The bill that the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has co-sponsored to recognize the Islamic holidays Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha is advancing to the California Senate, and then for final approval from Governor Gavin Newsom, who will happily approve it. CAIR has a close relationship with Gavin Newsom and the State of California. According to the New York Post:
CAIR-CA, the organization’s largest statewide affiliate, is flush with taxpayer cash. In the last five years, the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) has sent at least $41 million in combined state and federal grants to the group, according to the Intelligent Advocacy Network (IAN), a California-based nonprofit.
Much of that money, it turns out, comes from the federal government. And last year, it was confirmed that the U.S. Department of Justice Executive Office for Immigration Review was investigating whether CAIR-CA should remain eligible for taxpayer funds.
This report… reveals good reason for the DOJ to be digging into CAIR-CA.
This Islamic holidays’ special recognition in the solidly Democrat state of California once again advances the Sharia. It is yet another case showing why the Sharia-Free Congressional Caucus warrants further support. In June, CAIR lashed out in sheer panic against the Sharia-Free America Congressional Caucus.

Legislation that would recognize two Muslim holidays as official California holidays is nearing the final steps of passage before being sent out for Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signature.
Assembly Bill 2017 would designate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as state holidays, meaning state workers could use holiday credits to take off work on those days.
“California is home to one of the largest and most vibrant Muslim communities in the country,” said bill author Assemblymember Matt Haney (D).
“AB 2017 is about making sure Muslim Californians are seen, valued, and treated with the same dignity as every other community in our state.”
Under the bill, community colleges and public schools could also to choose to recognize those days and teach about them.
The legislation already passed the state Assembly 64-1 in late May and is now waiting for a full state Senate vote.
It has until the end of legislative session, expected to be this coming Monday, to head over to the governor’s desk….
