The alarming facts about Abdul El-Sayed’s mosque — the Muslim Unity Center — can be found here: “‘May Allah Curse the Jews’: El-Sayed and Father Have Close Ties to Mosque Whose Board Is Packed With Extremists Slinging Bloodthirsty Lines From Quran,” by Jon Levine, Washington Free Beacon, October 29, 2026:
The extremism continues within the MUC’s behind-the-scenes leadership.
Tarik Baraka, a board member during the time Abdul El-Sayed’s father joined the mosque, has openly defended Hamas on social media, posting to X on July 17, 2014, that “Hamas isn’t what the Zionist media makes it out to be.”
“U make me want to forget my principles and embrace my anger,” he added to the IDF spokesman account the same day.
“Im sick of research and patience give me a weapon and send me to Gaza,” he posted in November 2012.
In October 2014, Baraka shared a post on Facebook reading, “Faced with a reality in which Israel is strong and the United States is in its pocket, it is the duty of Palestinians to resist the occupation”
After the Oct. 7 attacks, MUC broke off its interfaith partnership with nearby Temple Beth El.

Hamas mass murdered Jews on October 7. Its operatives decapitated babies, gang-raped girls, tied families together with wire and then set them alight, sliced off the breasts of women and girls, stabbed their vaginas with knives, cut off the genitalia of men, and gouged out the eyes of both men and women. And in a satanic delirium, they videoed themselves doing all these things.
But instead of synagogues cutting off interfaith partnerships with mosques, it was the mosques, including the one El-Sayed attends, that cut off such partnerships with synagogues, as if it was the Muslims who were the injured party.
Here’s what we already knew: El-Sayed’s mother has worked for a charity with links to Al Qaeda. His father was a board member for an Islamic group that was convicted of sending money to Saddam Hussein. He campaigned several times with Hasan Piker, the virulent antisemite who said that “America deserved 9/11.” El-Sayed calls Israel “genocidal.” He supported the Muslim Brotherhood, during its brief reign in Egypt under Mohammed Morsi, and urged it to purge the media and police.
And then there is the mosque, the Muslim Unity Center, to which both El-Sayed and his father belong. Let’s recapitulate what we know about those linked to the mosque. Its imam for ten years, Mohamed Almasrami, defended the Palestinian Authority’s “Pay-For-Slay” program that provides subsidies to the imprisoned terrorists and to the families of dead terrorists, thus rewarding past and incentivizing future, terrorism.
Tarik Baraka was a board member during the time Abdul El-Sayed’s father joined the mosque. In November 2012, he posted on X “Im sick of research and patience give me a weapon and send me to Gaza.” He posted to X on July 17, 2014, that “Hamas isn’t what the Zionist media makes it out to be.”
Given El-Sayed’s own statements accusing Israel of genocide, and his refusal to say that the Jewish state has a right to exist, given his campaigning with the extreme antisemite Hasan Piker, given his support for the Muslim Brotherhood, and given the hate-filled people praising Hamas and praying for Jews to die who are associated with the mosque he attends, it is scarcely believable that Abdulrahman Mohammed El-Sayed is now leading in the polls. And by the time this is posted he may have won. “America’s first Muslim senator.” God help us. I can’t explain it. Could it be something in the water of Lake Michigan?

Hopefully we’ll never hear of El-Sayed again after Election Day. But, if he loses, we should never forget that well over 40% of the population supported him.
If he wins, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

The mosque is not packed with extremists it is packed with mainstream muslims.
ploome says
exactly
el sayed’s mosk is no different than any other mosk anywhere in this country or in the world
until we publicly and truthfully expose islam and its teaching we are protecting and supporting the jihads taught and promoted in
it is interesting to read what western authors have to say about islam, but I find it most useful to read what muslim so called “scholars” have to say to muslims about islam and it’s practice.
MEMRI shows exactly what is going on in mosks and where muslims talk to each other in language most of us do not understand.
Someone should ask el Sayed if and how his religious beliefs influence his political agenda..
on sharia for example
tgusa says
He is loyal to the cult so there is really no need to ask. As a loyalist he would only lie if he was asked.
tgusa says
Or he would avoid the question and pivot to healthcare and I can’t think of much that is more disturbing than a muslim healthcare professional. I would rater take my chances with a nuclear warhead.

Thankfully, Haley Stevens has endorsed Mike Rogers. Hope that convinces most of her supporters in her primary to do the same, or at least sit it out

Yes–and she is being castigated as “betraying” the Democratic Party for opposing El-Sayed’s ugly antisemitism. She is brave and principled.
Hank says
An over represented group. Seems strange how so many Muslims desperately try to get themselves elected into a country’s government no matter how small a group they are. Even if its an illegal Muslim migrant with open expressed hatred of the host country they still try. There must be a hidden agenda or purpose here.
somehistory says
Not so “hidden.” the mb memo might have been secret when first written, but they have been exposed and are now openly saying what they intend. They say it, and then pretend to deny it, but they are no longer trying so hard to hide it.

Muslims want the power, Hank.

Imagine Abdul El Sayed winning the MI Senate seat and gaining access to the Intel Committee or Foreign Relations Committee. He will be a direct threat to Israel’s most sensitive operations!
Remember the words of my fellow clansman, @Democrats must support and not bad mouth a fellow Party Member or Candidates. Now in the World of Realpolitik where did @SenSchumer hear these words or concept? Where did hear this once before? I know it was during the one and last free election before running for Chancellor under the Free Democratic, Weimar Republic. Hitler changed it to a one-man rule and enacted Anti-Semitic laws about social contact, professions, education and self-employment before segregation and eventually death camps. Schumer the beginnings then were the same as today, and you consider Party affiliation most important. You make me want to vomit!
James Lincoln says
The fact is, Abdul El-Sayed could not even pass a basic security clearance.
I guess his supporters do not care…

Hi Hugh, You wrote in this article:

Can you help me and explain the last sentence of this quote, as you can read and understand it in different ways.
