Canada: Pro-Hamas Muslims disrupt Toronto’s busy Yonge and Bloor intersection with prayers on loudspeaker

The corner of Yonge and Bloor is a major intersection and key transfer point for the Toronto Transit Commission subway line, with some 220,000 passengers passing through every day. Pro-Hamas demonstrators decided to disrupt the intersection with their Islamic prayers, on loudspeaker, with shouts of  “Free, free, free Palestine,” and “Allahu akbar” in between. But we must not connect Hamas violence and support of it with Islam; that would be “Islamophobic.”


Toronto Police didn’t disappoint with their two-tier policing. They stood by and did nothing, or rather, enabled the problematic crowd, later justifying the disruption as “fundamental rights protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.”

The praying protesters outside of the Israeli Consulate drew criticism from a woman who said she lives there.

“This is a roadway for emergency service. If we have fire or whatever. You are not allowed here,” said the woman. “I live here and this roadway, (it) is against the law to block. In Canada, it’s against the law.”

Police said she was wrong. She was shouted down with chants of, “Free, free, free Palestine,” and also blocked by some protesters as she tried to walk through the crowd. While some tried to impede her, others offered her a safe path to get through, telling people to “not touch her.”

As she was moving through the crowd, the woman said this road is “for safety, to get to our jobs and the TTC,” calling the gathering “totally unacceptable.”

This is particularly disgusting considering the recent uproar over two Toronto Police Muslim liaison officers who praised October 7 for leading more people to Islam. Toronto Police also released pro-Hamas 18-year-old Hissa Abed after she was arrested for violently assaulting a man 70 years her senior at a Toronto pro-Israel rally. The 88-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment.

Toronto Police also charged Amir Arvahi Azar with with 29 criminal counts, including “advocating genocide” against the Jewish community, but the National Post reported that “despite allegedly being caught with three loaded handguns and being accused of an eight-month antisemitic crime spree – he’s been released on bail.”

Canadians need to wake up before it’s too late.

It’s a great debate thanks to what occurred Tuesday at about 7:30 p.m. at Yonge and Bloor Sts. A mass prayer involving hundreds of people may have looked like it was happening in Mecca, but it was actually in Toronto…..

  5. Recently a muslim at a protest in New York City, said, one day the five burrows of New York will be muslim whether the people like it or not. It appears that the muslims can prey in the streets whether the citizens like it or not. P.S. The word prey was misspelled for a reason.

  10. The police won’t stop them, claiming the “freedom,” stuff. But, the woman who objected was hindered by the same police. Where is her “freedom” to go where she needs or wants to go?

    mozlums are not just being *allowed* to take over; they are being aided, abetted, and encouraged, to take over.

    The list of nations helping mozlums to murder citizens and destroy the *freedoms* which have been touted for centuries, is growing ever longer.

    • All the police have to do is apply existing law and there is no problem. But you are completely correct. The Police by not enforcing the law are aiding, abetting, and encouraging, these Hamas people to take over the streets, the transportation, and whatever else they can steal.

  12. I heard a Toronto Cop refer to the PRO-HAMAS protesters as the ‘poor Palestinians’.

    1) There are only about 4-5 Million Palestinans word-wide and very few live in Toronto.
    2) I have counter-protested these events and I can assure you that the Muslims meet Toronto’s DEMOGRAPHICS.
    3) Well over 50 PERCENT ARE PAKISTANI.

    I’d be surprised if 1 in 20 was Palestinian.

  15. Someone should have had twelve young women in bikinis twerking in front of them. The police would have told them they have no right to protest. If the West does not wake up it will be too late. This is an in your face protest to the West to show what they can do.

    These protesters without permits must be hereded off the streets arrested and heavily fined…to make them think twice the next time…

  17. So it’s OK to cause this level of obstruction for the sake of conspicuous congregation, but just try doing the same thing in an abortion clinic buffer zone. But then, there’s no reason for Muslims to protest abortion – what’s not to like about either the sex selective sort, or a reduction in the number of infidels?
