Under Justin Trudeau, Canada has had a big problem with its lax border enforcement for years. This has not only posed a threat to Canadians, but to the US as well. It is encouraging to see that finally, the urgent problem is being recognized by Trump’s pick for border czar, Tom Homan, to the utter humiliation of the incompetent Trudeau government: “After India, Trump’s border czar raises concerns over terror risk from Canada,” WION, November 14, 2024:
Winner of the 2024 United States presidential election Donald Trump’s pick for border czar, Tom Homan, has raised concerns over criminals and terrorists making their way to the US through the ill-guarded US-Canada border, warning that Ottawa must be prepared for “tough conversations” in coming months. This comes after India over the past months has raised similar concerns over Canada providing refuge to criminals and Khalistani terrorists wanted in India.
“There has to be an understanding from Canada that they can’t be a gateway to terrorists coming into the United States,” Homan warned.
“The problem with the northern border is a huge national security issue,” said Homan in an interview with 7News. Homan added that fixing the crisis at the northern border will be his top priority…
Jihad Watch has kept on top of the security problems from the Northern border for years. See HERE.
Since October 7, there have been several more troubling occurrences.
The issues stem from several factors:
- Trudeau’s lax immigration policies. 39,000 illegals crossed into Canada from the infamous Roxham Road in Quebec 2022. By 2019, the largest concentration was reportedly from Nigeria, while Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt and Yemen were in the top 12 countries of origin.
- Trudeau’s imprudence is apparent as he argued: “We have 6,000 kilometres worth of undefended shared border with the United States, and… people will choose to cross elsewhere.” Since 2019, reports have been sketchy at best on the countries of origin of Roxham Road illegals.
- Trudeau’s welcome mat roll-out to ISIS also provided encouragement to illegals. He once said: “We know that actually someone who has engaged and turned out from that hateful ideology can be an extraordinarily powerful voice for preventing radicalization in future generations, and young people within the community.”
- The Trudeau government has broken from tradition against democratic ally Israel in favor of the Palestinian “resistance,” which serves as a welcome invitation to jihadists and their sympathizers. In March, Canada resumed funding to Hamas-linked UNRWA. In May, Canada announced $65 million in funding to UNRWA.
- Canada is infamous for cracking down upon speech deemed “offensive” to Muslims, as well as upon anything that is contrary to woke indoctrination, yet its unwillingness to crack down on the celebration of Hamas by pro-Hamas groups is appalling. This tells the world that Canada is welcoming to terrorists.
- Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly tweeted a picture of herself holding hands with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. In March, Member of Knesset Dan Illouz sent a letter to Joly, saying that the vote for a Canadian arms embargo on Israel “sends a dangerous signal to the world that Canada is willing to sideline a democratic ally in favor of appeasing radical elements.”
- Canada has long had an Islamic supremacist influence problem that has worsened due to a “submissive response” since 2015, when Trudeau and the Liberal Party came to power. Three years before that, under Stephen Harper, Canada shut down Iran’s embassy in Ottawa, due to its actions to establish a fifth column in Canada with a goal of attacking the US. Iran was found to be manipulating Iranians in Canada and other countries for years. The most influential Iranians and Muslims are “hand-picked to infiltrate and influence the Canadian government’s image of the Islamic regime, thereby affecting the political decision-making process and affecting policies.” When Trudeau came to power, he had every intention of reestablishing diplomatic ties with Iran. But then in 2017, there was a sudden shift in Liberal government policy. The Montreal Gazette reported that then Foreign Affairs Minister Stephane Dion abruptly quit. Along with the prospect of the incoming Trump government in the US, Dion’s resignation led to the end of the Canadian government’s plans with the Iranian regime. Meanwhile, the threat from Iran is far from over. See a report that emerged in August about Iran’s election interference HERE.
- Days ago, two Islamic State-affiliated teens were arrested on accusations of plotting to bomb a pro-Israel rally on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Former Netanyahu spokesman Eylon Levy recently said that “Canada is in danger of being defined by hateful extremism.”
“Allahu Akbar” isn’t a political protest slogan. It’s a jihadi war cry. Canada has a domestic extremism problem. pic.twitter.com/Dw01CPcFEi

The fear of Islamic supremacist lobbies is intense in Canada, and thus, the Trudeau government has operated against Canada’s interests with impunity. The Trudeau government is so aggressive with its own citizens that Trudeau’s cabinet “casually discussed…crushing the Freedom Convoy with tanks” as patriots protested against government overreach during Covid.
Trudeau also had a diplomatic fallout with India over a heavy presence of Khalistani terrorists wanted in Canada; India contends that Canada is providing refuge for them.
Let’s hope that the new Trump administration is able to influence the Trudeau government when it comes to terrorists who have been in their heyday, thriving and multiplying in Canada; this also has an impact upon America, as Tom Homan recognizes.

I’m finally happy we will have a border czar that loves America and will support his people in protecting our Great Nation.

The thing is a strong response will only her the states.

JT, are you trying to say that our defending Americans against Jihad terror will somehow hurt the States? How?

From Canada 10 years ago were comments from MBs to CAIR that according to the phases of plans, Islam would be taking USA in 2025. I am relieved Someone knows the dangers but I wonder if he knows how BIG they mean this coming phase is planned to be. What fools Americans have been. ARE. No free country can ever allow Supremacists who will move to destroy all diversity. Its what Supremacy means.
Islamophobia is Sanity sorry to say. Supremacy is dangerous. Its just plain Danger.

I do not consider it an urgent situation if Pablo crosses the Rio Grande and takes up residence I the US. Most likely he will get a job, even if it’s standing outside of Home Depot for day labor, every once and a while you get a bad apple that turns to crime, and even then it’s minor, such as shoplifting. I am not talking about the organized Venusian gangs, but the lone Mexican.
On the other hand, when Abdul Abulbul Amir
enters illegally, he tends to find a mosque and team up with others for jihad. My experience from the Northeast, is they disappear into the bowels of Newark or Jersey City and vandalize the Jewish owned stores. This only makes local news. They then graduate into harassing Jewish appearing people on the street. And every so often some of them acquire not so good bomb making skills and venture their way into Manhattan, usually under the guise of Halal lunch trucks, planting suspicious packages all over the place (which doesn’t make the news) until they eventually plant the real thing. Luckily in recent years, all their plans never materialized, but it’s only a matter of time until one slips through.

I disagree w/ you here. Even if one puts jihadist terrorists on a scale of 10, groups like Tren de Aragua or MS-13 are right there, at a 9 or 8, if not higher. Like everyone else, Pablo needs to come in legally. Not just him, but even others – Nikolai from Russia, Trevor from Britain, Sudarshan from Nepal, Kwasi from Nigeria, Jean from Haiti and so on
I am in favor of the travel ban that President Trump had the first time around being back, but this time, w/ a new set of countries – Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iran, Iraq, Qatar, Syria, “Palestine” (including Israeli muslims), Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Algeria, Nigeria. The non-muslim countries I’d have on this list would be Venezuela, Nicaragua and Bolivia, whose regimes are hostile to the US. But I’d drop some of the countries in the earlier list, like Burma, Tanzania, Eritrea
Bexarkat says
I am a Texan only 150 miles from the border. Tren de Aragua is here and active. MS 13 is here and active. The cartels are here and active, And our Sheriff is a feckless fool of a Democrat who sang Kamala’s praises at the DNC for her securing the border.

I know how you feel. I am on the AZ border and just two weeks ago there was a lockdown in my friends neighborhood a couple of miles away. After Biden blew the borders wide open, a BP officer told me that we would only see agents in our area if they were chasing really bad hombres. Otherwise they were “processing” border crossers.
Been a fun 4 years down here.

Tom Homan is the second person to identify the Canadian border as a problem: the first was Vivek Ramaswamy during his run for POTUS. Yeah, Canada openly admitting just about every jihadist (and Khalistani) supporter that they could find is something that the US should note, as they decide what level of a filter they should have at all the border posts b/w the 2 countries. If Canada doesn’t collect data on who comes in and cannot provide data on that, then they too belong on the travel ban list
On the above story, India has already downgraded diplomatic relations w/ Canada: anything more, and the 2 countries would have snapped it altogether. I’m surprised that Israel ain’t there yet, but it could soon be. Problem is that flipping a country w/ just 30 million people like Canada is like flipping states like Colorado or Arizona: it doesn’t take too many people to do it. People are hoping for the Conservatives to return to power next year, but I fear that Canada already has too many of these malcontents and is too far gone to salvage, and that the US needs to be as strict w/ that border as it is w/ Mexico
Bexarkat says
Trudeau is responsible for the almost completed islamization of Canada. We must be as vigilant to our north porous border as we are to the south porous border. I pray Mr. Homan takes note.
Patriot64 says
Our friends to the North have to remove their PM from office and replace him with someone who loves their Country just as much President Trump loves America.
gravenimage says
The next national election in Canada is less than a year away. Let’s hope our northern neighbors choose more wisely next time.
Ralph M says
Only option is to secure our borders. Asking Canada or Mexico to clean up their problems only makes them cry the U.S. is picking on them, that their politicians capitalize on and they will never do it. Just do what we have to do and don’t count on either of them!

Sie hatten ihren Spaß, it’s over. Jetzt ist Zahltag für diese Clowns und ihren Apologeten.
Michelle Colcerin says
And illegals were coming into Canada from the States via Roxham Rd after being bussed there, so this goes both ways. Now you have someone on your side willing to deal with this. Praying Canada follows suit quickly.
James Lincoln says
Tom Homan is the best possible pick for President Trump’s border czar.
And maybe U.S. representative for Louisiana’s 3rd congressional district Clay Higgins can help him out…
