Jihad Watch reported that “Both Republicans and Democrats oppose Trump’s mad plan to sell F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.” According to YNet News…
Israel and Greece have consistently opposed the possibility of Turkey acquiring the stealth fighters, arguing that such a move would harm their technological edge and alter the regional balance of power. Greece has already ordered F-35s, while the Israeli Air Force operates a unique version of the aircraft, which has taken part in operations in Lebanon, Syria and Iran.
But it’s much more than that. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is a paramount threat to Israel and Greece and a menace. In recognition of that, Greece “fiercely” lobbied France last year to halt sale of radar-guided, air-to-air Meteor missiles to Turkey. And Erdogan has ominously stated that “Israel’s ‘aggression’ poses ‘a threat to the whole world and must be stopped.’” Israel and Greece are now on alert. “Israel, Greece on alert as Turkey’s return to F-35 heats up,” by Sarantis Michalopoulos and Björn Stritzel, Euractiv, June 30, 2026:
US President Donald Trump’s apparent determination to make Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan “happy” at the NATO summit in Ankara next month has heightened concerns in neighbouring Greece and Israel, both of which oppose any sale of F-35 fighter jets to Turkey.
“I’m going to probably do something that will make them (Turkey) very happy,” Trump said last week when asked about his plans for the NATO summit in Ankara on 7–8 July.
Reuters reported that the Trump administration has already notified Congress of its intention to approve the sale of US engines worth €613 million for KAAN, Turkey’s fifth-generation fighter aircraft, which is currently under development.
The bigger question, however, is whether Washington will also pave the way for Turkey to acquire F-35 fighter jets. Ankara was removed from the F-35 programme in 2019 after purchasing the Russian S-400 air defence system, which Washington argued posed a threat to the aircraft’s sensitive technology by potentially collecting radar data on the F-35.
Israel and Greece have consistently opposed any Turkish acquisition of the US-made aircraft, arguing that it would erode their technological edge and alter the regional military balance. While Greece has ordered the F-35, Israel is operating its own modified version of the aircraft, which has seen combat over Lebanon, Syria and Iran…
Turkey has been described as “the new Iran,” and for good reason. Its reputation has aligned with that depiction:
- Turkish journalist close to Erdogan: Turkey should become a nuclear power and consider nuking Israel
- Turkey: ‘Israel cannot live without hostility,’ warns Israel that it ‘may target it next’
- Turkish president Erdogan accuses Israel of ‘atrocities’ against Palestine and Lebanon, threatens to attack
- Russia, China, Turkey pushing for immediate end to war against Iran
- Is Turkey ‘the new Iran’? A top Israeli strategic analyst thinks so
- Top Israeli analyst warns about dire implications of Trump’s support of Turkish forces in Gaza
- Trump’s Jihadist ‘Board of Peace’
Trump has also unwisely stated of Erdogan: “I like him. He’s a friend of mine. And he stayed out of the war…You know, he was a leading candidate to get involved in the war with Iran… He’s not a big fan of Israel, as you know…And I asked him to stay out of it, and he stayed out.”
Trump is getting justified pushback:
The Administration’s push to sell F-35 fighter aircraft to Turkey raises significant national security concerns.
While Turkey is a NATO ally, President Erdogan has repeatedly taken actions that call into question the country’s reliability as a strategic partner. That’s why…

The Armenian National Committee of America is now reportedly mobilizing efforts, along with Hellenic American allies “and a bipartisan group of U.S. House members,” to block the Trump administration’s F-35 fighter jets sale to Turkey.

It would be nice if Trump had advisers who could explain the nature of Islam to him. After all, it was Erdogan who said, “Islam is Islam.”

Trump has been really disappointing w his recent ME decisions. From holding Israel back from finishing Hamas, pursing his foolish Iran “deal” like a high school boy w a crush on a fickle girl, to stopping Israel from finishing Hezbollah in Lebanon, now this asinine insanity.
Brian Hunter says
Since these aircraft are software controlled, I would like to see a remote “kill switch” installed in the s/w that would allow the US to disable the planes should Turkey use them against any ally.

If this had happened in my country, I would hv asked how much Trump had got the cut from the deal. But, after reading the situation in the west on news, now I have the same question. Probably not some direct benefit from the deal, but at least some indirect benefit.
Chatillon says
Meh. There’s probably a kill switch
Rick Gordon says
It’s clearly against American interests to sell the F-35 to Turkey as long as Erdogan remains in power. His world view is Islam dominates all.

Even beyond Erdogan. The secular Turkey of Kemal Ataturk is a thing of the past

Now I’m getting to the point where if another attempt is made to impeach Trump, I’ll quietly (unlike the TDS guys) cheer it from the sidelines
How sociopathic does one have to be to even sell those things to the neo-Ottoman caliphate?
GE says
Me too, Infidel. His ME policies are skata, imho.
Jets to Turkey?
Gift plane accepted from Qatar?
And imho, the TRIPP plan screws Armenia. Watch for Erdogan and his pals the Azeris to start another conflagration in the Caucasus.
I’m seriously questioning his brain matter these days.

I agree. Didn’t his sons just invest in war weapons; if so Trump will make lots and lots of money. I no longer thinks he cares about Americans who he is suppose to be protecting, he is thinking about how he can make a lot of money and he already has a lot but wants more and more. I guess he thinks like Muslims now who think they should be handed over money for doing nothing but commit crimes.

In his previous term, he didn’t even accept a salary. This time, he seems to want to undo all the losses that he incurred due to the weaponized Biden justice department by raking in the foreign donations and twisting US policy according to it
Unlike then, it’s now a fair accusation

When I read reports such as this, the Book of Daniel comes to mind. The part where the angel is attempting to go to assist the Hebrew Prophet in Babylon, but is hindered by the “prince of the royal realm of Persia.”
The nations’ human leaders are not fully in control of what they do, don’t do, and the eventual results.

No Allies in the U.S for Israel, Australia under Trump

This is unwise…….
