Dr. Oz Calls Out Republican Opponent for Islamophobia

Donald Trump confused a lot of people when he endorsed Dr. Mehmet Oz in the Pennsylvania Senate race, as Oz has never impressed anyone as an America-First type. In fact, he maintains dual citizenship in the United States and Turkey, even as Turkey has become increasingly hostile to the United States. Oz claims that he maintains Turkish citizenship only so that he can visit his ailing mother, but actually, visas to Turkey are easy to obtain, and Oz obviously has a much greater interest in Turkey than he has been willing to admit, having voted in Turkey’s most recent presidential election, in 2018. Now Oz is raising even more eyebrows among those who should be his core constituency by accusing his Republican primary opponent Kathy Barnette of “Islamophobia.”

Oz made this accusation to Martha MacCallum on Fox News when she pointed out that while Trump had criticized Barnette, he had also praised her. MacCallum asked Oz if he was worried that the former president was “hedging his bets,” which would be entirely understandable given the fact that Barnette’s views are much closer to Trump’s than Oz’s have ever been.

In his answer to MacCallum’s question, Oz opted to go on the attack. Trump, according to Oz, “said she cannot win in November. Frankly, every time Kathy tries to answer a question, it leads to a lot more questions, which is why she’s not answering any questions. Imagine if you’re a Democratic pollster or a partisan and you are watching a woman that said openly homophobic statements and Islamophobic statements, made all kinds of allegations in her past, we can’t even verify very important parts of her history.”

Trump supporters might wonder why Oz is worried about what Democratic pollsters will think. Many would no doubt say that the problem with far too many Republican elected officials is that they’ve been much more concerned about what Democratic pollsters might think than they ought to have been. Trump supporters are generally hungering for politicians who will do what is right for America and Americans without being worried about how what they do will play in the eyes of socialist internationalists who have consistently put the interests of other countries and their own bank accounts above any concern for the well-being of the actual citizens of this country.

In fact, while Oz is upset about Barnette’s alleged “homophobia” and “Islamophobia,” Trump supporters are likely to value a genuinely America-First candidate even above the interests of the LGBTQ lobby and Hamas-linked Islamic groups in the United States. Mediaite referred darkly to “some of Barnette’s controversial past statements, including comparing Islam to Nazism.” This was designed to make the sheep who read Mediaite think that Barnette had sinned unforgivably against the noble religion of peace, but here is what Barnette actually said:

  1. Oz pretty well finished what little credibility I had for him (and it was little because of his Oprah association) way back when on his medical TV show. Here he is, supposedly a science based medical professional, and he trots out “alternative medicine” in the form of acupuncture. There is no such thing as “alternative medicine” — there is science based medicine and then there is woo-woo nonsense like acupuncture and magical water homeopathy and all the rest.

    It comes as no surprise to me that he would pose as a Republican, then start trotting out nonsense like Islamophobia accusations to somebody who simply spoke to truth, and also be all concerned about what Democrat pollsters think. He plays all sides — both practical get it done MAGA politics (science, really) and woo-woo (Democrat gobbily gook complete with Islamophobia).

  2. Kathy Barnett was right when she tweeted “There is nothing rational about Islam.” To see this just observe such things as the cruel vicious Islamic practice of FGM and the callous malicious brutal Muslim male action of “honor killing.”

    Of course their within Islam the horrible behavior of jihad suicide/homicide bombings which is done by Muslim males with the absurd and bizarre promise of Islam of a paradise with many virgins in it for the jihadist who had died fighting for the cause of Islam.

    All because of blind and unquestioning faith that Islam is “one true religion.”

    Benjamin Franklin was right on the mark when he had printed in his periodical POOR RICHARD’S ALMANAC “The see by faith is to shut the Eye of Reason.”

  3. As someone who has lived in ,for decades, still does life in Pennsylvania on election day I have a choice between two good people for Senate . It’s either Carla Sands or Kathy Barnette.

    As for voting for Mehmet Oz , that terrible action is totally out of the question.

    Donald Trump was a great American President,, maybe he will turn out be be even the very best United States President this nation will ever have in this twenty-first century. Nevertheless , he’s not infallible and is able to made a bad decision. His endorsement of Oz for the US Senate is an example of him making a bad and wrong decision.

    • I still generally like President Trump, but his ignorance of Islam itself means that a lot of his policies have been inconsistent at best.

        Pres. Trump obviously made a mistake endorsing Dr. Oz. And President Trump’s positions regarding islam have been somewhat inconsistent – though better than most leaders.

        That being said, it is likely that Pres. Trump was unaware that Dr. Oz very strongly identifies with islam – and his Turkish connections.

          Yes, from “I think Islam hates us” to endorsing Oz, Trump’s understanding of Islam and Muslims has been very inconsistent.

          But…I don’t recall any American politician who has publicly denounced Islam as the totalitarian theocracy that it is.

  4. Candidates for national office should not be allowed to hold a foreign citizenship. They need to have ALL of their skin in the game with the rest of us.

  5. The “male” behind the curtain is a mozlum. mozlums and the Constitution are like oil and water.

    Anyone who will stand against the perversions and the takeover of the world by mozlums…seeing mozlums for what they are, has a lot of integrity. It isn’t easy to go against the stream, to fight the tide and esp, to tell the Truth in today’s atmosphere.

    oz is a fake…he’s a turkey and on par with i. elmi, a close friend of the head turkey. When I didn’t know he was mozlum, he still made my skin crawl seeing him on t.v.. oz is mozlum first…last and always.

  6. A trash job on Kathy Barnette has occurred just days before the Pennsylvania primary (May 17th). Very suspicious that all this negativity about Barnette manifested itself now when she hardly has enough time to correct it (but she has already moved on this).

    For the record, I am voting for Barnette. No way I want Oz to win the Republican primary—and of all the Republican candidates I think her best.

    • I laud you on your choice. I have listened to extensive interviews of Kathy Barnett on ‘The Wilkow Majority’ on SiriusXM’s Patriot channel, where Andrew Wilkow has been interviewing upcoming conservatives in various races throughout the country, including minorities and women. He originally had interviewed Sean Parnell, but after the latter dropped out, he’s had conversations w/ Kathy Barnette, and she is impressive. I voted in Virginia last year, and saw the Dem margins in Loudoun county erode, even if every delegate retained his/her seat within this county. But the state did flip red. Had I been a Pennsylvania voter, I’d have voted Barnette

      Also, I never bought where this “s/he cannot win” comes from. That’s a media creation, and the same thing was said about Trump in 2016. It’s therefore ironic of him, of all people, to say it. If one simply votes for the candidate one oneself prefers, that will take care of the electability issue. There have been great come-from-behind races in recent years

      Also, Hannity is a plagiarist and an intellectual lightweight: all he can do is regurgitate the same talking points day after day. Even back in the day of “Hannity & Colmes”, I was more impressed by Alan Colmes, even if I disagreed w/ him: he had a way of putting up some semblance of intellectual defenses to Liberalism. On the Conservative side, I’ve seen that from Rush Limbaugh, Roger Hedgecock, Lee Rodgers, Mark Levin and now Andrew Wilkow. I have never seen it from Hannity

      Also, who are you picking in the governor’s race – Mastriano or Barletta or someone else?

      • I’m leaning toward Dave White in the governor’s race but I have not yet made up my mind. Will have to by Tuesday.

    • Another point I forgot to mention – how is it at all relevant whether she voted for President Trump in the 2016 primary, or whether she slammed Breitbart then on the Lewandowski/Fields tiff, or anything else? A lot of people who didn’t vote for Mr Trump even in the general in 2016 turned around once they saw how he governed. McCormack has split loyalties to China, Oz has split loyalties to Turkey, and only Barnette has loyalties only to the US. Ideally, the top few candidates should have been Barnette, Sands and the other 2 guys in the race, aside from Oz and McCormack

  7. Also, great for Kathy Barnette if she knows the truth about Islam. Although like Ed Durr, I don’t expect her to hang on to that, given that even the GOP is heavily compromised when it comes to confronting islam

      I liked Anni Cyrus’ pointing out how the Quran has allah claiming to be Satan, and then making it an open-and=shut case! Namely that she doesn’t want a muslim in the government, or have anything to do w/ him. Of course, Anni is the ultimate islamophobe ?

    So much for claims that “Dr. Oz” is “moderate” or “non-practicing” Muslim. He’s also lied and said Jews, Christians, and Muslims all have shared values–carefully leaving aside Jihad terror.

    Also, there are those slavering over the prospect of his being the first Muslim senator.

    And note that Oz doesn’t say what Barnette has gotten wrong about pedophilia or lack of rationality in Islam. This is very common–just cite the statement and have the public mistakenly assume that pedophilia is *not* a cornerstone of Islam–despite this actually being the case.

  10. Mehmet Oz ,even his first name is Islamic.. Oz probably is a Muslim who is engaging in the deception , ,,by Taqiyya , of the stealth jihad for Islam.

    As for Ox having dual citizenship is questionable enough in the sense enter a man or woman is or should American or not but attempting to sit on both sides of the fence is absurd .

    Even a dual citizenship with another Western nation as Candia seems odd Yet his dual citizenship and likewise half his alliangence to a foreign non -Western nation and a Muslim country at that is terrible .

    The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is one of the members of the United States of America and therefore a US Senator should be fully and completely American, and that’s it.

    As the former US President , Theodore Roosevelt , had so rightly in a speech declared ” There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is room here for only one hundred Americanism , only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”

  11. I never had any great respect for Dr .Oz . I took a second look at him after Hannity and Trump endorsed him . It confirmed my original suspicion that he is a hypocrite and a political opportunist.

    She does have a point. Nevertheless it still seems to me that the violent and stealth jihad are the actual “cornerstones of Islam” . As far as I have concluded from my own research.

    Still the vile sin of pedopihia is ,indeed , a large past of Islam from that very start of that religion and well into this twenty -first century.

    • Everything that Kathy Barnette said about islam was spot on. Of course, mainstream Republicans are giving her the Ed Durr treatment, and I won’t be surprised if she folds, if at least temporarily. But everything I have read about her statements makes me root for her even more

      The only thing she’s said that I disagree w/ is her implication that an 11-year old rape victim (like her mother) should be made to carry her child to term. Despite having become less pro-choice over the years, I still support rape and incest exceptions for abortion

  13. Why is Dr. OZ holding onto his citizenship with Turkey? Makes me a little uncomfortable to see him running for political office.

    • And if he wants to hold Turkish citizenship, he needs to tell us where he stands on a Kemalist Turkey vs a neo-Ottoman Turkey. Would a Senator Oz be a defender of Turkish policies in the senate, be it on Greece, Cyprus, Armenia or Israel?

  14. Oz say’s Kathy made ‘Islamophobic statements’. If that is a reflection of his Turkish heritage we don’t want him anywhere near our government. Why, because not pointing out Islam’s obvious faults does Muslim women and children living in the US no favors. This is because it demonstrates he will not defend their rights under the constitution.. Oz is bowing to sharia and is weak or a traitor.

    It also means that he does not understand the constitution. Religions can be criticized in the USA and should be when appropriate. Islam deserves it.

    • Precisely! Anyone who treats the term ‘islamophobic’ as a legitimate descriptor of anything makes me fully opposed to him. From everything I have seen so far, Dr Oz is the Ilhan Omar of the GOP

  15. She needed to ask if Dr. Oz if he will take his oath using the Bible or the Quran? Also she should ask him how he feels about Sharia Law?

    • #1. What religious book he might use–or none–should be irrelevant.

      #2. Whether, as a good Muslim, secular man-made U.S. law or Islamic law takes precedence in his mind IS relevant; though no one will likely EVER ask.

  17. ”DR” Oz was a Democrat until recently and he is nothing but a snake, however he strongly puts down Kathy because she calls islam what it is, evil, and a bed fellow with nazism, he cannot dispute that FACT as it is a historical reality and why Trump supports this guy is beyond me, let alone Hannity endorsing him.
    If I lived in PA I would most defiantly vote for Kathy Barnette.
