Texas governor Abbott designates Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas-linked CAIR ‘foreign terrorist organizations’

This is good to see and long overdue, but we shall soon see if it actually has any teeth. We’ve been sounding the alarm about the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), while it has only grown in wealth, power, and influence. Will it now be able to use that wealth, power, and influence to render this designation utterly devoid of meaning? Don’t be surprised if it does.

Texas governor Greg Abbott declared the Council on American-Islamic Relations (Cair) and the Muslim Brotherhood to be “foreign terrorist organizations” on Tuesday, prohibiting them from acquiring property in the state and authorizing legal action to shut down affiliated entities.

The move marks a massive escalation in Abbott’s confrontation with Muslim organizations and communities in Texas, though states have no authority to designate foreign terrorist organizations on behalf of the US.

“The actions taken by the Muslim Brotherhood and Cair to support terrorism across the globe and subvert our laws through violence, intimidation and harassment are unacceptable,” Abbott said in a statement. “These radical extremists are not welcome in our state and are now prohibited from acquiring any real property interest in Texas.”

Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, only the US secretary of state can officially designate foreign terrorist organizations, following consultation with the attorney general and treasury secretary. The process requires congressional notification and publication in the Federal Register.

The impact of the action by Abbott, who this month announced that he is intending to run again for the governor’s seat next November, is limited to Texas state law enforcement and authorizes the state attorney general to sue organizations deemed affiliated with Cair or the Muslim Brotherhood, though Abbott’s office has not specified how it will determine affiliation or what enforcement actions it plans to take.

The designation carries no federal immigration consequences, asset freezing powers or criminal penalties under federal material support statutes that accompany legitimate federal terrorist designations….

    I can hear the muzzie screams from here….the phobia that never was.

    And….the DA’s can prosecute the individual members in court. Like the DA in Tarrant County did with members of the AB a few years ago.

    We will have to see what becomes of that huge monstrosity in Houston that was due to open this week. If the local cair members have a part, it could prove interesting.

  2. Yes, how much political/financial power in America do two worldwide Islamic terrorist organizations actually have?

    Will the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR claim Islamophobia, accuse Abbott/TX of out right discrimination and slander them with negative video’s of propaganda?

    Someone in America, who holds political power must, bring Islam/terrorism/Islamic funding/organizations/immigration jihad in front of American eyes and ears, loud enough, for everyone to see and hear.

    • It’s been a long time coming, too long.

      Should have been an easy call beginning in 2001. The world would have followed suit. No jihadist literature in Mosques, closing the ones that did etc…

      Instead, we have emboldened evil. But many times worse, we allowed false narratives to take hold. So Abbot’s actions, most importantly, will bring the evil side of Islam into the public mind. Where it should be. We have 24 years of catch up to do on describing Islam accurately. CAIR and the MB show the political side of Islam is a potent enemy. All of CAIR’s efforts to impose Sharia from education, to business, to policing now must be rolled back.

      Defang Islam by removing Sharia from the land.

      • I thought Epic Center has been built already that Texas gave the Muslims millions so does his words really mean anything. I heard no complaint from Ted Cruz who I thought would stop it. I read Ted will run for president and I will not vote for him after he did a trick like that. Don’t know what is happening in Texas but isn’t it a Bush state. It seems like Abbott also has been slow about what is happening.

  4. Finally! Congratulations to Texas Governor and Texas. It’s a beginning hopefully for the demise of CAIR, the Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas’s US based entity. Obama used CAIR for names of people he could hire in his administration and CAIR gave Mamdani at least $100,000 for his campaign.

    • According to the quote, cair and mb members will not be allowed to buy or own Texas land. If any of those trying to build near Plano, or those who have a part in Houston are members of either, they should be easily shut down.

  14. With the Council on American Islamic Relations being connected , in any way ,shape of form , to that murderous jihad, Hamas is alone more than enough evidence that CAIR should be appropriately and rightly designated as a terrorist organization.

  17. It looks more symbolic than substantive. CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood may not be able to acquire property in Texas but how do you stop an individual Muslim from buying it? Anti-discrimination laws would be invoked. A greater worry is the incoming NYC mayor, Mamdani, saying that NYC is governed by international law.

    • Members of those groups can be prosecuted for being members of a terror organization. It’s more difficult to purchase land from inside prison walls.

      • What stops these groups from using straw buyers? Don’t forget all the ‘peaceful’ Muslims in the US today. Banning members of these groups from openly purchasing property doesn’t mean they can’t use go-betweens to hide their interest.

        • There are laws against that. If Abbot and his crew are serious, this can’t be as easy as the muzzies….those *moderate* scum…plan on.

          Florida worked on stopping the chinese from buying land near Cape Canaveral. it can be done.

Americans should be aware of those stealth jihad- minded Muslims who are living in the USA, as the members of CAIR and the Muslim Brotherhood, who attempt to have Sharia law enacted in this country. Those facts that this is the United States, and has something that is far better than Sharia law. It’s the US Constitution. This is America, not Saudi Arabia or Iran.

    As the former US President, Theodore Roosevelt, had well-spoken when he declared in a speech “There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is only room here for only hundred percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”

  19. Let’s be clear: There are no “moderate” or “good” Mooslimes. There are Mooslimes that are active in jihad and those that are lying in wait. Their religion does not condone moderates.
