He co-founded the “Sharia-Free America Caucus”

Here’s some context about the ISIS plot to kill Rep. Keith Self.
U.S. Rep. Keith Self (R-Texas) said Americans will have to confront a difficult constitutional question as debate over Sharia law and religious liberty intensifies around McKinney’s mosque project.
The discussion centered on McKinney, where the City Council voted 7-0 on August 4 to approve a 32,573-square-foot mosque and Islamic center after city staff found the revised site plan complied with existing zoning and development rules.
Self said the First Amendment protects religion, speech and assembly, but he distinguished personal beliefs from conduct.
“The government can’t monitor those. Can’t tell you what to do,” Self said of individual matters of faith. “On the other hand, conduct under the law is governed.”
Now a Muslim terrorist from McKinney has been arrested for plotting to kill Rep. Self.
The FBI has arrested and charged a 17-year-old boy from McKinney for planning to assassinate U.S. Representative Keith Self at an event last Saturday.
Federal investigators said the juvenile was also planning to carry out a terrorist attack in North Texas on behalf of ISIS.
Sources tell WFAA that the 17-year-old had been radicalized recently and was being monitored by federal agents.
Last month, the McKinney Republican introduced a non-binding resolution in Congress that denounces Sharia law and opposes its implementation within the United States. Prior to that, Self has also led legislation against Islamic extremism and Sharia law.
Last December, he co-founded the “Sharia-Free America Caucus” along with U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin.
Self’s district is at the center of a high-profile debate over a new mosque that was just approved.
When asked whether his positions on radical Islam might be the reason he was targeted, Self told WFAA: “If it’s ISIS related, you kind of have to believe that. I can’t prove that. I don’t know that for sure. But you have to follow the [old saying] if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it’s probably a duck.”
Rep. Self was and is right to be concerned about the impact of Islamic mosques on American culture, life and public safety.

I’ll bet the 17-year-old was born in the USA. Which proves again vetting Muslim immigrants doesn’t work because they breed. Looks like this one read the Koran, and followed its instructions.

Not really a constitutional question when their imams and lay leaders are preaching the overthrow of the constitution, the country, and hatred and violence towards Christians and Jews. Think it’s called sedition

muzzies want to force their way on everyone else and when they can’t , they resort to violence against the opposers.
I’ve been to Mckinney, TX. I can see in my mind’s eye what an eyesore the muzzie barracks will be. Horrific.
I’m glad Rep. Self is safe and the would be assassin has been thwarted.
But since the building will be a barracks where evil will reside, threats will be *preached* and hatred will be the normal feeling of those inside, more threats, more attacks, more assassinations will be planned..
