Jihad Watch reported on this case yesterday; now we learn that Lina Mukherjee “did not expect this punishment.” Even though she is a Muslim, Lina Mukherjee made the error of underestimating Islam’s intolerance to “insult” and defiance of the Sharia. The Indonesian woman, jailed for two years , was surprised by her verdict in a so-called moderate country.
As a TikTok star with a following of 2 million, Mukherjee’s intent was likely to entertain and push the envelope, but the Sharia court attributed her act to another intention, saying she “spread information that was intended to incite hate or individual/group enmity based on religion.”
Despite Mukherjee’s own naivete, she was taught a hard lesson about “blasphemy” in her own religion, as the court made an example of her. And her punishment in less “moderate” Muslim countries would have been worse.

Jakarta: An Indonesian court has sentenced a woman to two years in prison for violating the country’s blasphemy law after she posted a video on social media site TikTok in which she said a Muslim prayer before eating pork.
Indonesia is the largest Muslim-majority nation in the world and pork is considered haram, or not permissible, under Islam.
Lina Lutfiawati, also known as Lina Mukherjee, who identifies as Muslim according to court documents, posted a video TikTok in March in which she said the prayer, which translates to “in the name of God”, before eating some meat from a plate that also contained crispy pork skin.
The court in Palembang, on Sumatra island, found Lina deliberately “spread information that was intended to incite hate or individual/group enmity based on religion” and sentenced her on Tuesday, according to a court document.
It ordered her to pay a fine of 250 million rupiah ($25,274), on top of the jail sentence….
“I know that I am wrong but I did not expect this punishment,” Lina said on the local news station MetroTV….

Idiotic post. Indonesia is not an entirely Muslim nation–the Muslim population is 85%. There is also a significant Infidel population, including Chinese, who traidtionally are large consumers of pork. You can find restaurants and Chinese markets in the larger cities and certain regions that sell pork.

Funny, people who rape women and saying bismillah or quoting Quran verses or whatever, never been jailed for the blasphemy.
Eating pork must be a very great sin while raping women is not a sin, and especially for raping infidel women it must be rewarded by allah.

It’s all such a sham. This directive against pork came from ancient times when it was observed that sometimes people got sick and rarely died from trichinosis after eating undercooked pork. The roundworm is also found in many wild meats that Muslims eat. Somehow “Allah” overlooked them?
In an attempt to shoehorn Islam into Judaism and Christianity the creators of Islam borrowed restrictions from Leviticus that have little meaning in this modern day of understanding the mechanisms of disease. Yet, Islam turned a health directive into a method of bias and persecution when it has absolutely nothing to do with God’s judgement of the individual. It is now a weaponized “law” and a means of cancelling a competitor. Sound familiar ?

“Allah” overlooked them?’ It seems allah overlooked many things. Look at the muslim world outside of western influence. Who in their right mind would deify and follow an entity that brings such misery and sorrow? I want muslims to name one thing that allah has done for any human being on the planet. Just one.

Yet pork is considered halal based on the final dietary Quranic teachings found in Sura 5:3 and 5:5:
“Forbidden to you are carrion, blood, and swine…But whoever is compelled by extreme hunger—not intending to sin—then surely Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.”
“Today all good, pure foods have been made lawful for you. Similarly, the food of the People of the Book is permissible for you and yours is permissible for them.”
So, Muslims can eat pork if hungry and that was abrogated/cancelled by 2 verses later that Muslims can eat the food of Jews and Christians. While Jews don’t eat pork, some Christians do therefore pork is considered by the Quran to be halal.
But Muslims don’t want to hear anything about Islamic doctrine which goes against their beliefs about Islam. Islamic insanity.
