While Democrat Jon Rosenthal is busy savaging Christians, which he’ll never personally risk doing to Muslims, he’s embracing the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has designated a foreign terror organization.
The confused Democrat has such a habit of mocking Christians that he also did it on a podcast that advocates for transgender people. As any reasoned person would ask: How well does Rosenthal think trans individuals fare in Sharia-adherent countries?
Also, while he mocks a choice of abstinence among Christians, he wouldn’t dare address the issue of Muslim women being executed who were sexually assaulted in the Islamic Republic of Iran, or of honor killings for what is regarded as “illicit sex” under the Sharia. Nor will Rosenthal condemn the forced covering of women in many Islamic countries, who follow Qur’anic verses such as these:
“And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only what is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment except to their own husbands or fathers or husbands’ fathers, or their sons or their husbands’ sons, or their brothers or their brothers’ sons or sisters’ sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack desire, or children who know nothing of women’s nakedness. And do not let them stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn to Allah together, O believers, so that you may succeed.” (Quran 24:31)
If a woman does not cover, she is fair game to be assaulted:
“O prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their veils close around them. That will be better, so that they may be recognized and not molested. Allah is always forgiving, merciful.” (Quran 33:59)
Jon Rosenthal would prefer to not confront Islamic abuses or Sharia incursion in America, and it’s no surprise since Rosenthal “represents a district outside of Houston with a large Muslim population and zero synagogues.” He continues to pick on Christians as a state representative, because Christians are easy targets for him.
Rosenthal also opposes the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s definition of antisemitism, since he believes it conflates “legitimate criticism of the Israeli government’s policies with antisemitism.”And in 2023, CAIR-Houston applauded the filing of “Jon Rosenthal’s House Bill 1089, 1090, 1091, and 1092, three separate and one omnibus bill to reverse Texas’ current Anti-BDS legislation.” The issue was publicized in a CAIR press release HERE.
“Dem Nominee Mocked Christians, Praised CAIR,” by Mark McCaig, The Texas Voice, April 15, 2026:
-
State Representative Jon Rosenthal, the Democrat nominee for Railroad Commissioner, has attacked Christian Conservatives as the “Christian Taliban” and mocked Christian doctrine, including communion and the virgin birth
-
Despite mocking Christians, Rosenthal has embraced the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization by Governor Abbott
-
Rosenthal has also been supported by far-left organizations such as Our Revolution
A state lawmaker who is the Democratic Party’s nominee for Railroad Commissioner has a long history of mocking Christians, while also forging a close relationship with a radical Muslim organization that has been designated as a foreign terrorist organization.
State Representative Jon Rosenthal, who has represented a portion of Harris County in the Texas House of Representatives since 2019, was unopposed in the Democratic Primary for Railroad Commissioner.
As a candidate for the Texas House in 2018, Rosenthal appeared on a podcast called “The Trans Advocate”, where he made several comments mocking Christians.
In a discussion about his religious beliefs, Rosenthal – who described himself as a “non-religious agonistic” and a “non-practicing agnostic” – called Christian conservatives, “the Christian Taliban.”
Rosenthal then mocked the Christian sacrament of communion.
“I don’t think I should be, let’s say, required to take communion walking into the Texas Legislature. And it’s not that I have anything against eating crackers, but I think those crackers are generally not very tasty,” quipped Rosenthal.
Later in the interview, Rosenthal also mocked the virgin birth. In discussing abstinence-only sex education policies, Rosenthal remarked, “These same religious people will tell you there’s an exception to that rule, right? You can be abstinent and still get pregnant.”…

A useful idiot for the cause of CAIR who members would gladly put him first in line for death if sharia law what CAIR wants to make the law of the land becomes law. Many democrats with their blind faith to the cause of holding of onto power a little longer form a suicide pack with jihadist. The lesson of what happen to members of the Iran communist party members when they sided with the “religious Moslems of Iran ” in 1978 is lost on the American democratic party. What makes this JIN think that the members of CAIR would let him keep drawing breath if they get the total power they want ?Does he think only Christians be on the jihadist menu? Or only religious Jews or Christians ?Does he not see he fits the antisemitic stereo type of the JIN only who back the communist in Russia in 1900s? These so called “progressive democrats” look more and more like the wooden headed dreamer communist of 1900 Russia ,thinking they can sway the Jihadist Moslems from their beliefs with free things and their hate for organized religion does not work well with jihadist. Moslems do not share power and eat dreamers for breakfast when they are done with being useful to them .

Muslims only tell people the non violent parts of the Koran & that they only want to practice their faith in peace, what a crock of crap.
Useful idiots fall for it and they are a problem because after hearing it from Muslim Imam’s they turn a deaf ear to the real truth.

Rosenthal – “…called Christian conservatives, ‘the Christian Taliban’…”
If what Rosenthal said was true, he would not have the courage to say it. In some hidden way, this “Representative” is getting some perks for mocking Christians.

First of all rosenthal is a traitor to his namesake. He is anything but a valley of roses to say the least. Secondly, he has no idea being deluded that in fact muhammadists at their core want to manipulate, subjugate, intimidate and dominate anyone who is not as they are. He is like a pretzel of no beginning and no ending.
Rick Gordon says
Rosenthal is an embarrassment. Yes, he certainly is entitled to his opinions, but the ignorant and hateful messages of his campaign are damaging to the nation’s civic good. As an ex-Texan I can only hope that leaders in Harris County and elsewhere in the state will reject his candidacy and messaging.

Just because he’s here, doesn’t make him a Texan.

The jerk sounds more like a rabid atheist than an agnostic. He feels free to mock Christians because he knows they aren’t into the slicing and dicing …which the taliban do for fun….so he believes his neck is safe.
Because he is embracing cair, he should be arrested for his support of a terror org. Or run out of town on a ‘rail’ after a tarring and feathering.

Rosenthal is a German and Jewish surname. Back in the day he would have been waiting at the train station suitcase in hand. To paraphrase Star Treks Dr McCoy, he’s an idiot, Jim.
tgusa says
Americas founding fathers who devised and created the USA were a super majority of Christians. Some were indeed deeply committed to their faith while others were not quite as fervent. The USA was founded by a group of people who were seeking religious freedom. There is no freedom in islam which makes it antithetical to Americas founding. Rosenthal should pick up and move somewhere else. There are 194 other countries for him to choose from.
somehistory says
There are also some uninhabited atolls from which he could choose.

It’s not like we need him here. He wouldn’t be missed. No one would even notice his absence. They keep bitching about America but they never leave. Like an unwelcome smell that you just cant get away from.

Texas: Dem state rep attacks Christian conservatives as ‘Christian Taliban,’ embraces Hamas-linked CAIR

So the nonexistant “Christian Taliban” is bad, but the *actual* Taliban is not?

How come this individual isn’t running for Texas legislature? Didn’t the article say that he’d been in the legislature? Are the Dems running him for railroad commissioner because he wouldn’t win for re-election to the Texas legislature?
Has anyone ever heard of any place that requires taking communion at the door to enter? This fellow sounds so dumb that I wonder if he ran for railroad commissioner he’d try to ride the train by sitting on top.
