Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu watched from Air Force Command Center during an Israeli retaliatory attack on Houthi targets in Yemen. The airport strike in Yemen’s Sana’a airport led “to its complete shutdown.” the IDF said. Power stations, as well a concrete factory used “to build tunnels and military infrastructure,” were also struck, in what IDF described as ” another example of the Houthi terrorist organization’s use of civilian infrastructure for terrorist operations.”
The modus operandi of jihadists is to expand their jihad war into civilian populations. Using human shields as cover in their view is fully legitimate, since “martyrdom” in the way of jihad is the highest calling:
“Indeed, Allah has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth, because the garden will be theirs, they will fight in the way of Allah and will kill and be killed.” (Quran 9:111)
The words of Muhammad: “I would love to be martyred in Allah’s Cause and then get resurrected and then get martyred, and then get resurrected again and then get martyred and then get resurrected again and then get martyred.” This is why modern-day Jihadists often say that they love death. (Sahih Bukhari 52:54)
“Allah guarantees that He will admit the Mujahid in His Cause into Paradise if he is killed, otherwise He will return him to his home safely with rewards and war booty.” (Sahih Bukhari 52:46)
In mid-April, Dr. Abdulaziz Sager, chairman of the Saudi based Gulf Research Center reported that the Yemen government was preparing an 80,000-soldier assault on Houthis in Hodeidah. So far, nothing of the sort has happened, and Israel certainly cannot wait on the Yemeni government to act while its people and country are under attack.
“Israel attacks Yemen airport after Houthi missile strike near Tel Aviv airport,” by Kevin Shalvey, ABC News, April 6, 2025:
LONDON — The Israeli military on Tuesday launched an attack on Yemen’s Sana’a International Airport and other civilian sites, claiming they were used by Houthi militants.
The strike came two days after a ballistic missile launched from Yemen by the Iran-backed Houthis landed near Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv, Israel.
The Israel Defense Forces said on Tuesday that the central Yemen airport “is used by the Houthi terrorist organization for the transfer of weapons and operatives, and is regularly operated by the Houthi regime for terrorist purposes.”
The airport strike led “to its complete shutdown,” the IDF said. Israel also targeted power stations and a concrete factory, which it accused the Houthis of using to build tunnels and military infrastructure….

Why *explain*? Israel is at war; their airport was attacked first, so the houthis should have expected an attack of retaliation.

What’s that acronym, FAFO, fiddle around and find out? The Houthis are finding out.
The age of Islam conquering non-Muslim nations by force has been over since before WW1. The possibility of continual occupation of a defeated intractible enemy has also been over since the world wars. It only worked where there were strong central governments.
Technology and global positioning systems have changed winning wars with armies into which nation has the more capable remote destructive ability, only backed up by armies when the war technologies of both beligerants are approximately matched. We see this clearly in Ukraine where Russia and Ukraine’s proxy supporters have similar technical capabilities – the outcome of the war is being decided by armies on the ground.
Groups like Houthis only have limited borrowed technology and live in a mindset of ground war. They could be utterly destroyed by Israel or the US by nuclear technical means but that would cause taking on the mantle of inhumane destroyers.
All enemies of Israel should keep in mind its actual technical abilities before attempting to destroy it.
If a nation, say Iran, decided to attack Israel with WMDs it would likely kill many Palestinians – the very people they falsely claim to love and desire to “liberate”. Israel would have no such constraint in responding to Tehran, a fact that currently keeps the Mullahs in check and sometimes, in shelters.

I beg to differ in fact Islam has done most of its damage when the West is at the height of its power. Like right now radical groups of Muslims who live in the West (masquerading as citizens) demand to have their beastly religion imposed on us.

Great point.

Trump has again thrown Israel to the curb.
Trump just said today that as long as houthis end attacking ships, that trump is finished bombing Yemen.
I guess that means houthis will concentrate on attacking Israel and Israel will have too go it alone. How many sand piles and tents trump blow up in yem n anyway?

No one here has to “repeat” anything after you, nor does anyone here have to agree with you.
And **shouting** your demands is so very rude and immature.
Anthony Fernandes says
Agreed with you sir

Yeah, how was that bombing even remotely successful, if the Yemenis still had something to launch what was almost a successful attack on Ben Gurion Airport?

The only way that the Houthi Yemen stop attacking others is to destroy their weapons and ability to do so. Sorry you can’t take their lying word for it.

The truce with the US should have included a clause saying that any attack on one of America’s allies, as well as on America itself, will be deemed a breach of the ceasefire and will warrant proportionate response.
