Canada under Trudeau broke with tradition in 2019, when the Liberal government voted to support an anti-Israel, “pro-Palestine” UN resolution.
Five months after Hamas’ savage attack on Israelis, Canada’s Foreign Minister Melanie Joly posted a photo of herself on X holding hands with Mahmoud Abbas.
In a closed-doors meeting in September, Liberal MPs on the House of Commons foreign affairs committee secured support from the far-left New Democrat Party and Quebec Bloc for a motion to study the quickest path to the Trudeau government’s recognition of a Palestinian state. Conservatives on the committee rejected the motion.
Now Canada is reaching out to “allies” (that is, leftist globalist governments) in its quest to recognize a Palestinian state. This comes at the worst possible time, as Israel is at war with jihadist foes who seek to “globalize the intifada.” Such a move omits Israel from the discussion and, in fact, sends a hostile message to the Jewish state. In May, when Norway, Ireland and Spain said they would recognize a Palestinian state, Israel denounced their decisions and recalled its ambassadors to the three countries. Prime Minister Netanyahu said the decision was “akin to handing out ‘a reward for terrorism.’”
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) already recognizes a “state of Palestine” and has been on a mission to rally support for Palestinian statehood globally since September. The goals of the OIC will lead to further pressure on Israel. The OIC seeks to:
- establish an independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders.
- establish East Jerusalem as the Palestinian capital.
- endorse the Palestinian right to full UN membership.
It is much more than merely symbolic, as leftist reports state. It’s a recognition that strengthens the Palestinian “resistance” and its goal to “globalize the intifada.” It’s also a move that will backfire on Western countries.

Ottawa has been speaking with like-minded countries about recognizing a Palestinian state, a government official told a committee of parliamentarians studying the quickest path toward such a declaration Thursday afternoon.
“We’re taking notes, we’re talking to each other, we’re weighing the considerations as a group of very like-minded countries,” said Alexandre Lévêque, assistant deputy minister for Europe, the Middle East and Arctic Branch.
Lévêque would not name any of the countries in question, citing the confidential nature of diplomatic conversations.
“A number of our like-minded are struggling with the same concepts, and are reflecting on when the right time to recognize a Palestinian state would be,” he said.
The motion studied by the committee, which Liberal MPs proposed in September, has been controversial. It was first discussed only behind closed doors, and earlier this week, parliamentarians heard from community groups with diametrically opposed views on whether Canada should move ahead with recognizing a Palestinian state immediately…

“The North American Perimeter Defense Treaty” which is still in force and effect was written by Liberal John Manly.in 2002-03. The treaty is to protect mutually the US and Canada and Mexico. Trudeau has deliberately breached the treaty at all levels.
In so doing the treaty allows the US military to enter Canada solely on Presidential order without notice and no forewarning to Canada or Mexico to protect the economy and governments of North America. Paul Martin said it would never be needed.
And Trudeau has been a destabilizing threat to both Canada and the United States since 2016.

Who exactly are Canada’s allies? Starmer? Macron? Scholz? There ain’t a shortage of countries that have recognized a “State of Palestine”, including Trudeau’s new arch-enemy India. Are there that many muslims in Canada spread out over enough constituencies to enable Trudeau to return to power in next year’s elections?

Which means they are hostile towards Israel and other allies like the US that supports them.
So when think they gave the Palis what they wanted, a state, what changes? Absolutely nothing unless they hope to form some military pact with Palestine and go to war against Israel.

What’s the point of winning a war if the victors have to give back territory to the vanquished.
War is not a practice session, not a rehearsal.
The result of most territories’ borders are the result of conflict. (Will Canada recognize a separate French speakers state seceding from Canada just to be nice to the the overwhelmed French).
Although some territories, like California and Louisiana, are just bought and sold after the original conflicts. Maybe that’s the way to go. How many shekels for the West Bank? Gaza is a bargain, but is sold “As is” with no cease-fire guarantees.

Israel CANNOT go back to the pre-1967 borders if it wants to defend itself.
As it is right now, Israel is roughly two -thirds the size of Belgium, Taiwan or Canada’s Vancouver Island, and much more densely populated.
The Palestinians have received something like 40 billion U.S. dollars in aid over the past several decades, and what have they done with most of it? They’ve invested heavily in terrorism (rockets, firearms, grenades, terror tunnels,et cetera), and let the top Hamas leaders pocket most of the rest!
