Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to Hamas: ‘Sons of dogs, release the hostages’

The words of  Mahmoud Abbas, calling Hamas “sons of dogs” and telling them to “release the hostages,” will likely deceive the naive into believing that Abbas is a “moderate” who stands in defense of the hostages and even in defense of Israel’s right to exist, when the truth is that Abbas has run a pay-for-slay program to reward “martyrs” (and their families) for murdering Israelis. Abbas also denies the Holocaust,  does not actually recognize Israel’s right to exist, and seeks Israel’s destruction.

Abbas’ goal to taking aim at Hamas is rooted in the Palestinian Authority’s longstanding competition with Hamas to rule Gaza. Abbas has remained resolute that Hamas should not play a role in governing post-war Gaza, and he is positioning himself for the role in future. The Biden administration supported the Palestinian Authority in that vision.

At the end of March, I wrote on Jihad Watch that “Mahmoud Abbas’ highly publicized proclamation that the PA would be ending its terror rewards program known as ‘Pay-for-Slay’ was obviously a big lie to begin with — one that was carefully calculated for effect in the ongoing jihad against the Jewish state. Abbas’ promise was for appearances, especially given the fact that the Biden administration was advocating for ‘new Palestinian-led governance—with Gaza united with the West Bank under the Palestinian Authority.’ Biden et al did not admit that the PA was just as dangerous as Hamas to Israel, even given the fact of its longtime pay-for-slay program and continuous calls for the murder of Israelis. Other leftist governments, such as France, have also supported the idea of the Palestinian Authority taking over control of Gaza in a Palestinian state.”

The deception of Islamic supremacists is used as a weapon of war.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas called on “sons of dogs” Hamas to “hand over the hostages” in a televised speech at the PA’s Central Council on Wednesday.

Abbas added that the “war must end,” citing that hundreds are dying every day because “[Hamas] doesn’t want to hand over the American hostages. Sons of dogs – hand over the hostages and end the matter.”

Abbas said the goals are “Returning the hostages; lifting the Israeli blockade of Gaza; stopping the displacement of our people in coordination with Arab countries; defending the ‘Palestinian cause.'”

He also stressed that “Hamas must end its control of the Gaza Strip and hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority.”

Abbas also called on Hamas to turn itself into a political party, saying “talk to us instead of the Americans.”

He also condemned Israel’s actions during the war, saying, “The coup carried out by Hamas in 2007 gave Israel a pretext to destroy the Gaza Strip. 2,165 families were completely wiped out, and 6,664 were partially wiped out. More than two-thirds of the homes were destroyed in the war.”….
