“Turkey threatens military action against Israel, MK calls Recep Tayyip Erdogan ‘pathetic,’” by Tobias Siegal, Jerusalem Post, April 12, 2026:
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday accused Israel of carrying out atrocities against Palestine and Lebanon and threatened potential military action against the Jewish state, similar to its past interventions in Karabakh and Libya.
“The blood-stained genocide network continues to kill innocent children, women, and civilians without any rule or principle, ignoring all kinds of human values,” Erdogan alleged while addressing the International Asia-Political Parties Conference in Istanbul.
“Despite the ceasefire, Israel has forced 1.2 million Lebanese to leave their homes due to attacks on civilian settlements,” Erdogan said, despite both Israel and the United States rejecting claims of Lebanon being included in the current ceasefire with Iran. Erdogan went on to describe Israeli actions as “barbaric,” while citing a controversial law recently passed by the Knesset to approve death penalties against terrorists, which the Turkish leader said was meant “only for Palestinian prisoners.”
Responding to reporters later in the day, Erdogan escalated his rhetoric even further, suggesting that Ankara could choose to engage with Israel militarily.
“We must be strong to prevent Israel from doing this to Palestine,” Erdogan said. “Just as we entered Karabakh, just as we entered Libya, we will do the same to them,” he stated. “There is nothing to prevent us from doing it. We just need to be strong so that we can take these steps.”
Erdogan’s harsh rhetoric is part of his ongoing narrative attempting to position Turkey as a staunch defender of Palestinian rights.
Responding to his comments, Heritage Minister Amichai Eliyahu (Otzma Yehudit) sharply condemned Erdogan’s remarks and moral high ground and accused the Turkish leader of hypocrisy, noting Turkey’s history of territorial aggression in Cyprus and its treatment of minorities, particularly the Kurds…..

Yeah, I’m glad that the president indicated as such last week. I do hope that it’s for real, and not just a negotiating chip. Actually, just have alliances w/ countries that pull their weight. Israel is an obvious one, and I also liked Quad 5 years ago, but am no longer sure about either Australia or India now. But yeah, pull out of NATO, put all the troops either in America or the Americas and maybe some in the Indo-Pacific theater

Also one more reason why Israel should not leave Syria while it is ruled by a terrorist Turkish proxy. I expect Turkish forces to enter Syria using the narrative they need to protect their proxy from Israel. In a direct war with Turkey Israel might be forced to use nukes to survive.
Trump should get a new wholly owned military base in Gaza that is not subject to any host nations whims and agenda.

Biblical prophecy warns that the Ottoman empire will arise again and the anti-christ will come from Turkey. I am not saying that Edragon is the anti-christ, but if he isn’t he is most certainly paving the way for him.

John, anyone anti_Christ is an anti-christ. There are “many” as the Apostle John wrote, so anyone who fights against Christianity and Jesus, are part of the antichrist.
The snake of turkey certainly fits the definition. There may be some *main* one, such as erdogan who people will see as what you describe. We can watch and wait and see how it all comes about.

Yes I agree there are many anti-Christ’s but I’m referring to the final anti-Christ (Gog) or the singular anti-Christ, the “Man of Lawlessness” the one who brings a coalition of armies against Israel.
Incidentally the Christian anti-Christ is known to muslims as the Mahdi (the Mahdi is the muslim messiah) In other words, the islamic messiah is the Christian anti-christ, it’s the same person. Everything the mahdi does in the quran, the anti-christ does in the Bible. According to many renowned scholars of Biblical prophecy, such people as Walid Shoebat and Joel Richardson, the anti-christ will come out of Turkey. The beast that received a fatal wound to its head in Revelations and was miraculously healed was the islamic beast. Meaning that the Ottoman empire will be revived, and the caliph restored.

Turkey’s history is one of the many reasons I came to conclude that the fight is against Islam – not just Muslims. Islam is the infection, Muslims are the carriers. The ideology is always there in Islam’s damnable, unchangeable, “holy” books.
Ataturk was a “good” “moderate” Muslim, according to his daughter and Muslim family.
Erdogan is like a teenage son, who upon reading the same books Ataturk read, saw that his “national father” was not being a devout Muslim; he was not really following Islam.
What really complicates the situation is the U.S. nukes at Incirlik Air Base. It’s a dual-key system but it is unsettling.
How much less cocky would Erdogan be without those, once very necessary, NATO, forward-deployed nukes.? How much less cocky without NATO?
Anyone have any idea about how to go about getting nukes back?

According to a close friend, retired USAF Security Forces, the nukes in Turkey are still under US control. However I foresee a possible change to that status if a Democrat occupies the WH in 2028.

As we’ve learned, NATO is a feckless organization and the United States would be better suited to leave and create a new organization with selecticely chosen member nations whom the United States could depend on. It is obviously Turkey and Spain are two that would not make the first cut. France and Italy are questionable.
The US must move it’s nuclear weapons out of Turkey before they consider taking over the US bases. There’s just over two years left – if a Democrat assumes occupation of the Oval Office in 2028, Turkey will move then.

I have always been enamored of the beauty of Turkey and its place geographically and in the history of our world. I hve not trusted Edogan about anything and I am miffed by how Turkey is even a member of NATO. What trickery was that? I am now in search of Turkish history ad the place it plays on the world stage today.
On Wednesday, the UN’s 54-nation Economic and Social Council nominated the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UN’s Committee for Program and Coordination, which meets next month to shape policy on women’s rights, human rights, disarmament, and terrorism prevention. ECOSOC’s nomination is effectively decisive, as the UN General Assembly customarily rubber-stamps such nominations without a vote.
This is insane and is just like having Turkey in NATO.
I am ordering several books and I intend to educate myself on the lies and obfuscation being perpetrated upon the West by Islam. The Crusade is not done!
