Muslim Numbers in Europe Rise and Rise

Here is what Houari Boumédiène, one of the rulers of Algeria, is supposed to have said in 1974 when he addressed the UN General Assembly: “One day, millions of men will leave the Southern Hemisphere to go to the Northern Hemisphere… And they will conquer it with their sons. The wombs of our women will give us victory.”

It turns out that Boumédiène never said those words. But those words expressed the triumphalist view of many of the world’s Muslims, convinced that in moving by the millions into the countries of Europe, the Muslims would inexorably effect a demographic takeover of the cntinent. An unstoppable demographic jihad. Another Muslim leader, Muammar Qaddafi of Libya, did say in a 1974 broadcast the following: “There are signs that Allah will grant victory to Islam in Europe without swords, without guns, without conquest. We don’t need terrorists, we don’t need suicide bombers. The 50-plus million Muslims in Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades.”

The latest news on Muslim numbers in Europe, today and — still more alarming — as projected to be in the future, supports Qaddafi’s view. Conservative voices have long raised concerns over the demographic shift arising from high sustained migration from the Middle East and Africa, and new data confirms these fears.

According to data published by La Razón, cited by La Gaceta, the number of Muslims in Europe has jumped from roughly 15 million around the year 2000 to approximately 32.5 million today (excluding Russia and Turkey)….

If we include those Muslims who live in the European part of Russia, the total number of Muslims in Europe comes to 50 million in 2026.

Meanwhile, birthrates are plummeting for local populations. Thilo Sarrazin, the former Bundesbank board member who authored the 2010 book “Deutschland schafft sich ab” (“Germany Is Abolishing Itself”) now predicts that by 2070, 80 percent of births will be to non-German mothers.

Thilo Sarrazin, a sober former Bundesbank executive, has since his 2010 book been a Cassandra, constantly warning his countrymen about the Muslim demographic jihad in Europe, and the need to call a complete halt to Muslim immigrants if Germany is not, in his alarming phrase, “to abolish itself.”

What will Europe be like in 2050, when the Muslim numbers are predicted to triple from 2026? How much will be spent on welfare benefits for Muslims determined to batten on every benefit the generous welfare states of Europe provide, including free or greatly subsidized housing, free medical care, free education, unemployment benefits even without a record of employment, family allowances, and more? Right now the cost of those benefits for Muslims across Europe total more than 120 billion euros a year, a fantastic burden on European taxpayers. And when those costs triple pari passu with the tripling of the Muslim population, how will Europe’s taxpayers cope?

And what happens as the number of Muslims in Europe who become citizens also rises, and they vote as a bloc to promote Muslim-first policies? We have already seen politicians pandering to the Muslim vote in France (Jean-Luc Mélenchon of La France Insoumise) and in the U.K. (Ed Miliband of the Labour Party) by adopting extreme anti-Israel stances. In 2050, with 75 million Muslims living in Europe, how will Europe’s leaders treat Israel? You know the answer to that.
