If you were waiting for a TV broadcast featuring the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) to complain about, your time may have come. “Greenwich parents object to school trip site due to camp’s ties to Israel,” by Marcus Solis, WABC, October 16, 2026:
In March, a video of last year’s trip was shown to parents to give them an idea of what their children could expect. Some families said images of an Israeli flag displayed on a stage in the video made them uncomfortable.
One parent said, “it’s deeply personal to me and my family, and my child would be very distressed knowing that, because we have lost so many family members in Gaza.”
The district secured the location through an outside company that referred to the site as Great Barrington. Further research by parents revealed the location is Eisner Camp, a Jewish sleepaway camp that frequently rents out its 600-acre facility.
The parent said, “it should be at a neutral location…

Is she being neutral?
…where every child from every background feels comfortable and safe, and we have really been given no guarantees that this is taken seriously.”
Parents said requests to move the trip have been ignored.
This is the frame for the rest of the broadcast; something is wrong at Eisner Camp. They are not neutral. Parents are in distress. Eisner may not be appropriate for children. And it is in the context of Gaza.
In a statement, the district said the trip fosters self-discovery, teamwork and adventure.
The superintendent was responding to the numerous emails she received on this matter of changing plans because of Eisner.
“We have listened to parents’ concerns, and we sincerely appreciate their sentiment. We will not take a political or religious stand,” the statement said.
But WABC was not done yet.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations said removing flags or other displays during the school’s visit does not resolve concerns about the institution chosen for the trip. The organization pointed to what it described as Eisner Camp’s ties to a youth training program in Israel run by the Israel Defense Forces.
After the School District’s response, CAIR gets the last word introducing additional allegations about the IDF.
Farhan Memon, chairman of CAIR-Connecticut, said, “most of the parents that are objecting to are neither Muslim, Arab nor or nor Palestinian. They are just people of conscience who are concerned that they don’t want their children, being involved in a site like that.”
A site like what, exactly? What have they done? They have done nothing. It is WABC, CAIR, and the parents who are engaging in anti-Semitism. The International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance identifies holding Jews collectively responsible for Israel’s actions as a possible example of antisemitism. Criticism of Israel is not inherently anti-Semitic, but demanding that an American Jewish institution lose business because of its Israeli associations looks a lot like collective responsibility, particularly when no connection to the students’ education has been established.
As for the educational experience, that will be conducted by Outdoor Classroom, a completely separate company from Eisner Camp. WABC never mentioned Outdoor Classroom by name at all. Because it might not have fit in the frame that was centered on feelings about Eisner.
The broadcast version of the story ends this way:
It’s unclear the number of families that will not be sending their children this year, but they hope the concerns that have been raised will force the district to make changes for next year’s trip and beyond.
That means they will continue their jihad, and globalize the intifada by fighting the Gaza war in Connecticut until they get their way.
Conclusion
A search of the internet for the terms “Greenwich,” and “CAIR” will show numerous articles have been written about this “controversy” over the parents and Eisner Camp. What is missing in these articles is any discussion of the TV station in this mini-crisis. WABC omitted relevant information that would distract from the frame on Eisner. They were sympathetic to the parents to a fault. And this is not the first time WABC has worked with CAIR.
- WABC let CAIR spread rumors about an elementary school teacher accused of mishandling a student’s hijab. And when the teacher sued CAIR for defamation, the station stopped covering the story.
- WABC did the Wheatley School hoax about a Muslim student who was supposedly heckled during graduation despite there being absolutely no supporting evidence.
- WABC cooperated in CAIR’s organizing of underage student’s attempted ambush of a LaGuardia High School teacher.
- WABC did the auto mechanic traumatized, not by auto freeze, but rather bacon.
But this time was different. This was an anti-Semitic attack on an innocent American Jewish organization for the sake of Gaza.
If they really don’t know what they did, then they need to be told. WABC-TV Eyewitness News’ main station number is 917-260-7000.

I believe that case was settled and the teacher was paid for the defamation and given her job back but I also think that there was a non disclosure clause so no one is taking about it, and of course I don’t remember ABC or anyone reporting on the teacher being reinstated or paid for the defamation.

I don’t know about that.
Here is a video about CAIR successfully defending themselves against Tamar Herman’s defamation lawsuit. – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxYpvTAqi-4
But, the case against the Olympic fencer was allowed to proceed – https://law.justia.com/cases/new-jersey/appellate-division-unpublished/2024/a-1328-23.html?utm_source=chatgpt.com
But I don’t know about Herman receiving payment, or getting her job back.
If you have sources for that, I would very much like to see them.
