Texas Republicans are turning years of warnings about political Islam into a state policy campaign focused on foreign money, land, financial practices, public institutions, private tribunals, and terrorism laws.
The Republican Party of Texas made “Don’t Sharia Our Texas” one of its official 2026-2028 legislative priorities on June 13. The party is calling for new investigations, expanded attorney general authority and laws aimed at organizations and practices it says could establish a competing political and legal system inside Texas.
Republican lawmakers carried that effort into the True Texas Project’s August 1 conference in Fort Worth. The official program included sessions titled “Strategy For Stopping Islam: Training on Finance & Regulatory Gaps” and “Islamization and TX Lege.” State Rep. Andy Hopper (R-District 64), state Rep. Brent Money (R-District 2) and state Sen. Bob Hall (R-District 2) appeared on panels addressing the issue.
Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) has also directed the Senate State Affairs Committee to study “Preventing Sharia Law in Texas.” His interim charge tells senators to examine the proposed EPIC City development and associated entities, review large real estate acquisitions and recommend protections against housing discrimination and “unscrupulous developers.”
Together, the party priority, conference and Senate investigation show Republicans moving from general warnings to a specific question: Which parts of the political-Islamist threat can Texas confront under existing law, and what authority does the state still need?…

The plan presented by Republican representatives in Texas against Muslims includes banning the hijab in public schools, banning the sale of halal food, banning congregational prayer, and incorporating materials into students’ curricula that portray Islam and Sharia as violent and dominating forces in societies.

The Republican policy shouldn’t only be proclaiming “Don’t Sharia our Texas.” It needs to be “Don’t Sharia our America,” which is actually happening via the Sharia-Free America Caucus, which needs even more momentum.

Honestly,I have never read All of the Quran so my question may seem idiotic but what does the Quran say about/have to do with the Torah and/or the Gospel? It Can’t be the same Torah of the Old Testament can it and of Course not the Gospel Jesus taught so that line confuses me. I realize Muhammad made up his own idea about things so again,I am just confused about the mention of the Torah and Gospel.

I have never read any of it…except a word here and there on this site. But, a couple of muzzlies with whom I spoke with some years ago, told me that it includes stuff about people in the Bible…like Noah, Moses , Jesus and others.
Perhaps the mention of the Torah and Gospels are attempts to give legitimacy to the book of demon filth. Kind of like some fool giving reference to Webster as proof that he has used words correctly when the evidence is, he has not.
But again, I have never read it and don’t intend to do so. Another poster might be able to actually answer your question.

It’s very good , wise, and commendable that some Republicans of the State of Texas are taking the right action to halt in insidious spread of the stealth jihad with its Sharia . Therefore, that ‘Don’t Sharia Our Texas, law. proposal. If those Muslim who live in Texas really want to live under Sharia then they should move to Saudi Arabian pushing their Islamic laws on the people of Texas.
Americans should be aware of those stealth jihad- minded Muslims who are living the US who attempt to have Sharia law enacted in this country.
Attempting to fuse Us Constitution and Sharia is like trying to mix water and oil together.
