Despite the surge in antisemitism, Canada under a Liberal government remains committed to fighting “Islamophobia,” and is pursuing this commitment to an excessive degree. An eyebrow-raising incident happened recently involving Toronto Police. See HERE.
Why are @TorontoPolice officers in uniform at a police station boasting about Muslim conversion rates to Islam as a direct result after October 7th, the largest mass casualty of Jews since the Holocaust?@TPSOperations @TPSMyronDemkiw @TPAca @CACP_ACCP pic.twitter.com/bgjOeKpq9k

And all that has come of it so far is an apology. As I wrote on March 13: An apology isn’t enough. There is a pattern to be observed: when trusted professionals who incite hatred and violence against Jews/or celebrate Hamas are publicly caught, they apologize and their deeds are forgiven and forgotten. However, anyone who merely offends Islam is fired.
The Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs has called for a formal investigation:
We appreciate @TPSMyronDemkiw apology for @TPS‘ deeply insensitive podcast that disregards our community’s serious and legitimate concerns, particularly about how pro-Hamas rallies continue unabated on our streets and neighbourhoods.
But important questions remain about how this… https://t.co/0vLEwOeRgH pic.twitter.com/cSPOfrwJhC

Note the wording of Chief Demkiw’s apology:
We recognize the Jewish community’s profound pain and anguish as a result of October 7th and the ensuing rise of anti-Semitism. I have personally heard from the community about the impact of this podcast, and I’m truly sorry. Our commitment to protecting our Jewish communities remains unwavering.
Nowhere does Demkiw acknowledge the horror of what the two officers, Farhan Ali and Haroon Siddiqui, actually said. How can Ali and Siddiqui get away with saying that “the October 7 massacre brought people closer to Islam and that it was Islamophobic to describe pro-Palestinian rallies as pro-Hamas”?
Apologizing for upsetting a person or community is not an apology for what was done. Chief Demkiw has not admitted any wrongdoing on behalf of Ali and Siddiqui and whomever was involved; nor has he indicated any understanding that what was said was wrong, repulsive, and antisemitic, and celebrated violence as well. An absence of this critical recognition is deeply disturbing. And from a police chief, it is even worse.
A formal investigation, as CIJA requested, isn’t enough, either. There should be full recognition of the egregious nature of the statements, followed by serious consequences. Then there should be a public review in order to discover what is actually going on in these Diversity, Equity and Inclusion programs, including an inquiry into which organizations are involved, and what they stand for. Until these issues are confronted adequately, antisemitism will continue to rise.

These so called Police have a higher loyalty to their religion than to their duty in serving the public with neutrality and equality under law.
They will no doubt have taken an oath as to the impartial discharge of their duties but we know that only one oath is permissable for Muslims and that is to their God
Whatever their individual private views and opinions are, they should never be aired publicly.
Here they are in uniform, with a massive Toronto Police table. This implies full approval by the body.
We would hope that no police officer in a western democracy should be displaying such overt religious bias, let alone on such an emotive subject.
They should be dismissed and go find a police job in an Islamic state.

Canada is a completely lost nation which, unfortunately, is on our N border. Trump is right to treat it as a potentially hostile nation.

It’s definitely beginning to look that way.

Hundreds of comments on X, virtually all disapproving of the recording, and what the destructive potential it represents; the fall of Toronto to Islam.

Believe me when I tell you: no government is perfect and the Liberal government in Canada has made its share of mistakes, but the fact that support for the Liberals has risen since that party changed leaders is the best news that has been heard in this country for a very long time.
The possibility that the Conservative Party here, led by a petty-minded, self-serving, vain as a peacock, dangerously pin-headed ideologue, whose idea of governance would be to make the entire country suffer in order to benefit its wealthiest sector, has been a nightmare of overwhelming proportions.
Criticize the Liberals if you wish, because everyone can be criticized, but the Liberal Party of Canada are our hope here and our only chance of a near future characterized by a measure of what the alternative, under the direction of its screaming demagogue leader, has never so much as heard of: common human decency.

“ …the Liberal Party of Canada are our hope here and our only chance ….”
It’s starting to look like there is no hope for Canada and that their ostrich policies could be a danger to the US. Of corse, we have similar problems here but a significant majority that can still see clearly and a current leadership that might turn the tide.

Devon Fremd,
My view from the United States:
Pierre Poilievre is the only real hope for Canada.
My niece and her husband – who currently both live in Toronto – both corroborated my view.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, James, but the stop Poilievre front is growing all the time. To many of us on the ground here he is quite simply an evil man. With all respect to your niece and her husband.

LARGE PARTS OF TORONTO ARE IDEOLOGICALLY CAPTURED.
.
LENT began on March 5, 2025.
.
I pass by the PARKDALE COLLEGIATE INSTITUTE on Jameson Avenue in Toronto’s Little Tibet neighborhood almost daily.
.
For the past week the large display outside the front door has flashed the message RAMADAN MUBARAK every few seconds.
.
• This location is in Little Tibet and the largest community here unsurprisingly is Tibetan and Buddhist.
• The second largest is Filipino (very Catholic).
• The third largest is mixed European (Polish, Portuguese, British) Christian.
• Muslims are likely 10 to 15 percent of the population.
.
I ignored the sign for a week. I thought it’s March Break, so maybe the sign will change next week.
.
No that didn’t happen. That wasn’t a huge surprise. In December the sign only flashed Happy Holidays, not Merry Christmas.
.
DEAR TDSB;
The Easter Bunny will be passing by on Good Friday, and he will be carrying a basket full of Goodies. It would be nice if that sign flashed Happy Easter or something appropriate on April 18th.
.
You might also want to wish the Dalai Lama a Happy Birthday this year as he’s now 89.

I note that the 2 Muslim cops stated that a Palestinian rally was not the same as a Hamas rally but that’s not true because the the West Bank PA Palestinians are worse as 75% of gazans and 85% of PA residents polled approved of the Oct 7 atrocities. Such high percentages do call for viewing the groups as a whole negatively and dangerous. I venture to speculate that a majority of the worlds Muslims also feel the same. I don’t need an Oct 7 in the USA, we should have learned from 911 and all the other terror events. We formed views of the Nazis so what’s the difference?
