Canada has seen the largest surge of antisemitism in the world. Last April, Israel’s Ministry for Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism presented its first report on the rise of antisemitism around the world. It found that in regard to this increase in antisemitism, Canada was overwhelmingly in the lead: “In Canada antisemitic incidents increased by 970%; in Australia 320% and a 260% rise in antisemitic violence; in the United States a rise of 200%; and in France, a 300% increase in antisemitic incidents.”
Canada is also the country that is most vocal about DEI and anti-hate initiatives; but given its record, the question of whether Jews are included in these initiatives is a valid one.
A month before the Combating Antisemitism report, Canada’s Foreign Minister, Melanie Joly, posted a photo of herself holding hands with the Palestinian Authority’s jihadist President Mahmoud Abbas, who still runs the notorious “pay for slay” program to give government money to jihad terrorists and their families. In March, Canada also announced a gift of $84 million to Syria’s jihadist President Ahmed al-Sharaa. In May, Canada imposed sanctions on “Jewish perpetrators”of so-called “extremist settler violence” in Judea and Samaria.
And now for this latest news, of Canada joining the UK, Germany, France and ten others to condemn Israel’s decision to approve 19 new settlements in Judea and Samaria. Such interference into the internal affairs of the Jewish state serves to embolden the “globalize the intifada” movement.
“UK, Canada, Germany and others condemn Israel’s West Bank settlement expansion,” France 24, December 24, 2025:
Fourteen countries, including France, Britain, and Germany, condemned on Wednesday Israel’s recent approval of new Jewish settlements in the occupied West Bank.
“We, States of Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain and the United Kingdom condemn the approval by the Israeli security cabinet of 19 new settlements in the occupied West Bank,” said a joint statement released by the French foreign ministry.
“We recall our clear opposition to any form of annexation and to the expansion of settlement policies,” it added.
On Sunday, Israel’s far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich announced the authorities had greenlit the settlements, saying the move was aimed at preventing the establishment of a Palestinian state.
In their statement, the countries stressed such unilateral actions “violate international law” and risk undermining a fragile ceasefire in Gaza as mediators push for the implementation of the second phase of the truce.
The countries urged Israel “to reverse this decision, as well as the expansion of settlements”.
They also reaffirmed their “unwavering commitment to a comprehensive, just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution… where two democratic states, Israel and Palestine, live side-by-side in peace and security”….

They can complain all they want, nevertheless Israel can do what they want in their own country. They can go suck it!

Canada is in no position to condemn anyone, the Canadian ignorance is appalling.

Old Guy agrees with you.

I suspect that the government must be putting a special chemical in Canadian water that turns virtually everyone into a retard. I simply can’t fathom how old stock Canadians have allowed this to happen, but it has. Canada is lost. The war is over.

So what. Those same countries *condemned* Israel for fighting to defend against hamas, and to bring home those taken hostage.
Israel is condemned for any move, any decision because the *moves* and the *decisions* are not what muzzies want.
For some *reason* (satan is the reason) nations and their *leaders* seem to believe that muzzies are all named Lola.

Canada has become a mess and I think a lot of Canadians know this. What a waste of a once fine nation.
Arty says
Agreed. Nothing is getting better in Canada, everything is getting worse. And it’s all on Canadians themselves. This country is unrecognizable to many older Canadians.
Bruce Williams says
Wellington, it’s not just a mess, it’s a five alarm fire these days. I suspect the increase in anti-semitism is due to the very large importation of Muslims into the country. Consequences are real.

This article is about an Israeli administrative division that overlaps the West Bank. For the proposed state, see State of Judea. For the biblical regions that serve as its namesake, see Judea and Samaria. For the biblical kingdoms, see Kingdom of Judah and Kingdom of Samaria.

+1. According to International Law, there is no “occupation” and there are no “settlements”. British International Law specialist Natasha Hausdorff explains this fully in some of her videos. The “occupation” is as fake as the “genocide” in Gaza.

Israel should forget about ‘settlement expansion’ in Judea and Samaria – they should just take over both completely and kick every last muslim out – permanently.
And kick every last muslim out of Israel – permanently.
Following that, Israel won’t be hated any more than they already are…

As an Englishman I “condemn the settlement expansion” of Islam and its adherents in my own native cities and towns.
The UK is in no moral position to be condemning anything or anybody, given our open borders, daily immigrant rapes and murders and suppression of the human rights of the native population.
Tough as it is to accept, my country deserves the derision, ridicule and contempt – but please don’t blame us all.
Bruce Williams says
Of course not Eddie. There are many good ‘old stock’ Englishmen that realize the country is heading for the dustbin. However, the vast majority are asleep at the wheel and it appears that it’s far to late for them to wake up. The damage has been done.

EUGENE KONTOROVITCH and NATASHA HAUSDORFF are two prominent Israeli/British jurists who have debunked the whole “Illegal settlements” narrative which has been foisted on the world for 50 years. They should be referenced in ANY and EVERY discussion of the so-called “settlements” “Illegal under international law”. There were old Jewish communities in the “West Bank” before Jordan expelled them in 1948. Jews returning there since then are not “settlers”, and since the area is not part of Jordan, there is no “settlement”. The principle of Uti Possidetis applies here as it does to every other place in the world, but the Israel-haters, as usual, want to make Israel an exception and claim a fake crime that has never happened.
