bases to be Turkey’s bombs and refused to allow them to be removed for maintenance and upgrade..

[Additional} I can think of 3 other assassinations of Nazis that excused massive and brutal retaliation, which to me represent a waste. Horst Wessel was killed turning him into a martyr who was used for propaganda the rest of the regime. A third level diplomat in Paris was killed triggering Krystal Nacht, the brutal “arrest” of thousands, the killing of about 700, the destruction of 1200 synagogues and 7000 Jewish businesses and shops, and Wilhem Gustav in Switzerland. The point I seek to support is that political assassination in totalitarian regimes is used as an excuse for slaughter. Erdogan does not need excuses, nor has any tyrant in Turkish history. Other ways must be found.
