The blind Italian singer, it turns out, is sympathetic to Israel. He once gave a concert in Israel, ignoring calls from the BDS mob not to do so. He even gave a concert at a fundraiser for the IDF. Bocelli is set to perform a concert on November 27 at Petra, “the rose-red city half as old as Time,” but pro-Palestinian groups have called for a boycott of his concert. Some in Jordan have called not for a boycott, but for his concert to be cancelled outright, thereby demonstrating in the most vivid possible way how small-minded and vicious these people can be. More on their demand can be found here: “Groups demand boycott of Andrea Bocelli’s Jordan concert over his Israel support,” Times of Israel, October 7, 2026:

Pro-Palestinian groups call for a boycott of Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli’s concert next month in the ancient Jordanian city of Petra over his public support of Israel.
Bocelli, who has been blind since age 12, performed in 2022 at a stadium in Tel Aviv before an audience that included Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with the tenor ignoring pro-Palestinian activists’ longstanding calls for a boycott of Israel.
Bocelli, 68, also sang in Los Angeles at a fundraiser for a group supporting the IDF in 2010. In recent years, Bocelli has also been a rare internationally known musician to perform for US President Donald Trump. In 2023, he sent a letter to free hostage Yaffa Adar.
“We call on you to boycott Andrea Bocelli’s concert because of his long-standing public support for the Israeli enemy… Do not buy tickets! Demand… the cancellation of the concert,” says the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement in Jordan, one of the joint signatories.
“It is unacceptable for Petra — one of the most iconic sites in Jordan and the Arab world — to become a platform for someone who has raised funds for the occupation army,” BDS Jordan adds.
Petra may be located in the Arab country of Jordan, but it has nothing to do with the Arabs. The Nabataeans carved it out of red sandstone. But the Arabs, having so few sites of world-historical significance, have claimed Petra for themselves. Visitors, of course, are encouraged to think that Petra is an “Arab site.” In fact, even many Jordanians appear to believe that fantastical claim.
Now that the Jordanians have shown themselves wiling to beat up on the blind Bocelli, by demanding the cancellation of his concert at Petra on November 27, they may be unpleasantly surprised at the reaction. For Andrea Bocelli has tens of millions of ardent admirers around the world, impressed with both his singing and for his remarkable ability to do so without being able to read a score, or to watch for signals conveyed by a conductor’s wand. He has played in front of popes, kings, and to simple folk in Italian piazzas, and even to tens of thousands of people in football stadiums. There is no reason why he should be punished for having sung in front of an Israeli audience in Tel Aviv, or in Los Angeles for a group that supports the IDF.
If the Jordanians cancel his concert, the best revenge will be to fill in that part of his schedule with a concert in Israel, where the crowds, of course, will be delirious.
