Under pressure, Ontario House Speaker Ted Arnott has just revised his keffiyeh ban at the Ontario Legislature in Queen’s Park, saying that “they can now be worn inside the precinct, but remain forbidden in the legislative chamber.” But as expected, that wasn’t enough for Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Sarah Jama: “NDP MPPs walk out of Ontario legislature as Sarah Jama is asked to leave over keffiyeh,” CBC News, May 6, 2024:
Ontario House Speaker Ted Arnott says people will be allowed to enter the Queen’s Park legislative building while wearing a keffiyeh, but the scarf remains forbidden inside the chamber. MPP Sarah Jama put on a keffiyeh as Monday’s question period started and was asked to leave.Members of the NDP caucus, Joel Harden and Kristyn Wong-Tam, also put on scarves and left in solidarity with Jama.
Jama was kicked out of the far-left New Democratic Party (NDP) caucus in October and became a sitting independent MPP in the legislature over the Palestinian issue. Two days after Hamas savaged innocent Israelis on October 7, Jama, who was the Hamilton-Centre NDP MPP at the time, posted her support for Palestinians, and wrote of “the generations long occupation of Palestine” by Israel. Yet she made no comment about Hamas or its attack. She was subsequently (and surprisingly) ejected from the far-left NDP caucus. But her zeal for the “resistance” didn’t subside. If anything, it grew. Last month, Jama was asked to leave the chamber for wearing the keffiyeh, but refused to do so. In defiance, Jama has stated that “she will continue to wear the garment, despite the ban.”
Most disappointing:
Leaders of all four political parties, including Premier Doug Ford, have called for the ban’s reversal and the NDP has tried twice to get unanimous consent to allow members to wear the scarf, both of which were unsuccessful due to a handful of dissenting Progressive Conservative members.
Jihad Watch covered Ford’s call to reverse the keffiyeh ban HERE. Ford knows little, if anything, of the garment’s historic meaning, and why it is so highly offensive. It symbolizes the Palestinian “resistance” against Israel, that is, efforts to obliterate the Jewish State “from the River to the Sea.” The kaffiyeh is a call to Palestinian revolutionaries to unite in the goal of Israel’s annihilation.
Meanwhile, the National Council of Canadian Muslims (formerly CAIR-Can) wrote:
MPPs in Ontario are defying the ban of the Palestinian keffiyeh scarf.
They choose to stand against a racist and unfair ban that targets Palestinian cultural identity.
Tag your local MPP to ask them to join the growing defiance against the ban at Queen’s Park.

Sarah Jama is now a hero to the pro-Hamas activists; in fact, she’s a powerhouse among “resistance” revolutionaries.
Jama also joined the McMaster University campus encampment and called aloud to “globalize the intifada.”
I salute her for finally being honest about her violent, hateful, pro-terrorist beliefs.
I’m old enough to remember the second intifada. Seeing the bombing of pizza parlours and buses full of kids changed my whole belief system. It’s nothing to celebrate, let alone “globalize”. https://t.co/MniSpi3tRI

The woke useful idiots who stand by Jama are clueless about what the Palestinian jihad (and more broadly, the global jihad) is all about. It’s about Islamic conquest, with a 1,400 year history. Hamas has openly stated its goal of global conquest. Recently, in a protest in Hamburg, over a thousand Muslims chanted “Allahu akbar” as they demanded an Islamic caliphate. As the battle over the keffiyeh plays out in the Ontario legislature, it is imperative to firmly stand by its ban, and not further embolden the deadly Palestinian “resistance.”

Legislatures were fine with dress codes until this kind of woman came along. Here’s one engaging in brutality to “protect family honor.” I’ve seen video of these mothers calmly looking on as men murder their daughters. Any symbol that one approves of this, let alone signaling support for terrorism, is a legitimate ban target. https://twitter.com/NiohBerg/status/1788146644178874648

That is demonic.
The Apostle Paul wrote two letters to Timothy. In one, he described the people in the “last days.” This short video illustrates so much of that description.
“Fierce, having no natural affection (love)…”
I notice the young lady is trim and attractive, while her demon parents are both obese. All that “fasting” for their fake prophet and false god….
Hoi Polloi says
It is truly evil and you’re dead on about the obviously difference between them. Banning that headdress for women would go a long way towards stemming the tide. If reps will stand up and vote for such a ban, they’re more likely to take other such reasonable stands.
somehistory says
thank you, HP.
And you are so right. In agreement with Jesus who said, “The one faithful in what is least, will be faithful also in what is much.”
The “scarf” is a ‘little thing’ compared to so many other things, but if they banned it, and stood by the ban, “it would go a long way.”

Why are we in Canada forced to accept the whims of dissatisfied muslims ? And they won’t ever be satisfied until we will be totally under their control.
Spiro says
Your correct and sad to say government will give in untill the Muslims get what they want Then it’s to late you all will have Shari
The US president is doing his best to bring that here
Some people think Biden is a Christian but not all
࿗Infidel࿘ says
B’cos somehow, your government thinks that being underpopulated is the worst thing in the world that Canada is cursed w/, and therefore they want to get anybody and everybody from anywhere in the world. Never mind what the effect is on just housing, to give just one example

I live miles from the Ontario Legislature in Canada. The influx of Muslims and their related reactionaries in Hamas et al, is a burgeoning reality here in Canada. Even the smallest town in Canada has some presence of this immigration. As far as the head covering is concerned, this is a wedge issue. Wave a flag of sorts in the legislature, on the streets, etc. and you are clearly made aware of the presence of a potential radical element that will continue to grow.
The world knows that Canada has always been very welcoming of immigration from all countries around the world. Our Prime Minister is too trusting that every person allowed into Canada is going to be sweetness and light. Asians and Arabs have shown themselves to be less than trustworthy with the Chinese opening secret police stations in Canadian cities, stealing intellectual properties, opening communist Confucius Societies on university campuses and so much more. There is an infiltration that is ongoing from questionable sectors of the populations around the world. We are r4ight next to the great satan after all. I can see the American flag from my balcony across the river. Wouldn’t Hamas just love to set up in our back yard.
The keffiyeh is a wedge issue that will slowly and inevitably insert the Middle Eastern muslim mindset further into our society I do have to say that I do not trust anyone who has an agenda that is not solely supportive of our Canadian existence. “They” are exactly not that. “They” want to insert their polluted religious mindset into our society and that sickens me. I am totally and irrevocably irreligious. Religion has, to me, been a cudgel that has been used against populations around the world for millennia. Nothing good has ever come of it except death and destruction. Look at the mad evangelicals in the U.S. who support the likes of what I euphemistically call the Orange Menace in the U.S., Trump.
I do not want my country changed by some destructive religious ideology whose objective is to undermine everything that has made Canada one of the top destinations in the world for peace and equality. The Muslim/Hamas/Arab masses will work to undermine our society and if it takes keeping our legislatures, schools and universities to a Canadian standard of normality, so be it. The Muslim/Hamas/Arab society has nothing to brag about. They are a fractured and dangerous reality in a world where we need more mutual respect and not the childish stupidity they want to impose on a caring population of Canadians who simply want to left alone.
I sincerely hope that our current Prime Minister is voted out of office at the next election. His open door policy is dangerous to our very existence and contributes to the continued fragmentation of our country.

What you call the Orange Menace in the US, Trump, is the very candidate who would endeavor to curb the immigration excesses you are complaining about.

Compare and contrast “crime on the streets” associated with “mad evangelicals” versus Muslims.
Apparently you think that Pres. Trump is a menace to the country. Is he more of a menace to the country than (selected) Pres. Biden?

You know, James, when someone complains about islam…I understand and empathize.
When one complains about mozlums, I understand and sympathize.
But when they put people who believe in Jesus Christ in the same category as they put mozlums, I lose any sympathy for their views.
James Lincoln says
Fully agree, somehistory.
And, so far, crickets from Paul Pinel…

Thank you, James.

What Paul calls the Orange Menace in the US, had the fortitude to stand up against the WEF. The Liberal government pays the media 1.6 billion dollars a year to keep up the “Orange Menace “ bad mantra. No Paul, Justine, Freeland, Carney, Guillbeault, Joly are all young global leaders who are undermining our country. They are all part of the “You will own nothing and be happy” clown show.
If Islam is so wonderful, why did so many leave Islamic countries? They are not here to assimilate, they are here to dominate.

Boot her to the curb. she is breaking law, and by breaking it for islam, she’s making it for islam and islam only.
It once was in the U.S. House of Reps that no one could wear anything on the head while in the room where the business of government goes on.
Then, along came ilhan elmi, alias omar, and her demands to wear her ugly scarf in that room and on that ‘floor.’
And the other guys gave in, capitulated, because she whined about the ‘phobia.’ One just has to look at other taboos she has broken and gotten by.
And the U.S. military where the mozlum female insisted she be allowed to wear her ugly scarf. Didn’t she get her way?
Wherever mozlums are allowed to whine and threaten their way to the top and get everything they want, everything else will be jettisoned….no matter how much those other things mean to freedom, and rights to life and liberty, and making personal choices of clothing, and food and entertainment, etc..

Idolatry on the part of pelosi and her gang; and she pretends to be Christian, and falsely claiming to quote Scripture which does not exist.
Some years ago, she was in syria, wearing the ugly scarf…which is a ”sharing with demons.”
