It’s about time this announcement arrived about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He should have been among the first to be invited. Gaza, after all, is in Israel’s backyard, and is only a problem for the world because of the endless jihad it wages against the Jewish state.
Trump’s board has become far larger than initially expected. ABC News reported:
The Board of Peace led by U.S. President Donald Trump was originally envisioned as a small group of world leaders overseeing the Gaza ceasefire plan. The Trump administration’s ambitions have ballooned into a more sprawling concept, with Trump extending invitations to dozens of nations and hinting it will soon broker global conflicts, like a pseudo-U.N. Security Council.
Rather than reference the new board as a “pseudo-UN Security Council,” a “replacement” may be a more accurate term. The US is already carrying 22% of the UN budget, while that organization has drifted from its original mandate governed by its own Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UNDHR), which was influenced by Judeo-Christian principles.
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation nations adhere instead to the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights that they adopted since 1990. The Cairo Declaration is based on the Sharia, which is completely at odds with the UNDHR. Yet all of these 56 nations belong to the UN (“Palestine” still isn’t a nation) and have virtually bought out the UN, while communist China is one of five permanent countries on the Security Council, with veto power. The UN has become a joke, and it’s high time that the US pull out and establish its own body. It still remains a mystery, however, how this new body will be run, and whether it will sustain Trump’s vision or even continue to exist once he is out of office.
“PM Netanyahu accepts Trump’s invitation to join Board of Peace, to become founding member,” by Sam Halpern, Jerusalem Post, January 21, 2026:
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accepted US President Donald Trump’s invitation to join the Board of Peace and is set to become one of the board’s founding members, the Prime Minister’s office announced on Wednesday morning.
The Board of Peace initiative was originally propelled with the aim of ending the war in Gaza, but Trump later said that it would resolve conflicts globally.
Later in the early afternoon, Egypt followed suit, with its foreign ministry publishing a statement announcing that it had also accepted its offered spot on the board. Hours later, a Turkish source told Reuters that Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan would represent President Erdogan on the board.
Fidan had previously told state media on Tuesday that the country would soon decide whether it would join the body after receiving an invitation….

Yeah, I do think that Trump is using this Board of Peace to supplant the UN. So far, only China has refused, saying that the UN has to be the primary arbiter of international relations. Which is fine: they can then pay the UN budget
Even then, I still don’t think that Turkey or Qatar belong in this board of peace. I had previously thought that it was just a group of muslim countries that don’t hate Israel that might be useful mediators b/w the Israelis and the Palis, but now that its scope seems to be so much bigger, maybe only include those countries that are at least friends, if not allies, of the US
This board of peace does require a $1 billion contribution to permanently join, which would explain how Qatar is a part of it. Maybe even Turkey

Trump is aware that Muslims hate Jews. That’ll why he invited Netanyahu after inviting a gaggle of Muslim despots to his “Board of Peace”. Trump is ambitious in every endeavor. Unfortunately he also believes that everyone really is a rational actor and can be led to peace when they see the benefits, especially financially. Trump really doesn’t understand the Islamic mind. Muslims will engage in self destructive actions if they think it will hurt their enemies. The despotic entities such as Qatar have oodles of riches and are prioritizing destroying Israel and to the blindness of Trump, America, funding both the violent jihad of Hamas and the civilizational jihad in America. Then you have the very loony despot Erdogan. Erdogan fantasizes about recreating the Ottoman Empire. He even has his guards dress in Ottoman period costumes. Above all Trump ignores that Muslims cannot have permanent peace with infidels, only a hudna, a temporary “peace” until they have the means to conquer Christians and Jews. Trump’s idea is idealistic but unrealistic.

Spot on.
Like most Westerners, he is unable to see the world through an islamic lens.

Trump is a very successful business man. Thats his weakness when it comes to dealing with Islam. Islam will make deals all day long while holding a dagger to stab you with behind its back. These leaders love business deals that support them and their Islamic cause.

Islam will make deals all day long, with no intention of following through.
Excellent post.

Trump knows that if invited Netanyahu first no Muslim country would accept his invitation. After a bunch of despotic Muslim entities accepted, then Netanyahu gets an invitation. It’s very likely that some of the Muslims start to decline the invitation now that Netanyahu is on board. The idea of course won’t work, for Gaza or elsewhere. Muslims are an alien civilization that Trump really only slightly understands.

Rabbi, you said it all in that first sentence.

Of what value is a Peace Board, if Hamas refuses to participate and disarm?

That is good. I missed that part.. Board of Peace.. sounds better than WEF.. I mean those people are dumber than a box of rocks.. the EU and NATO know NOTHING APPARENTLY about Economics.. or they wouldn’t be relying on the U.S for their “defense” and other FREEBIES.. which we constantly pay for..

Gaza is Israel 45 miles from downtown TelAviv and Trump’s board of peas should be stopped by Israel from being implemented. This is trump like Rome invading Israel, no matter how good you package it. Stop trump who betrays the Kurds, the Druse, Israel and everyone if you look down the road of later implications. If trump frees Iran, will trump let Iranians pick, the shah form a government or trump will have someone else that will actually be worse than khameni ? Am watching to see if trump redeems himself a bit here or confirms he sold his soul to the devil which causes a man to change a bit.
Trump tower home is Apollo decor. Apollo is Apollyon in Greek or Abaddon (a bad don) in Hebrew or Saddam in Arabic. All are The Destroyer. I weep over this world blindness.

Since its inception, I’ve had significant doubt about any successful peace plans in Gaza, specifically this “Board of Peace.” That’s especially true because of the invitations by Trump to Qatar and Turkey, two countries falsely accusing Israel of crimes against humanity in Gaza. However, nothing else tried has succeeded in 78 years of conflict between the State of Israel and its neighbors, so perhaps Trump’s ideas will result positively. Only time will tell if his efforts to finally bring an element of peace to the region.
