This is not like marching in Newark or Chicago or some other American city. These Christians were taking their lives into their hands, knowing that jihadis could have attacked them at any time.
Christians of Damascus are marching through the streets tonight in solidarity with Al-Suqalbiya, chanting:
“Nothing is more beautiful than dying on the Cross.”
A message of defiance from a community that refuses to be intimidated by threats or violence. They are standing with Al-Suqalbiya — publicly and without fear.

“European Syriac Union warns Suqaylabiyah violence exposes security failures facing Christians in Syria,” European Syriac Union, October 4, 2026:
BRUSSELS — Violence in the Christian town of Suqaylabiyah in central Syria has renewed concerns over the security of Christian communities and the ability of the country’s authorities to protect civilians in areas where Christians remain a historic and deeply rooted population.
The European Syriac Union (ESU) on Sunday strongly condemned the Saturday evening’s violence against residents and property in Suqaylabiyah saying repeated attacks against Christians and their property cannot be dismissed as isolated incidents or allowed to become part of the country’s new normal.
The latest unrest involved gunfire directed toward civilians, shops and private property, according to accounts reviewed by SyriacPress. At least one woman was reportedly injured, while property was damaged during the violence. Syrian authorities subsequently deployed Internal Security Forces and announced arrests.
But accounts of how the confrontation began and who was responsible differ significantly, making an independent and transparent investigation critical.
Syrian state media, SANA, reported that the incident began with a dispute involving young men before escalating into an attack on a commercial shop. The Internal Security Forces said they detained several people from Suqaylabiyah and the nearby town of Qalaat al-Madiq and restored calm to the area.
Local accounts and community sources, however, described a more serious security breakdown, with gunfire directed at civilians and private property….

Christians have risked their lives by “marching” and they have invoked death sentence on themselves by daring to protest. May be the situation is so hopeless that the Christians were willing to die for their faith.
On the one hand Christians are massacred in thousands for just being Christians and other hand Christians won’t even use their “freedom of speech” to speak out against targeted genocide against Nigerians, Syrians and others. The evil Left is complicit in all this through lies, thuggery and denials.

Raja, Jesus Christ warned (in Matthew) that there would be those people who claim to be doing God’s will, obeying The Son,
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not expel demons in your name and perform powerful works in your Name”…. “and yet” He “will say to them, I never knew you; Get away from me you workers of lawlessness.”
This simple Truth is proof that many today who claim to be Christian, are not.

Somehistory,
Thanks for the reply. You are absolutely right about Matthew chapter 7: 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22 “Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.’
God commands: Be holy as I am holy.1 Peter 1:16, except that a fake god tells “be unholy as I am unholy” supposed command to Muslims who use the tools of the devil.
