Patti LuPone was left “furious” after an LGBTQ+ cruise she is scheduled to perform on was allegedly banned from entering Turkey.
On Friday, July 3, the 77-year-old Broadway star shared that she was “shocked” to learn that the gay cruise aboard Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady, on which she is scheduled to perform from July 5 to July 15, has been denied entry into the West Asian country.
“A ship — a magnificent ship — full of well-heeled gay men. And me. Denied entry to Turkey simply because of who is on board,” LuPone wrote on Instagram. “I am furious, but I am sailing, as the ship will make other ports of call.”
“I am ready to perform for all the wonderful men on this Atlantis cruise, who deserve so much better than this,” she added.
Atlantis Events, Virgin Voyages and Turkey’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The president and CEO of Atlantis Events, Rich Campbell, told CNN that the reason why the “Athens to Venice” cruise will no longer be stopping at the Turkish port town of Kuşadası is simply because “a gay group” will be on board….
It is more shocking that anyone could actually express shock over a gay cruise being banned from landing in Turkey. Muslim countries do not uphold gay rights. Under the Sharia, homosexuality is criminalized and penalties range from imprisonment to death. If the state doesn’t murder you, a mob or Muslim individual might.
The ego of leftists, combined with their lack of knowledge, knows no boundaries. If Patti LuPone had any understanding about the Sharia, she would have expected it. But she has likely fallen for the big lie that all Sharia is comprised of is Friday prayer, paying zakat, fasting and going to mosque. She and most of the gay attendees aboard the cruise likely support Islam, along with the ”Islamophobia” victimology subterfuge. They believe that Islam is a religion of peace and accepting of infidels and gays.
Turkish authorities stated that the cruise’s attendees had “behaviors incompatible with the fabric of our society and moral values.”
For the safety of attendees, it was best for their own good that they bypass Turkey.
Imagine if DuPone and attendees visited Turkey, Pakistan, Iran and Saudi Arabia and tried holding a gay parade.
Further illustrating the folly of the left, last week, NBC News called the Supreme Court decision upholding bans on trans athletes in girls’ and women’s sports “a blow to LGBTQ rights.” That ban was not a blow to LGBTQ rights. It had everything to do with protecting the equal rights of girls and women in America to their spaces, and upholding the ethics of fair competition. The LGBTQ community has full equal rights in America, but they want to trample the rights of others.
The president and CEO of Atlantis Events, Rich Campbell, also stated: “It’s pretty stunning, to be honest…It’s very concerning to me when a country decides they can pick and choose which tourists are allowed in and which are not.” This yet again shows up the folly of the left and expectation that the citizens of every country in the world is just like Western leftists, and that the “right wing” in America and worldwide constitutes their primary enemies.
Let’s hope against hope Patti LuPone and the other cruise attendees learned an elementary lesson about Islam. Chances are that they didn’t.

In Muslim countries, gays stay in the closet because coming out means prison or death. Iran gives them a choice: death or sex transition surgery. The gays’ notion that Turkey would show their gratitude for the anti-Israel stance by permitting 2,500 gays to visit shows how out-of-touch with reality they are.

Maybe if they all promoted themselves that they had sex with animals they might have a different outcome seeing animal sex is permitted in Islam so I have read in the media of Muslim males being found in western countries relieving their sexual urge on hoofed animals .
