I stated these facts on Jihad Watch yesterday: Islamic State-linked activity has been on the rise in Israel, especially in Judea and Samaria (a.k.a. the West Bank). Last year, two perpetrators of a Judea and Samaria jihad terror attack turned out to be Palestinian Authority cops. In fact, Palestinian Authority security forces are reportedly “building offensive force for surprise attack.” Although intended to be a civilian force, it didn’t stay that way. The force “now numbers approximately 65,000 combat-trained personnel, including individuals with past terror convictions, and possesses weaponry suited for offensive operations, including grenade launchers, machine guns, armored vehicles and armor-piercing munitions.” Kahn further concluded that “every inch of the State of Israel is in danger.” The IDF has also uncovered Hamas plans for a mass jihad attack in Judea and Samaria, and central Israel. A brigadier general also warned that any released jihadi prisoners would wage jihad and build militias in Judea and Samaria.
Judea and Samaria pose an extreme risk to Israelis, thus, Israel must keep Judea and Samaria under the strictest control.
Israeli foreign minister Gideon Saar stated rightly that Israel will not surrender to “Islamists, antisemites, jihadists, woke people and people from the extreme left.” If only politicians in the West were this unapologetically gutsy.
Whether unwittingly or not, the UK has sent an open message to jihadists globally that the UK will be complicit in advancing their cause.

“Israel closes UK consulate and bans 12 British officials amid Andy Burnham sanctions row,” by Jack Walters, GB News, August 9, 2026:
Britain’s consulate in Jerusalem will be closed as a result of Andy Burnham’s decision to fast-track sanctions on West Bank settlements, Israeli foreign minister Gideon Saar has said.
Israel, which is expected to introduce additional counter-measures, also confirmed the UK will no longer be allowed to participate in the US-led coordination mission for Gaza.
Mr Saar added 12 British officials and other nationals would be banned from entering Israel.
Speaking at a press conference in Jerusalem, Mr Saar said: “We do not return to our land after 2000 years in order to lose it under the pressure of Islamists, antisemites, jihadists, woke people and people from the extreme left.
“Not only will you not harm us, you will harm yourselves.”
Mr Saar confirmed the measures shortly after Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband accused Israel of turning a blind eye to the “ethnic cleansing” of Palestinians”.
Mr Miliband insisted a “new approach” was needed because plans for the E1 development in the West Bank would render a two-state solution “unviable” by “cutting through the heart of Palestine”….
Edmund Carey says
Is there really any reason why a two-state solution’s becoming unviable would be a bad thing? Palestinians do not want such a solution – it’s becoming unviable would play right into their hopes and desires. The only two-state solution that would be acceptable to Palestinians is the one Adi Schwartz and Einat Wilf describe in their book “The War of Return” – one Arab state in the West Bank and Gaza and a second Arab state in Israel.
Here is hoping that Israeli determination to survive doesn’t ever fail, and equally that Israel’s success as a nation continues so that Israeli defensive capability remains forever strong. “The defense solution”.

It was bad from the get-go. Israel was at its safest just after the Lebanon war, when the Palis were forced to move to Tunis. It’s too bad that antisemites like James Baker got to force them to take back the Palis, and that too in Judea and Samaria

great move
the UK Consulate in “east” Jerusalem was for arabs only
.The British Consulate General Jerusalem provides consular assistance to British nationals in Jerusalem, West Bank and Gaza.
F’em…..best move the Brits have done in decades
they can join UNRWA in the Cotswolds….lol
John Smith says
We have idiots running our country at the moment, absolute idiots. Presently, Andy Burnham’s approval ratings are currently very strong but so were Keir Starmer’s when he first became PM, but like Starmer it wont last.
Both Burnham and Ed Miliband strongly support a two-state soloution, which anyone with an ounce of common sense knows that it would be doomed to failure. The Palestinians ambition is to annihilate all the Jewish people, and these half-wits in the Labour Party expect them to live next door to each other in peace. The sooner the Israelis take full control of the west bank the safer and better they will all be, even if it means kicking the Palestinians out, which I’m certain is their real goal.
Wellington says
Agreed, John Smith. You do indeed have idiots (and wusses) running the UK and this has been going on since Tony Blair became PM in 1997 (yes, I know perhaps not great before this year but simply awful since this year).
I have always wished the UK well but wishin’ ain’t gettin’ and right now matters look very bleak. Short of civil war I don’t off hand see how Britain can be saved. Yes, this dire.
Hope you and yours are doing well in a most certainly unwell world. And Trump remains the West’s best hope and at times I have come to even wonder about him (e.g., accepting that stupid plane from Qatar). Dark clouds hovering over the West right now. Many.
