This is less likely to be an outbreak of common sense, much less patriotism, in the Biden regime than it is an attempt to take a damaging campaign issue off the table.

Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III on Friday overruled the overseer of the war court at Guantánamo Bay and revoked a plea agreement reached earlier this week with the accused mastermind of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and two alleged accomplices.
The Pentagon announced the decision with a memorandum relieving the senior Defense Department official responsible for military commissions of her oversight of the capital case against Khalid Shaikh Mohammed and his alleged accomplices for the attacks that killed nearly 3,000 people in New York City, at the Pentagon and in a Pennsylvania field.
The overseer, retired Brig. Gen. Susan K. Escallier, signed a pretrial agreement on Wednesday with Mr. Mohammed, Walid bin Attash and Mustafa al-Hawsawi that exchanged guilty pleas for sentences of at most life in prison.
In taking away the authority, Mr. Austin assumed direct oversight of the case and canceled the agreement, effectively reinstating it as a death-penalty case. He left Ms. Escallier in the role of oversight of Guantánamo’s other cases….

This was all over the news last night. One report quoted a lawyer for many of the ghouls held in Cuba…and he was lamenting that it was ‘bad’ and claimed it was even ‘bad’ for the victim’s families. However, the victim’s families want trials to be held and death sentences imposed.
A fourth ghoul was also being considered, and a fifth one has ‘ptsd’…oh, poor, poor ghoul…and is unable to stand trial. So, whack them all and get it over with.

First I want to say that yes Robert is correct in pointing out that this is strictly an election move. As a matter fact I believe that the entire plea deal was a fake …done for show to bolster election chances. A total fakery.
And it’s also my opinion that the sole reason that this mofo is still alive is so he can be used for political purposes such as this.

September 11, 2001 murdered 3000 American people and we are at year 23 and they are still breathing? Boy the lawyers sure no how to suck money out of us tax payers. How can it take 23 years to conclude a case and carry out the verdict? How many millions of tax payer dollars have been spent to defend and prosecute this case? Something stinks.

If people like Khaled Sheikh Muhammad have lived so long since 9/11, it may well be because they gave some important information on their fellow terrorists in exchange for their rotten lives. My guess is that if he is ever let outside an American prison alive, KSM is a dead man walking.
