Utah Muslims reach out to CAIR for new chapter: ‘Definitely a need’ for Muslim advocacy

The request for a Utah chapter of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR is being positioned as a response to a heinous attack against a man named Sayed Sohail just because he’s a Muslim; but that level of violence against Muslims in America thankfully is rare, and does not warrant a CAIR chapter in Utah. CAIR is adept at creating and sustaining a Muslim victimhood narrative while ignoring the myriad human rights abuses and murders that Muslims commit against infidels globally, in the name of the religion itself and in accord with its teachings.

The request for a Utah CAIR chapter from Shuaib Din, the imam of the West Jordan-based Islamic Community Center, is a manipulative use of the victimhood of Sayed Sohail. His perpetrator will already face the full extent of the law.

CAIR smears as “Islamophobic” anyone who sheds light on the expansionary and violent nature of Islam and the threat it poses to America and other Western societies.

The truth is that Islamic supremacists are escalating their efforts. They are currently in sheer panic mode over the Sharia-Free America Congressional Caucus, and that panic extends to CAIR.

CAIR was designated as a terrorist organization in the states of Texas and Florida, which was a devastating blow to an organization advancing Islamic supremacy everywhere.

A battle is being waged for the soul of America, perhaps like never before. Under Obama and Biden, groups and individuals who had connections to Muslim Brotherhood and its offshoot, Hamas, proliferated. Many were listed as unindicted coconspirators in the Holy Land Foundation jihad terror funding case. CAIR was specifically listed under the category of “ individuals/entities who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood’s Palestine Committee and/or its organizations.”

Groups named on the unindicted coconspirator list and their supporters have long intimidated Americans, using the “Islamophobia” subterfuge. With pushback under the Trump administration, the spotlight is now on them. Americans are waking up to see that these groups and individuals have divided loyalties in America.

The last thing Utah needs, where American interests are concerned, is a new and aggressive CAIR chapter. Such advocacy has nothing to do with American interests, or that of a peaceful America. It has everything to do with Islamic interests and promoting the Sharia.

SALT LAKE CITY — Spurred by a knife attack earlier this month on a Muslim kiosk operator at a West Valley City mall, a Muslim leader in Utah says the state needs an advocacy group to defend the Islamic community’s interests.

Shuaib Din, the imam of the West Jordan-based Islamic Community Center, has reached out to representatives of the Washington, D.C.-based Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, about opening a chapter in Utah. A rep from the group, Edward Ahmed Mitchell, traveled to Utah last week and took part in a gathering to draw attention to the dangers the Muslim community here can face.

“Basically to ensure that our civil rights are protected and not violated,” Din said Tuesday. “It’s just an idea thing right now. It would be nice to have a CAIR chapter here in Utah because there’s definitely a need for it.”

He’s already talked to CAIR officials about the possibility, and they are supportive. But more work needs to be done to spread the word to the Islamic community around the state about the importance of taking proactive steps to defend the community’s interests. Din also suspects a fundraising initiative would be needed to generate money to help launch a branch here.

“It’s a long road, it’s not an easy task,” he said. CAIR operates 25 chapters or satellite offices around the country.…
