Nigeria: Trump threatens to go into that ‘disgraced country, guns-a-blazing’ to wipe out ‘Islamic Terrorists’

Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria as jihadists continue to massacre them.  Trump has had enough, as Jihad Watch reported HERE. More is unfolding now, as Trump has suggested possible military action against “this disgraced country,” as well as a stripping of funds.

The active genocide being waged in Nigeria — to which Bill Maher drew much needed attention in September — is being carried out for the specific reason that Nigerian criminologist and researcher Emeka Umeagbalasi pointed out: “to annihilate all Christians and Islamize Nigeria.”

And what has the government of Nigeria been doing? Nothing, if not facilitating the slaughter of Christians. Senator Cruz recently introduced a bill against the persecution of Nigerian Christians. He said:

Nigerian Christians are being targeted and executed for their faith by Islamist terrorist groups, and are being forced to submit to sharia law and blasphemy laws across Nigeria. It is long past time to impose real costs on the Nigerian officials who facilitate these activities, and my Nigeria Religious Freedom Accountability Act uses new and existing tools to do exactly that. I urge my colleagues to advance this critical legislation expeditiously.

American money should not be spent on Nigeria or in fact any jihadist government that persecutes Christians and other minorities. Kudos to Trump for considering stripping funding from Nigeria. The US gave Nigeria $600,000,000 in 2023 alone.

ABUJA, Nigeria — U.S. President Donald Trump on Saturday said he’s ordered the Pentagon to begin planning for potential military action in Nigeria as he stepped up his allegations that the government is failing to rein in the persecution of Christians in the West African country.

The president also warned that he “will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria.”

“If the Nigerian Government continues to allow the killing of Christians, the U.S.A. will immediately stop all aid and assistance to Nigeria, and may very well go into that now disgraced country, ‘guns-a-blazing,’ to completely wipe out the Islamic Terrorists who are committing these horrible atrocities,” Trump posted on social media. “I am hereby instructing our Department of War to prepare for possible action. If we attack, it will be fast, vicious, and sweet, just like the terrorist thugs attack our CHERISHED Christians!”

The warning came after Nigeria’s President Bola Ahmed Tinubu earlier on Saturday pushed back on Trump announcing a day earlier that he was designating the West African country “a country of particular concern” for allegedly failing to rein in the persecution of Christians.

In a social media statement on Saturday, Tinubu said that the characterization of Nigeria as a religiously intolerant country does not reflect the national reality.

“Religious freedom and tolerance have been a core tenet of our collective identity and shall always remain so,” Tinubu said. “Nigeria opposes religious persecution and does not encourage it. Nigeria is a country with constitutional guarantees to protect citizens of all faiths.”

Trump on Friday said “Christianity is facing an existential threat in Nigeria” and “radical Islamists are responsible for this mass slaughter.”…

  2. Nigeria is the most populous, richest and most powerful black nation in Africa. About 200 million people. It has always been a majority christian nation.Dont know the current numbers but over 110 million christians now.
    Nigeria with oil, minerals, rivers, good soil and many educated people should today be like the richer European nations.
    What went wrong decades ago was a civil war in Nigeria. The highly educated igbos that are totally christian, in the southeast and where the oil is declared the independent state of Biafra. They were persecuted always by the government.
    But, the only reason they declared independence, meaning war, was because Britain promised instant recognition and instant military supplies.britain broke the promise. We now know Britain did this on purpose to set back Nigeria development for decades as Europe does not want a powerful prosperous African black nation.
    After decades, Nigeria was back on track to development. To long to go into this, but Hillary clinton did heavy interference throughout Nigeria behind the scenes helping empower moslems, and christians in name only to take over Nigeria.
    Moslems are growing, not by conversion, but steady migration into Nigeria from Sahara nations to the north, east and west.
    Trump can only save Nigeria by taking down the government and putting real christians in charge again. Trump can mouth off but he won’t do it and I don’t think h can do it.

    • As Nigerians, we do not want a repeat of the kind of direct political interference we experienced during the Obama administration in 2015. If Donald Trump were to openly influence the next election, any candidate who emerges even a credible one would risk being seen as a puppet of the United States. What Nigerians truly need is not foreign control over our democratic process, but genuine international support in holding the real enemies of our progress accountable.

      What we expect from the U.S. and the global community is full exposure of those sponsoring terrorism, ensuring that such individuals find no safe haven anywhere in the world. Their foreign investments should be frozen, their families denied asylum, and their political manipulations especially during elections fully confronted. Nigeria is a multi-religious, multi-ethnic nation with a constitution designed to guarantee balance, fairness, and equal representation. Yet a select few have abused that system, bending justice and power in their favor.

      Our constitution demands equitable representation across tribes and religions, but since the 2015 interference in our politics, the worst actors have been empowered while those with integrity have been undermined sometimes through sanctions, sometimes through covert support for instability and extremist groups.

      In all sincerity, what many Nigerians believe is that the United States owes us not control over our political destiny but a correction of the damage done. We want a return to the progressive trajectory we were on before 2015, not by installing leaders for us, but by dismantling the global protections enjoyed by those who brought Nigeria to this state.

  3. All help given….money, food, and military…goes to the muzzies who are doing the mass slaughter, the theft of land, fishing equipment, the destruction of homes and churches.

    Just as hamas steals the aid sent into Gaza for the citizens, the nigerian government and its muzzie armies take all aid and use it to the disadvantage of the Christians.

    Thousands upon thousands of Christians have been murdered, their children kidnapped, raped and enslaved, their farms and fisheries stolen, their churches and homes burned to the ground. And the government doesn’t just stand by and watch, their armies help those doing the works of the devil.

  5. At the very least, Pres. Trump is shining in international spotlight on the muslim genocide of Christians in Nigeria.

    So weit kommt es noch, dass der Westen seine eigene Vernichtung finanziert, sie mit Waffen und Know-how ausstattet, als quasi Ermunterung ihren Dschihad fortzusetzen.
    Genau so hat sich der Westen auch bei der Unterstützung der palästinensischen Terrororganisationen verhalten.
    Langsam müsste man doch mal aufwachen und stattdessen die verfolgten Christen und andere nichtmuslimische Glaubensrichtungen bewaffnen, damit sie eine adäquate Gegenwehr leisten können.

    Auf der einen Seite Hochtechnologie mit den Griff nach den Sternen. Auf der anderen Seite zunehmende Unbildung, kulturelle Verwahrlosung, Diskurs- und Demokratieunfähigkeit gepaart mit Gewalt und Verantwortungslosigkeit.
    Diese offensichtliche Diskrepanz von Anspruch und Wirklichkeit nutzen gewaltaffine Religionen gnadenlos aus, ihren Machtanspruch geltend zu machen.

  10. I support any U.S. military intervention that helps stop the slaughter of Christians in Nigeria. Interestingly, Tucker Carlson reportedly does as well, suddenly forgetting his repeated calls for America to avoid direct involvement in foreign conflicts, e.g. Israel and Ukraine. I predict others of his ilk, like MTG, Gaetz, Owens, and perhaps Massie, will also ignore their previous calls for nonintervention in the service of America Only and support this. Why? Because no Jews are involved, like Zelenskyy (barely Jewish, but so what?) and, of course, Israel.

  11. While the slaughter of Christians/Catholics and Priest is taking place in Nigeria the Pope and his cronies are putting prayer rugs for visiting islamic followers to pray to their Allah at the Vatican.

    At least Trump is condemning the killing of Christians and considering what can be done to stop it. Once again Islam is the culprit and the west continues to allow the migration of Islam within its borders. Stopping this violence of Islam will get harder and harder as we allow the world wide migration invasion of muslims and Islam to take place.

    It is getting to be critical time for non-muslim/islamic people to make a decision on how to stop the murder of non-islamic people.

    Right now I support our American leadership to do what’s best for America.

    • Old Guy, the pope and his underlings make special places for the muzzies and their preying rugs because they conclude that the Christians in Africa don’t make special places in their churches for the muzzies to lay down their preying rugs, and therefore, bring the slaughter upon themselves.
      If only Christians in Africa would make special rooms in their churches for the muzzies to put down their dirty preying carpets, the muzzies wouldn’t go on their murdering sprees.

  12. On one hand, I welcome POTUS finallynoticing the genocide in Nigeria. It remains to be seen how that translates into policy

    That said, I’m not getting this. In Team MAGA, most people are strongly opposed to support for Ukraine, and support to Israel deeply splits the party. The mantra used there is “No foreign entanglements”, even when it just means sending weapons to Ukrainians or Israelis, as opposed to sending US troops or money

    Now suddenly here, in Nigeria, you have him threatening to send US troops into Nigeria! Boots on the ground, US money spent there….. If one uses the MAGA standard, the justification for going into Nigeria is even less. Only MAGA thing there might be that Christians are being saved, but
    ⮞ There are no US interests at stake there
    ⮞ However, US lives would be risked
    ⮞ What exactly is the end game, and what does success here look like?

    For a movement that demands that US troops and assets be concentrated in this country first, and the hemisphere next, what’s being proposed doesn’t come even close to their aspirations

    What about 7 years ago, when Trump had a news conference with the last evil dictator of Nigeria (Buhari) on the White House lawn, saying so many sugary sticky sweet things to him, it made me sick! I thought Trump was going to bend a knee, and kiss him all over.
    Like how Nigeria was the largest democracy in Africa (murdering thousands of Christians), how much money that Trump gives them every year (billions +), and how much business they do together, and will do in the years ahead, and how Nigeria is fighting all the bad guys (ISIS and Boko Harem, year right), and more….
    Oh yeah,, the last thing Trump said, was said low, about how so many Christians shouldn’t be killed, or something to that effect.
    Trump couldn’t of taken care of this thousands of Christians killed, through this evil man’s whole term??
    What’s the difference between this evil leader of Buhari, 7 years ago, and this new leader doing the SAME THING, killing thousands of Christians??
