Israel has taken the gloves off after the indescribable suffering of October 7, 2023, only to further endure the propaganda fallout of material designed to make Israel look as if it were the aggressor. Despite the UK’s (and most of Europe’s) own self-made quagmire with the infiltration of the same jihadist/Islamic supremacist entities, they point the finger at Israel, and now Israel is retaliating diplomatically. “As UK consulate closes, FM Sa’ar vows Israel will ‘take revenge’ on hostile countries – exclusive,” by Alex Winston, Jerusalem Post, October 8, 2026:
“The time of containment in the face of hostile [acts] against the State of Israel is over,” Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said Thursday, warning that Britain’s Labour government risks losing its influence in the region as Jerusalem responds to a series of sanctions and diplomatic measures.
Speaking in an interview with The Jerusalem Post at the newspaper’s Diplomatic Conference in Jerusalem, Sa’ar defended his decision to shut down the British Consulate in Jerusalem on Thursday – the deadline for closure – saying, “Every state that works and acts against the State of Israel must understand that we will take our revenge.”
The decision to close the consulate is the latest in a series of retaliatory measuresfollowing the British government’s imposition of sanctions on Israel on September 8.
In addition to closing the British Consulate in Jerusalem, Israel has removed British representatives from the International Gaza Support Center in Kiryat Gat, terminated British training activities for Palestinian Authority (PA) security forces in the West Bank, and barred 12 British elected officials from entering the country, along with other British citizens accused by Israel of antisemitic or anti-Israel activity.
The closure also means the departure of approximately 20 British diplomats, including the consul general, from the Jerusalem mission.
British consulate in east Jerusalem downgraded to limited diplomatic mission
Sa’ar authorized the British government to operate a task force of only seven diplomats in the mission building with a limited scope of activity.
He told the Post that Israel had deliberately targeted areas in which the United Kingdom previously maintained a diplomatic or security presence, including Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza….
The UK’s descent into crime, jihad threats and economic woes is all tied to its open-door immigration policies. British authorities have allowed in a steady invasion of unvetted Muslims from the chaotic Middle East and Africa. Yet the UK sanctions Israel over false claims regarding Judea and Samaria. The truth is that Judea and Samaria are the cradle of Jewish civilization. Major Biblical events took place there, including the reigns of King David and King Solomon. Also, pivotal historical sites including Hebron and Shiloh (where the Ark of the Covenant was kept) are located in this region.
Jordan popularized and formalized the term “West Bank” following the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. No one who claims to support the rights of Israel should use this term, which is designed to erase the historical Jewish connection to this region.
The Palestinians in Judea and Samaria are now a paramount threat to Israel, but what does the UK care? Propagandists and useful idiots in Western countries continue to call the area “occupied territory.” The area is a jihad terror hub for the Islamic State (ISIS), Hamas and other terrorist entities. And even Palestinian Authority security forces are reportedly “building offensive force for surprise attack.”
At best, the UK is ill-equipped to offer any sound diplomatic or political assistance in Israel, or anywhere in the Middle East. At worse, it is an utter hindrance to Israel’s survival. Britain also recognized a “Palestinian state” with pre-1967 “Auschwitz borders” for Israel.
No logic justifies the involvement of the leftist-ruled UK and EU states in the affairs of Israel. They have become a dead weight and liability as the tiny State of Israel battles the very enemies now threatening the security and economic stability of the UK and the EU.
When Israel says “revenge,” it evidently means removing Western countries from any positions of diplomatic or political influence. So it really isn’t “revenge,” it is prudence.

Good. Israel is doing absolutely the right thing with respect to the UK. We.are not the Jews with trembling knees anymore. The UK is now an irrevelent country. It got much more from Israel than it gave. It is ruled by Islamo-Marxists who seek its destruction. Israel should just annex Judea and Samaria, which are integral parts of the Jewish Homeland. In all events, Jews are the only indigenous People in Israel, including Judea and Samaria. It’s time to take off the gloves.

The problem with such annexation is the number of muslim Palestinians who would become Israeli citizens. If they weren’t given full citizenship then there really be an apartheid state.
Israel is in a catch 22.
Daniel Bielak says
Rarely,
– Other countries give the status of “residency” to people to whom those countries do not wish give citizenship.
– After WWII, the Allies expelled from the Sudetenland millions of ethnic Germans whose families had been living there for centuries. That action was taken for granted as being right and just, because Germany had started a war of aggression which it had subsequently lost.
Israel could likewise do either of those two things regarding the “Palestinian” Arabs who are currently living in Judea and Samaria.
Anti‐Jewish bigots would undoubtedly object, but Israeli learders could cite the two aforementioned examples as precedence.

Daniel
In past essays, Hugh used to invoke the Benes decree while suggesting the expulsion of Muslims from places like Judea and Samaria, or from other countries where they are a malignant force

Apartheid is a heavily underrated policy. During Apartheid, all ethnic groups in South Africa – Blacks, Whites, Coloreds – lived peacefully under the “separate-but-equal” formula. By contrast, today most Whites have fled South Africa, or died out
In Israel too, Arabs can live under a separate-but-equal formula, but those w/ the Pali mindset need to be expelled. In 1983, after the Sabra/Chatilla massacres of Palestinians, Menachem Begin forced the expulsion of the PLO and all Palis to Tunisia. Same thing needs to happen this time after the war – all Palis, and Arabs who are jihadists (Ra’am party of Israel, I’m looking at ya!) – need to be expelled. Those Arabs like the ones of Hebron who have indicated a willingness to have an Abraham Accords type agreement w/ Israel – can continue to live there, w/ full autonomy but no diplomatic identity of their own. Maybe they can be associated w/ the Emirates or Jordan, should they see fit

Susan B, Even though I am British I agree with everything you say here. There are now 25 muslim MP’s in the UK with the majority being in the Labour party. I assume they all have been indoctrinated into Jew hatred, in particular Shabana Mahmood. But two of the most outspoken political critics of Israel happen to be Jewish themselves. They are Zack Polanksi leader of the Green party, and our foreign secretary Ed Miliband. Both shamelessly spread lies about a fictitious genocide being undertaken in Gaza. They are both evil traitors to their own people.

I believe this “consulate” was only for arabs….doees that happen anywhere else?
Jews need not show up……
but that is the antisemite UK in action
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Not sure, but as I note below, consulates are embassies in non-capital cities. Britain may wish that Jerusalem wasn’t the capital of Israel, but that doesn’t make it so. Like I suggested, Israel should force the British embassy to move to Eilat, but far from the Gulf of Aqaba, so that they can do nothing conveniently

Londonistan… so sad. Maybe the Brit leaders can just hand over their country to Hamas to rule… seems like they are basically already there.

Exactly.

You see the big fat muslim afro ape which has just taken over in form PM Starmer’s seat.
If Israel could target things like that, go for it.

I’m an indigenous Brit, but I stand 100% behind Israel on this one. This Labour government disgusts me, every decision they make is the wrong one, they have taken the side of evil over goodness. They are slowly but surely destroying this country and I sadly believe that the damage they’re inflicting may well be irreparable.

This is actually a golden opportunity for Israel to force other countries to recognize the reality of a simple fact: Jerusalem is the capital of Israel
In diplomacy, whenever a country A has a diplomatic representation in country B, the representation in country B’s capital is the embassy. Diplomatic representation in any other city is known as a consulate. Israel is the only country where other countries refuse to have their diplomatic representations in the capital, Jerusalem and have it in Tel Aviv instead. It would be like countries having their US embassies in NYC rather than Washington
While Israel has been trying to entice other countries into moving their embassies to Jerusalem, here is one thing I suggest they do. Ban any country from calling any diplomatic representation in Jerusalem a consulate. If a country doesn’t want its embassy in Jerusalem and insists on putting it elsewhere, put it somewhere far – like Haifa, or Nazareth, or Eilat: make it really inconvenient for foreign diplomats to interact w/ Israeli officials. There is no reason that those countries should be allowed to pretend that Tel Aviv is Israel’s capital. In fact, since real estate is really expensive in Tel Aviv, from what I’ve read, force those diplomatic offices, if they don’t want to put them in Jerusalem, to put them in other far-off cities, and that too not necessarily in one place. The British embassy in particular – put it in Nazareth or somewhere. Hizbullah and Hamas have been eliminated, or else, I would have suggested putting them in their cross hairs, such as Sderot or Golan 😈
