Unless Australia’s royal commission gets to the root of the problem plaguing its society, which a combination of Islam and careless immigration policy, no real solutions about the causes of antisemitism will be discovered.
Although Albanese admitted the Bondi attack was tied to ISIS and therefore Islamic terrorism, he also swung into Islamic apologetics mode. As Robert Spencer wrote:

The Bondi case was a blatant case of Islamic antisemitism, the same kind that drives the “resistance” movement (from the River to the Sea) against the Jewish state of Israel, since from the day of its founding.
Hatred of Jews and the jihad call to violence is written in the Qur’an and Hadiths, despite Albanese’s claim about a “radical perversion of Islam.” See how Jews are referenced in the Qur’an HERE.
A few examples of violence prescribed in Islam:
“Let those who sell the life of this world for the next fight in the way of Allah. Whoever fights in the way of Allah, whether he is killed or victorious, on him we will bestow a great reward.” (Quran 4:74)
“When your Lord inspired the angels, I am with you. So make those who believe stand firm. I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Then strike the necks and strike their fingertips.” (Quran 8:12)
A man asks Muhammad “which of men is the best?” Muhammad replies that it is the man who is always ready for battle and flies into it “seeking death at places where it can be expected.” (Sahih Muslim 20:4655)
In the words of Muhammad: “I would love to be martyred in Allah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2797)
“Indeed, Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth, because the garden will be theirs, they will fight in the way of Allah and will kill and be killed. It is a promise that is binding on him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’an. Who fulfills his covenant better than Allah? Rejoice then in your bargain that you have made, for that is the supreme triumph.” (Quran 9:111)
Any guesses regarding what texts instruct ISIS and every group and wing of violent jihad globally?
What can Albanese’s inquiry turn up that 1,400 years hasn’t? That Hamas hasn’t? That Palestinian jihadists haven’t? What about trends in Muslim migration to the West? Islamic antisemitism is the motivating ideology of the Bondi attackers. It needs to be acknowledged before exploring any solutions.
Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli declared Budapest to be “one of the safest and most welcoming European capitals for its Jewish community and for Israeli citizens alike.” His reason: Hungary’s “responsible immigration policy that recognizes the danger posed by radical Islam” and “an uncompromising government policy against antisemitism.” Given Albanese’s reputation as a clueless, gutless leftist who blamed the “far right” after the Bondi attack, don’t expect anything worthwhile to come from his Royal Commission investigation, which was itself launched under severe scrutiny and pressure.

It would doubtless be islamophobic by Albanese’s standard to note that God didn’t grant muslims the right to bind Jews and Christians, particularly in their sense of an eternal rapefest as a reward for slaughter.
“recommendations for….strengthening social cohesion ” I’m sure he’ll also claim it’s islamophobic for Jews and Christians to refuse to accept forced cohesion with those pledged to slaughter them in exchange for little boys to rape through all eternity.
His past proclivities leave me skeptical.

This has been interesting to watch. I am in my70s and I have not seen this happen in Australia before. Albanese and his far left government have been dragged, kicking and screaming to having a federal royal commission. Because they know that they have been totally derelict in countering the anti Jewish sentiment they wanted a smaller inquiry. But there was revolt by the Australian community. The Jewish community, political opposition, business leaders, famous sporting stars, leading police all called for a royal commission and Albanese and his govt eventually caved in. It took a couple of weeks but they reluctantly had to cave in.

That is what I expect will happen, James. This Labor government have a lot of guilt for the anti Jewish filth that has festered in our society. But they taken a big hit in polls over trying to avoid a full on royal commission. I forgot to put in that list of groups who demanded a royal commission were also retired judges and also former Labor politicians. Basically day after day another group demanded a royal commission. It was different to anything I’ve seen. I hope it nails this govt but I doubt it

Let’s write to Albanese and confront him with the following thought experiment.
Right now, Australia has about a million muslims, and less than 200,000 Jews.
Suppose the numbers were reversed: suppose we had a million Jews, and less than 200,000 Muslims.
Would the task of the AFP, ASIO, and our ordinary police be more difficult, or less difficult?
How much would we be having to spend on homeland security? More, or less? On tracking possible ‘extremists’? More, or less? On policing? More, or less? On dealing with drug traffickers, etc? More, or less?
Let’s up the ante a little. Again, just a thought experiment.
What if we had NO Muslims living in Australia, and 1,500 000 Jews?
What would our security situation look like??? Would we have more or fewer violent criminal gangs, etc? Would we have rabid radical preachers whipping up hate and inciting to violence? Would we have clandestine FGM and polygynous ‘marriages’? NOPE. Nada, zilch, nothing. Peace and quiet.
Frankly, I would say that our spending on homeland security would be a whole lot less.. and with 1.5 million Jews busily and happily getting on with life, peacefully coexisting with all the rest of us, our Gross Domestic Product and, to coin a phrase, our Gross Intellectual Product, would probably be perceptibly greater!
