Canada: Pro-Hamas vigil honoring mastermind of Oct. 7 jihad massacre, Yahya Sinwar, to be held in Mississauga

An event celebrating the savage brute, the late Yahya Sinwar, who was responsible for October 7, and other members of Hamas is scheduled for November 26 in Mississauga. Such an event will encourage the further targeting of Jews, yet it is being permitted in a country that prides itself on cracking down on “hate.” Hamas aims to obliterate the Jewish state, and this goal is documented in the Hamas Charter.

Canada will not tolerate overt hatred or incitement to murder against any group other than Jews.

This event makes a mockery of Canada’s Remembrance Day, as did an Ottawa school which played a Palestinian song associated with jihad in Gaza as its only Remembrance Day music.

The upcoming Mississauga event is particularly concerning after the Amsterdam pogrom and a copycat attack on Jews in Belgium, where six Muslims were arrested before the violence could escalate to the level seen in Amsterdam.

Is Canada becoming a breeding ground for antisemitic hatred?

A vigil for the former Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, is set to be held at Mississauga’s Celebration Square on November 26. The vigil is also expected to honour other leaders of the Hamas terror group in Gaza who have been killed in the hostilities.

Sinwar, who was killed by Israeli military forces in Gaza on October 26, was one of the most influential figures responsible for the terrorist attacks on southern Israel last year that resulted in the deaths of approximately 1200 people.

The terrorist attacks orchestrated by Sinwar also resulted in over 240 Israelis and foreign nationals being taken hostage, with 97 still remaining unaccounted for.

Despite Sinwar’s past, the event is scheduled to move ahead as planned in Mississauga beginning at 6pm on November 26. Hamas is designated as a terrorist entity in Canada, sparking questions about whether the event should be permitted.….

    • Imagine if a neo-Nazi group wanted to have a similar Remembrance Day ceremony in Canada, but honoring Adolf Hitler himself.

      Would it be permitted to go forward? What’s the difference? I sure as heck don’t see any major difference.

    • They should get a report of how sinwar is doing in his eternal stint in hell. Sinwar was so bad that God may elect his dissolving of evil spirits. I can hear sinwar hollering for mercy,but no one can hear him.

      • You may recall what happened to that guy, herod, who thought he was God and ‘worms’ got him. the sinwar ghoul was certainly deserving of his own worm ‘dinner.’

    Sinwar was a dangerous and vicious man who of violence killing in the jihad.

    Therefore , it all came back down on him . For Sinwar received a death by violence by the Israel Defense Force.

    Sinwar’s death was a just, righteous and necessary killing.

  5. It’s best that Yahya Sinwar was eliminate. For Sinwar was dangerous malicious vicious and death inflecting man. All the death he infected on others finally came back down upon him.

    As it’s been said “What goes around comes around.”

    In addition, If the question would be asked : “What is Yahya Sinwar now ?” The answer :would be that “Sinwar is now a dead dog.”

    I can remember when the main thing I knew about Toronto suburb Mississauga was that this is where Lynn Johnston’s wholesome family comic strip “For Better of For Worse” was set.

    I’m trying to imagine Dr. Patterson and his sweet family being beaten by a Muslim mob passing Celebration Square…

  7. I live in Canada. Hundreds of Churches have been burned to the ground or vandalized since Trudeau became PM. His statement that Christians were the worst thing about Canada followed by his response to our Churches was “that’s understandable”!!! It’s not only the Jews who are being targeted.

    • No, Christians are in as much danger as are the Jews. All one has to do is look at Africa, especially Nigeria,
      Every week, right here, we read of mozlums murdering Christians in various nations of that continent, and unlike what is happening with the Jews in Amsterdam and Belgium, etc. the news out of Africa re; mozlums slaughtering Christians, hardly sees the light of day.

    • Horrible, Sharon. I had not even heard about this–appently at least 33 churches have been burned down in the past few years in Canada. That Trudeau called this savagery “fully understandable” is grotesque.

      I do have to say that whatever the problems we have in the US, burning churches is usually regarded as horrifying to those across the political spectrum.

Mississauga’s mayor, Carolyn Parrish, said that the vigil is protected under Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms and said she would and could do nothing to stop it from happening on public property. She actually compared Sinwar to Nelson Mandela. “Your terrorist and somebody else’s terrorist may be two different things,” she is reported as saying by Ari David Blaff in the National Post. Blaff added, “Parrish’s statements comparing Mandela’s activism against South African apartheid to Sinwar — the former leader of a group committed to Israel’s destruction — were widely condemned by leading Jewish voices across the country. ‘Making any correlation to Nelson Mandela, a man honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize, to Yayha Sinwar, is despicable. It is an insult to the too-many families who have lost loved ones because of Sinwar, including Canadians,’ the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA) wrote in a public statement following the mayor’s comments. CIJA said Parrish’s comments ‘crossed a line,’ adding her ‘moral compass is obviously broken.’”

    The Royal Canadian Legion protested the use (abuse) of the poppy symbol and “Lest We Forget” on the post about the vigil. The post has now been amended with Parrish’s evil sentiment replacing “Lest We Forget”. It now says, “Sinwar is our Mandela”.

    Can you imagine the reaction of Mississauga’s mayor if a Jewish group wanted to hold a vigil for the victims and hostages of October 7th? Or if a Christian group wanted to hold a vigil for anything at all? But Parrish is just following the precedent of her predecessor, Bonnie Crombie, who amended Mississauga’s noise bylaw during Covid to allow the Muslim call to prayer to be blasted all over the city—because those poor Muslims couldn’t gather in their mosques. Was any provision made for the Christians or Jews or Hindus who also couldn’t meet in their respective houses of worship? You guess.

    Interesting, after all the evil mayor’s damnable attempts to justify herself, I see that the vigil is not—as of today, November 15th—listed on the Celebration Centre website’s upcoming events page (though events are listed through to the New Year). Fence sitting? Sheer cowardice? Time will tell.

    According to the Arabic media Yahya Sinwar has the full responsibility for all who still dying in Gaza and the hundreds of thousands who left their houses and living as a refugees

    All Arab countries in the Middle East are considering Hamas as Islamic terrorist’s organizations, and Yahya Sinwar as a terrorist.

    Because they will be arrested immediately No one in the Arab countries can celebrate Yahia Sinwar as mastermind of October 7th.

    Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims.
