Abdul El-Sayed has embraced infamous antisemite Hasan Piker, a popular social media influencer, to increase his younger voter base, especially with Muslims, among whom he’s most popular. Piker has said: “If Jews in America keep putting this idea out there that they are singularly invested in Israel, eventually someone is going to come around and take action, not against the state of Israel mind you, but against American Jews.” Piker has also called Orthodox Jews “inbred,” has likened Zionism to Nazism and supports Hamas. A commentary in Detroit News noted that “It’s right to judge Abdul El-Sayed by the company he keeps.”
Now El-Sayed is trying to distance himself from Piker because of the fallout.
Abdul El-Sayed has also called the U.S. political system a “disease,” and slammed “special interests like AIPAC.” According to a Fox News report, El-Sayed’s campaign collected over $115,000 “from individuals who work for or have held leadership roles with the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR),” an organization with Hamas links.

“Gottheimer: ‘No Way’ I’m Backing El-Sayed Now, He’s ‘Made It Very Clear’ What He Thinks About Jews,” by Ian Hanchett, Breitbart, August 26, 2026:
On Tuesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Inside Politics,” Rep. Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ) declared that “there’s no way I’m ever coming out for El-Sayed right now.” And “this is a guy who has made it very clear his views toward — and has refused to back off his views toward Jewish Americans. And I hope he comes out and clarifies where he is” and also denounces Hasan Piker.
Gottheimer stated, “I’ll just make it clear, there’s no way I’m ever coming out for El-Sayed right now. And like, until — this is a guy who has made it very clear his views toward — and has refused to back off his views toward Jewish Americans. And I hope he comes out and clarifies where he is.”…

One Democrat is a drop in the bucket, especially when Schumer wholeheartedly still supports El-Sayed

That is a weak statement by congressman Gottheimer. He should say ‘never ever’ will that guy get my support.
Men who talk like Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed and associate with those like Hasan Piker cannot be trusted to disavow their past comments and associations of such magnitude.

Rather wishy-washy comment. He’s **never **coming out….*right now*
He says this “guy has made it very clear.” But then he says he ‘hopes’ ‘he comes out and clarifies where he is.’
This democrat from NJ seems rather confused about some things…like “clarity.” and “never.”
