Canada: Mississauga mayor defends upcoming Hamas vigil, compares Yahya Sinwar to Nelson Mandela

Just when you think it couldn’t get any worse than the announcement of a pro-Hamas vigil honoring the mastermind of the October 7 jihad massacre, Yahya Sinwar, to be held in Mississauga, now the mayor of Mississauga, Carolyn Parrish, is comparing the Sinwar to Nelson Mandela.

Her views are dangerous, as she justifies Hamas’ barbaric attack on Israeli citizens. Parrish stated:

I just want to point out — and I’m not being facetious — Nelson Mandela was declared a terrorist by the United States of America until the year 2008. Your terrorist and somebody else’s terrorist may be two different things.

Despite Hamas being recognized as a terrorist group, Parrish stated that “the vigil is protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms” on public property.

Amid the ongoing controversy over a planned vigil commemorating Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar, the mayor of Mississauga, Ont., compared the deceased terrorist to Nelson Mandela during a council meeting on Wednesday.

The city and Mayor Carolyn Parrish have come under fire for saying that the vigil is protected under the Charter of Rights and Freedoms and for refusing to do anything to prevent it from going ahead on public property, at Celebration Square, on Nov. 26.

Local councillor Joe Horneck questioned why the city couldn’t condemn the vigil in its communications, given that Sinwar is widely identified as a terrorist, including by the government of Canada. Sinwar is considered to be the architect behind the October 7 terror attacks against Israel and was killed Oct. 16 by Israeli forces in Gaza.

Parrish responded by drawing a comparison between Sinwar and Mandela, the anti-apartheid activist and first president of South Africa who died in 2013.….

  2. That’s a fine comparison: Nelson Mandela was a thug as well. While Carolyn Parrish was at it, she could just as easily have tossed Mohandas Gandhi into that list as well. Mandela was leading an armed resistance, and led a Communist movement: it’s why the South African government of Pieter Botha classified the ANC as a terrorist organization. Just like Hamas is today

    If Hamas ever got full control of all Israeli territory, then the White genocide that’s going on today in South Africa would be replicated there w/ the Jews. Just like the Boers are close to extinction (except for the few that have managed to find a home in the Netherlands), the same would be true about the Jews if not just Hamas, but even if Fatah or anybody else took over

    Therefore , it all came back down on him . For Sinwar received a death by violence by the Israel Defense Force.

    Sinwar’s death was a just, righteous and necessary killing.

  6. I live in Mississauga and last night I wrote a very nasty letter to this brainless mayor Carolyn Parrish. I am so infuriated because I lost a family member at the hands of Yahya Sinwar and his gang of satanic Hamas followers, I didn’t hold back …. I used the “F” word as much as I possibly could to get my message across to her. I told this brainless b!tch that my cousin’s 20 year old son was brutally murdered by these Hamas savages. Carolyn Parrish was useless as an MP and now she’s proven she an idiot as a Mayor. I told her to step down and let someone more useful and capable to take that Mayoral position because she’s done absolutely nothing worthwhile for the City of Mississauga other than supporting and enabling terrorism and celebrating the satanic life of a muslim terrorist.

Durchtrainierte, martialisch auftretende, mit dem Nimbus des edlen “Wilden” Widerstandskämpfer versehen, kommt bei Mädchen und Frauen gut an. As soon as Yahya Sinwar got to meet his 72 virgins, I started searching the Internet for pics of his rotten monkey brain shot to pieces, just because I wanted to see him having really died by the hands of the IDF. (to celebrate what a splendid job the IDF did) And I have saved those pics to my PC’s HD ever since.

    Maybe Canadians should have a counter-protest to deliberately celebrate him having died, parading these pics around to make Parrish’s blood boil.

    I am angry and upset because you are literally sympathizing with a terrorist who is directly responsible for the brutal attack, massacre, kidnapping and taking hostages, brutal rape, sodomizing, murder, desecration and dismemberment of bodies of innocent women, children, babies and men. They were not just Jews (Israelis) but from other countries as well.

    I am also extremely angry and upset, because a family member of mine – my cousin’s 20 year old son Tomer Barak was brutally murdered along with other women, children, babies and men on October 7, 2023.

    You Carolyn like the rest of the world know full well that on October 7th. this evil son of a bitch Yahya Sinwar instructed his followers to embark on a barbaric sneak attack from Gaza on innocent people at the NOVA music festival and in kibbutz in Israel, leaving 1,200 dead, 254 taken hostage and many women and children raped, sodomized and dismembered. Did you stop to think that one of them could have been your father, mother, brother, sister or your kid?

    And here you are the so called illustrious Mayor of Mississauga, encouraging a group of people to celebrate the death of a genocidal murderer Yahya Sinwar. That is absolutely disgusting to say the least. And you have the fucking audacity of comparing South Africa’s icon former president Nelson Mandela who began as a prisoner for leading a group battling the horrors of apartheid to the leader of Hamas, a listed terror group that on October 7th perpetrated a barbaric sneak attack from Gaza on the innocent people at the NOVA music festival and in kibbutz in Israel, leaving 1,200 dead, 254 taken hostage and many women and children raped, sodomized and dismembered.
