Trump says Iran’s new leaders have asked to talk, and he has agreed

It is unlikely in the extreme that the new leaders of the Islamic Republic have given up or will give up the regime’s longterm goals, or its deeply ingrained hostility toward the U.S. and Israel. Talking to them now will just buy time for the regime and improve its chances of surviving this crisis.

President Donald Trump said Sunday that Iran’s newly installed leadership wants to resume negotiations, one day after a massive U.S.-Israeli military operation killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

“They want to talk, and I have agreed to talk, so I will be talking to them,” Trump told The Atlantic in a phone call from Mar-a-Lago. “They should have done it sooner. They should have given what was very practical and easy to do sooner. They waited too long.”

Trump faulted Tehran for stalling weeks of diplomatic efforts and acknowledged that several Iranian officials who participated in those discussions died in the strikes. “Most of those people are gone,” he told the magazine. “They played too cute.” He declined to specify when negotiations would begin.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said a three-member council had temporarily taken over the supreme leader’s responsibilities, Reuters reported. The body consists of Pezeshkian, the judiciary chief, and a Guardians Council representative.

A senior White House official separately told The Associated Press that Iran’s “new potential leadership” had signaled a willingness to engage with Washington. The official noted, however, that the military campaign “continues unabated.”…

  2. Imbecile Trump does not understand the Muslim enemy who is trying to survive by deceit. By attacking Iran, Trump is already granting the Muslims their heavenly Paradise with Allah of killing and being killed in jihad. Allah in Qur’an 9:111 says, “Surely Allah has purchased from the believers[Muslims] their souls and their money so that they may have the garden[Heavenly Paradise]. They engage in war for the sake of Allah[ie. Allah’s Cause to make Islam Supreme], so they kill and are killed…”. Failing to know your enemy leads to your death and destruction.

    Allah’s Islam, a supremacist Antichrist Ideology, is continuously using Western Freedoms and Laws against Non-Muslims to conquer Non-Muslims under Islamic Rule. Non-Muslims should legally designate Islam as a Muslim Terrorist Organization(MTO) where Mosques, Muslim Schools, Islamic Centers, Sharia Courts, and Muslim Organizations are banned due to their incitement for segregation and discrimination to fight back against ISLAMIZATION, Muslim subjugation, and tyrannical violence(Qur’an 4:65, 89; 9:5,29,111; 7:179; 8:22; 45:18; 47:4; 60:4; 98:6-7, etc.). ISLAM IS A WAY OF LIFE, THE DAILY PRACTICE OF ISLAMIC LAW. Islam must be banned as illegal because Islam and its Muslims, enemies of Non-Muslims, are a Terrorist Organization.

    Muslims are subversive terrorists for Allah with their MONEY and their LIVES while undermining a society from within using the man-made book of lies and deceit, the Qur’an. Allah in Qur’an 49:15 says, “Surely the believers[Muslims] are only those who believed in Allah and his messenger. They do not doubt, and they performed jihad with their MONEY and their LIVES for the sake of Allah. Those are the truthful.” Allah in Qur’an 4:101 says, “…Surely the infidels(Non-Muslims) were your clear enemies.”

    MUSLIM BELIEVERS are a greater TERROR than Allah to make Islam supreme. Allah in Qur’an 59:13 says, “You[Muslims] are a greater terror in their chests than Allah. This is because they[Jews & Christians] are people who do not understand.” Islam must be banned as illegal, and we have the legal right to defend ourselves from Muslim violence. Also, Allah describes Muslim women in Jenna, Allah’s Paradise, as whores of Allah in Qur’an 56:37.

      I doubt that President Trump has any illusions about Iran’s stalling tactics, either. He’s been dealing with high stakes players most his adult life and knows BS and diversion from serious negotiations. As he already expressed, he had enough of the stalling and ordered the strikes.

      He has also seen the Taliban lie about reform, stupid people in DC accept it, only to have Afghanistan pulled back into Taliban oppression, worse than before.

      What other US President in the last two decades was begged for negotiations by an enemy under continuous attacks that they know won’t pause for them? Trump is giving them an opportunity to peacefully give up government power to spare the Iranian people and themselves unnecessary casualties. If they refuse or want to continue holding government power then they can expect to die.

      We should expect a “rinse and repeat” cycle of BS demands, continuing war gains, and more begging to hold power, until the Regime retires from government or dies. If it requires whittling down the Mullahs until there is no council to select a Supreme Leader and the hunting of every muderous IRGC member, so be it.

      The message is clear: Government will be administered by people, not the self-appointed parasites of Allah.

  6. What exactly does he mean by “new leaders”? Is he talking about the new 3-man council, of which Pezeshkian and Ejei are already members of the government? Or is he talking about Reza Pahlavi, who’s already on the same page as Israel on Jerusalem’s demands about Iranian military programs?

    Which ones? As it is, who knows how much time Pezeshkian, Ejei or Arafi have left? It’s like Reagan talking to Andropov and Chernenko in the 80s

  7. I hope Trump does talk… but he should know that the same evil Islamists will be no different. Quran commands them to lie and deceive. The end game has to be a totally new regime in charge. Hopefully the Prince can step in and lead a transition to a whole new government where people have rights and separation from Islam.

After that brutal cruel savagely murderously evil Islamic regime is completely overthrown. as it should be, and a legitimate government is established, which respects basic human rights and natural freedoms, it’s very appropriate that a type of Tehran trials, similar to the Nuremberg trials after World War II. Those cruel oppressive death -inflicting despots along with their thugs called the Revolutionary Guards and the “morality police” all need to stand in judgement in such a trial, then punished, and punished hard.

    Then a legitimate, genuine government needs to be established in Iran with the ensure and respects that basic human rights of its citizens.

    • I noted in other threads on this site how Iran has been singularly stupid in its dealings w/ the US. Other countries, like Pakistan in the 00s w/ Bush, and now Qatar and Turkey w/ Trump, have tried playing both sides to hoodwink him – and so far, have succeeded. Had Iran put a lid on its “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” demonstrations, and had dealt w/ Trump exactly the way Turkey has, they’d still be standing strong. In fact, that is why I had consistently faulted not just Trump but Israel as well for ignoring the threats from Qatar and Turkey while prioritizing Iran. Although to be fair to Jerusalem, Israel has raised those concerns, but they have been drowned out by their concerns about Iran.

      Hopefully, once this regime has fallen, Israel can then turn its attention to other rogue players, like Turkey, as well as financial backers of the muslim brotherhood like Qatar and Kuwait

      • Worries me that Trump was willing to paint himself into a corner with the “deal” demand language from Iran.

        Turns out, Iran defiantly held their middle finger up to those amateurs Witkoff and Kushner, and now Iran is paying the price. Made the decision easy for Trump. But, what if Iran had instead simply taquiyyaed Witkoff & Kushner by saying, “Okay, we will never have a nuclear weapon and never enrich Uranium.”

        Then where would we be? Then the onus would be on Trump to keep his word not to attack. Perhaps he would’ve leaned on Bibi not to attack either. Certainly, the pressure here at home from the Dim caucus would’ve been much stronger in condemning Trump had he attacked Iran after Iran had accepted Trump’s terms.

        Trump’s declared Middle East doctrine is “Commerce, not chaos.”

        Bush thought the answer was “Democracy,” to get the Ummah to abandon their Islamic Doctrine and duties to Allah.

        Trump believes if we can make Muslims wealthy, that will make them abandon their Islamic imperatives to convert, enslave, or exterminate us.

        But, wealthy Muslims are far more dangerous than impoverished Muslims. Indigent Muslims are busy prioritizing food and shelter. While the Muslims sitting on stacks of cash have the time and resources to scheme and reach for higher levels of esteem, self-actualization, and Allah’s favor by exporting and spreading Islam for Allah.

        It was the Saudis who had the time and money to plan and execute 9/11, not the Sudanese peasants. The Saudis, Qataris, and the other Muslim oil titans are the ones building mosques and university influence across the globe.

        While I hope Trump is successful in whatever national strategy he pursues for us, I’m concerned that making poor Muslims wealthy with “Commerce, not chaos,” is a losing strategy that will backfire on us.

        The doctrine of the Middle East should neither be “democracy” nor “commerce”, but rather, “attenuating or eliminating islam”, whichever is possible in a given country. In countries like Saudi Arabia or Emirates, the former may be what’s possible, whereas in Iran, the latter looks much more possible

  11. President Trump did keep his promise to help the people of Iran in their righteous and just quest to establish a legitimate government installed in place of the horrific tyranny they had suffered under.

    • I found it interesting that the RAF – I had no idea it still existed, thought it had gone the way of the Assizes – could repel an Iranian attack on a British base in Cyprus, but can’t do anything about all the boats in the English Channel that wash up on England’s shores. Maybe a new British leader, be it Rupert Lowe or anybody else, could project Britain’s military power, or whatever is left of it, within Britain and do a mass expulsion of foreigners – not just muslims but also other Third World miscreants, before they look at projecting it abroad

  17. If I were President Trump, I’d require the permanent disbandment and eradication of Islam in Iran as a prerequisite to halting any offensive action.

    President Trump should tell the IRGC to destroy every mosque in Qom, otherwise they’ll be destroyed for you.

    Otherwise this will all need a do-over in a few years from now.
