As for Biblical prophecies, so many are quite vague or they state events will occur that regularly occur (e.g., earthquakes and other geological or meteorological phenomena), others are just plain wrong (e.g., Daniel 11 asserting that Antiochus IV, a Selucid monarch, would conquer Egypt, which he never did), many are manipulated to be fulfilled (e.g., Jesus being born in Bethlehem) and so on. I know a lot of religious people put a lot of stock in Biblical prophecies but I agree with David Hume that there is a non-miraculous, non-religious, explanation for all of them.

He wants a change of regime as much as everyone else, but that would involve boots on the ground and Americans, coming home in body bags, so this is where he draws the line. Previously, I was under the impression that the well was in Qom (based on the acts of former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad), but from Wiki, it seems to turn out that that well was in Samarra, north of Baghdad.
