Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan visited Russia at the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Khan made light of the attack, calling the Russian invasion “exciting.” “Islamophobia” was also on the agenda during the visit. In December, Khan “welcomed Russian President Vladimir Putin’s remarks against ‘Islamophobia’, saying that Putin reaffirmed the stance that ‘insulting our Holy Prophet (PBUH) is not freedom of expression.’”
The two countries have formed a close partnership, strengthening the red-green axis.
During his visit to Russia, Khan also stated that “Islamabad would toe an ‘independent’ foreign policy, and no longer join ‘anyone’s’ war.” What he meant was that he would no longer aid the U.S. in anything akin to the war on terror. But Khan isn’t remaining independent, as he claims. He is supporting Russia in a united war effort against the West.
The Chechen Mufti has also endorsed the Ukraine invasion, backed by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, saying that the invaders are “on the path of Allah.”

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will import 2 million metric tons of wheat and natural gas from Russia despite the international sanctions on Moscow that came with its attacks in Ukraine, according to the prime minister.
Announcing the development, Imran Khan said Islamabad will import the gas to meet Pakistan’s rising domestic and industrial needs.
“We have signed agreements with them to import natural gas because Pakistan’s own gas reserves are depleting,” he said in his televised address to the nation earlier this week.
“Insha’Allah (God willing), the time will tell that we have had great discussions.”
In his address, Khan, who paid a two-day maiden visit to Moscow last week, said Islamabad would toe an “independent” foreign policy, and no longer join “anyone’s” war.
“My two recent visits to China and Russia have earned respect for Pakistan. You will soon see the benefits of these visits,” he contended.
Khan has expressed concern over the attacks in Ukraine. A post-meeting statement said Khan told President Vladimir Putin he “regretted the latest situation between Russia and Ukraine” and had hoped “diplomacy could avert a military conflict.”
Now, the top diplomats of 22 countries stationed in Islamabad have urged Pakistan to support a resolution condemning the violence in Ukraine in the United Nations General Assembly.
Pakistan and Russia have inked two agreements — in 2015 and 2021– for the construction of a 1,100-kilometre (684-mile) gas pipeline, known as the Pakistan Stream Gas Pipeline Project, from Karachi to Punjab.
The $2.5-billion project is slated to begin next year, but analysts see dim chances for meeting the deadline due to myriad global sanctions on Moscow, which will have longtime impacts.
Referring to Pakistan’s participation in Washington’s war against terrorism, Khan said Islamabad conceded heavy losses in terms of lives and economy in the so-called war….

So much for Ukraine’s support of Pakistan in the past. Will Pakistan pay Russia in their own currency or Russia’s? Since both countries are broke, and even China is tiring of having to loan Pakistan everytime: they could probably possess Pakistan by now and make it ‘South Xinjiang’
Also, wouldn’t it have been easier for Pakistan to get a pipeline from Turkmenistan thru Afghanistan, rather than all the way from Russia?

Not only Pakistan refuses to abide by the sanctions against Russia, but many Arab countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Algeria. The reason for this is the loss of confidence in the desire of the United States to protect these countries from the Iranian threat. In addition, a large percentage of the population of these countries, including Christians, including myself, blames the United States for initiating this war between two brotherly Slavic countries with very much historical and cultural ties,

So what now does this sanction breaking mean for the Pakistani hordes in the UK ?, can they now be removed. If the Russians in the UK can be targeted due to the conflict then why cannot the Pakistani’s due to their leaders, what is in retrospect, giving succor to Russia in buying their products.
