New in PJ Media:
Old Joe Biden’s presidency has not been bereft of accomplishments. He has erased America’s Southern border, brought in well over a million unvetted migrants, drastically reduced America’s prestige and influence worldwide, destroyed the energy independence the nation achieved during the Trump administration, and has overseen catastrophic rises in gas prices and, indeed, in prices overall.
And now, amid a baby formula shortage and a time when Americans are suffering from an economic crisis that threatens to be larger than any such downturn since the Great Depression, we are sending $40 billion to Ukraine. According to Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Biden’s handlers aren’t going to come up with that money simply by firing up the printing presses and afflicting the American people with more inflation; instead, we’re borrowing it from Communist China. What could possibly go wrong?
As PJM’s Athena Thorne noted a week ago, Paul has been a staunch opponent of the Ukraine aid package, saying: “Reserving the right to object, my oath of office is to the U.S. Constitution, not to any foreign nation. And no matter how sympathetic the cause, my oath of office is to the national security of the United States of America. We cannot save Ukraine by dooming the U.S. economy.” He pointed out that “gasoline alone is up 48 percent, and energy prices are up 32 percent over the last year. Food prices have increased by nearly 9 percent. Used vehicle prices are up 35 percent for the year, and new vehicle prices have increased 12 percent or more.”
And so dooming the American economy does seem to be exactly what Biden’s handlers are doing. Paul said Wednesday: “I think it’s important to know that we don’t have any money to send, we have to borrow money from China to send it to Ukraine. And I think most people kind of get that, and many Republicans will say that when it’s a new social program, but if it’s military aid to a country, they’re like we can borrow that, that’s a justified borrowing.”
He pointed out that the Republicans who voted to send this aid to Ukraine were undermining the argument that Biden was responsible for the current skyrocketing inflation: “The problem is that it all leads to inflation, so it kind of hurts the Republican argument that Biden’s spending and Biden’s debt leads to inflation, except for when it’s bipartisan spending and that doesn’t really count.”

Biden family owes personal economic ties to the Ukraine and China (by proof on Hunter,s lap top in the FBI personation for close to 2 years) that we the American people must pay a heavy price for Hunters ill gotten gains. Why has nothing came from the FBI “investigation” in the close to 2 years they have had the lap top ?

Sen. Paul is right. Very few people in DC have any interest in doing the right thing. He’s one of the few.

Not only ‘where is it coming from’ but ‘where is it going to?’ So many top Dems have assets there, I doubt if the ordinary Ukrainian will see much of it.

Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same American imperial coin. If I were an American, I would have abstained from voting for both parties.

thank you for your comment. What do you expect a bear to do when it is threatened? What happened in Ukraine is that the Russian white bear attacked those who were threatening him in his own home.

He has previously said that Europeans deserve to suffer Jihad terror, saying “I wish that those barbarians teach those stupid and evil Europeans good lesson in barbarism”.

He has also said that Jews have “warped psyche and mentality”. Nasty stuff.

Rand Paul Reveals the Shocking Truth of Where the Aid Money for Ukraine Is Really Coming From
……………..
With the greatest of respect, I think that supporting Ukraine against Russia aggression is actually a good thing. I generally respect Rand Paul, but disagree with him here.

He asked that someone be appointed to make sure where the money would go and be spent. That is not unreasonable, but schumer and others refused.
And since the gov is *borrowing* the money from china, and so many things are being defunded…I clearly see Sen. Paul’s concerns. The gov of ukraine is not the least corrupted of nations….lots of reasons money should be handled with care.

Somehistory, I *do* agree that this aid–as with any aid money–should be properly tracked.

There was another way to have supported Ukraine: authorize only the shipment of weapons to them. Cash is a bad idea for 2 reasons:
‣ Ukraine is corrupt, and there’s no guarantee that the money will be spent only on weapons, as opposed to lining the pockets of some Ukrainian oligarchs or bureaucrats
‣ We are corrupt, and there is no guarantee that the money won’t be skimmed into projects where relatives of our leaders, be it Hunter Biden, Paul Pelosi, Vanessa Kerry, et al are on their boards and can line their own pockets
I am very disappointed that otherwise upstanding leaders like Tom Cotton, Ted Cruz, Marsha Blackburn and some others were not on the list of those senators who voted ‘no’. All of them could have supported Ukraine by requiring that only weapons and meds be sent their way

Tell me again why Uncle Sam is getting involved in a country in Europe that is NOT a member of NATO when the EU has total power over most of Europe and yet appears to be doing nothing except buying Oil and Gas from Russia, but the current Administration in Washington DC appears to be much more concerned about an International Border thousands of Miles away from the International Border of the USA and yet even today most Americans, and many Europeans, could not find Ukraine on a World Map
Uncle Sam now wants to defend the Nazis from the Communists, because Uncle Sam overthrew the Government of Ukraine in 2014 and the current guy playing the part of leader of the USA had a Son who got a very well paid gig in a business he had zero experience in, while PRESIDENT Trump got impeached for making a phone call to the leader of Ukraine to ask about this Deal..
We are being played by some very evil people these days.

Hey we live in. the ME times, it’s all about ME and the hell with everyone else society in Washington. This $40 billion will find a lot of hiding places and never reach the people in need. Why is our Government always so willing to distribute American TAX DOLLARS to foreign leaders? Or in this case borrowed from China dollars that we will have to pay back with interest, hey everyone is making money. Just who and how many of our elected politicians/families have business and investments in Ukraine and China that will reap a nice profit?
STOP Foreign AID. Charity should come from the people not our Government Officials.
