Muslim charities evoke suspicion because many Muslim humanitarian organizations and so-called advocacy groups have a history of being linked to terrorism via offshoots and associations. Due to the history of Muslim charities, they should be properly vetted to trace where past funds have gone. It’s a prudent approach, and should be an obvious one.
If Muslim charities existing in Canada or in any Western country intend to do humanitarian work in Syria or abroad, the organization itself should be properly vetted to make sure it has no prior history of links to terrorism.

Once in foreign countries, particularly those saturated with jihadist factions such as Syria, it is extremely difficult to determine where funds are going. The UNRWA should be the gold standard for determining the level of vigilance required on the ground to ascertain that the cause of jihad terror is not being advanced.
Syria is ruled by a terrorist in a suit who has been mercilessly persecuting minorities from almost the day he rose to power, with help from Turkey’s Islamic supremacist strongman president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Syria remains a hot bed of terrorism. Such conditions offer the perfect soil for jihad proliferation. Thus extreme diligence is needed when vetting any questionable Muslim charity’s work in that country.
National security is far more important than hurting the feelings of Muslims. Left-leaning mainstream media refuse to understand its importance.
To focus on Muslim charities, takes important history into consideration. Indeed, anti-terrorism measures hamper humanitarian efforts, because many Muslim charitable organizations conduct two purposes; one is humanitarian, and the other is to fund jihad groups such as Hamas. The burden of proof must be on Muslim charities to prove they are no threat to Western societies. In light of the facts, it’s a difficult task for them indeed. It is much easier to get leftist water-carriers in the media to do their bidding via the employment of the victimology subterfuge.

OTTAWA — Strict measures to prevent terrorism financing are prompting Muslim charities in Canada to withdraw humanitarian assistance from countries in need, such as Syria and Yemen, because they fear losing access to banking services if they operate there, a new study warns.
The study by University of Toronto law and history professor Anver Emon makes a dozen recommendations, aimed at various federal agencies, to help charities and other non-profit organizations provide assistance abroad without fear of repercussions.
The treatment of Muslim charities has come under scrutiny in recent years. Critics claim they have been unfairly singled out in the fight against terrorist financing.
A National Security and Intelligence Review Agency report released last October found “a lack of rigour” in the way the Canada Revenue Agency selects charities for audits over terrorism concerns. The report said the process introduces risks of bias and discrimination.
Emon, who co-authored an influential 2021 report on audits of Muslim charities, takes a broader look at Canada’s anti-terrorism financing measures and sanctions regime in the latest study.
The government study acknowledges these mechanisms exist to protect the integrity of the financial system, prevent its misuse by criminals or terrorist organizations and uphold Canada’s international obligations as a member of the international Financial Action Task Force, which sets global standards.
It says the measures and tools also lead to unintended consequences.
Muslim charities are especially vulnerable because they are committed to providing humanitarian aid to hard-hit regions that Canada also deems high-risk for terrorist financing, the study says….

I agree with other commenters here. Very clearly, Islam is not charitable. The very idea is absurd. Muslims perform “charitable” work because they think it helps them have a happy afterlife. Not because they feel better for helping others. Not because they recognise that God loves the people they try to help. Anything calling itself a muslim charity is highly suspect. Much humanitarian work nowadays is not really helping, and may be rewarding wrongdoing.

Why would you see HALAL certification in every so called Indian / Pakistani / Bangladesh /Turkeys restaurants, Kabab places, Pizza places. Chicken places now have all Halal certifications and halal certified projects stickers??? etc.

In reality it is large revenue generation for Muslims, it generates in the region of 1.5 to 2 billion pounds in UK? (Now think worldwide wow) Money is generated from 90% non-Muslims, who eat halal. Halal certification is tax free due to been Religious and charity They make sure that from buying the meat to the final use, only Muslims people are employed, a perfect supply chain. Now they also want buy farming land so that total farm and animals are within Islam control and to insure it is halal. Yet 90% who eat is non-Muslims. Thus, generating the revenue for Islam, Halal certification is tax free due to been Religious and charity. Money is only used to promote Islam, Such as Islamic studies, Islamic conversations, building of the Islamic Mosque, spreading of Islam, Promoting Muslims only businesses (Look up Halal projects) etc. Not for any other non-Muslim charity? Yet 90% non-Muslims would eat Halal. In UK native people them self are to blame when eating halal and thus promoting Islam. Have you noticed that most Mosque have multiple rooms for study? Why so many, students come from other Islamic country, they are given rooms to steady Islam? All due to Halal generated money. Also some money may come from other Islamic charity?
