Hostile state actors are gathering intelligence about Britain. “‘Rogue drone’ sightings near UK military bases doubled in 2025, troops to get shooting down powers,” WION, February 2, 2026:
The number of sightings of rogue drones near military bases in the UK has doubled in the last year, from 126 incidents reported in 2024 to 266 events in 2025, a rise of over 100 per cent, following which the government is planning to give military personnel new powers to shoot down unidentified drones near British bases. Government sources have said that they cannot rule out the role of ‘hostile state actors’ in some of the drone incidents. UK Defence Secretary John Healey said, “The doubling of rogue drones near military sites in the UK in the last year underlines the increasing and changing nature of the threats we face.”
UK military personnel do not have power to shoot down drones
As of now, military personnel do not have the legal power to shoot down drones, and they have to rely on the police, but the government is now going to change that by introducing a legislation, which will give powers to the military to take action against drones operating underwater…
It isn’t just Britain that has seen a significant uptick in drone incursions near sensitive sites. In America, drone incursions in restricted airspace also surged in 2025. In March, a near-catastrophe was avoided as a “commercial airliner descended toward a major U.S. airport.” The flight crew “received a tense alert from air traffic control.” A “relatively large, silver drone burst into view—streaking just 20 feet past the aircraft’s left wing at 3,300 feet. The pilots had no time to react….The drone was about 4 to 5 feet in diameter…The incident happened too quickly to take any evasive maneuvers.” Prior to 2025, an entire fleet of unidentified drones swarmed Langley Air Force base for 17 consecutive nights in December 2023.
Although Russian drones are suspected in just about every report about drone incursions into Western countries, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies notes Iran’s support in the building of Russian drones, which increasingly threatens NATO (not to mention the fact that Iran sold Russia nearly $3 billion of missiles alone).
Iran began transferring drones directly to Russia in 2022 to support Putin’s war in Ukraine and then reportedly signed a $1.75 billion deal in 2023 to enable Russia to produce them domestically. The most widely used of these drones is the Geran-2 (Shahed-136) long-range one-way attack drone. Russia now reportedly produces around 2,000 per month, with plans to expand to 5,000 per month.
Iran has been developing drones since the 1980s, and has become a world leader in their production. In February 2024, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, told the General Assembly that Russia was “deepening its ties with global forces of destabilization, chiefly Iran.”
A vast number of drone sightings have also been reported near military sites in Denmark and Germany (including at the US base in Ramstein) throughout 2025.
It should be taken for granted that any country in the West should have the right and powers to strike down unidentified drones.
The UK saw, in 2025 alone, “266 reported uncrewed aerial vehicle incidents near defence sites.” And in June, “pro-Palestinian activists broke into a Royal Air Force base, damaging and spraying red paint over two planes used for refuelling and transport.”
Yet the stunning pattern continues: ill-equipped Western leaders, particularly on the left, allow their people to be sitting ducks for the red-green alliance, which perpetually studies Western weaknesses, and exploits them.

I believe these are alien drones. Otherwise, they’d have had to cross a number of countries – regardless of whether they came from Russia or Iran – before appearing in British air space. And that none of those countries bothered taking any action against them

Russia, China and Iran. These are tests. You always test the enemies defenses and reactions before you do an actual attack. This is called reconnaissance. At same time you condition the enemy into becoming complacent. It becomes “normal” to see them. And any reaction time when the real attack begins is slowed down because they are used to seeing them.
Add in the narco terrorist along the US southern border… Which will give enemies like China the opportunity to attack Taiwan and Iran to attack Israel.
America is stretched thin already and especially after the left here has gutted and shrank the military while importing tens of millions of foreign soldiers disguised as immigrants and refugees
