The Hamas-linked[1] Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) frequently expresses its concern when synagogues are vandalized and assures all that CAIR stands in solidarity with Jews. Here are some recent examples:
On July 19, 2026, the New York Chapter of CAIR issued a statement condemning the vandalism of two synagogues in Queens:
We strongly condemn this apparent act of hate targeting houses of worship. Every New Yorker deserves to practice their faith free from intimidation, vandalism, or violence. We stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors…An attack on any community’s place of worship is an attack on the values of religious freedom and mutual respect that unite all New Yorkers.”[2]

On August 17, 2026, CAIR issued a statement condemning the vandalism of a West Virginia synagogue:
Targeting a house of worship with Nazi symbols is an act of intimidation that has no place in our society. We condemn this hateful act and stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors. Every person should be able to worship without fear of harassment, vandalism or violence.[3]
On September 10, 2026, the Los Angeles Chapter of CAIR issued a statement condemning the vandalism of a synagogue and church in nearby Ventura:
Hate and bigotry against any group, regardless of faith or background, cannot go unchecked, and we strongly condemn this appalling display of antisemitism targeting Temple Beth Torah and Higher Vision Church. Our communities deserve to feel safe in their neighborhoods—especially at their houses of worship—and this disturbing act only serves to spread fear and hatred.
On September 16, 2026, CAIR issued a statement condemning the vandalism of a synagogue in Park City, Utah:
We unequivocally condemn this act of vandalism targeting Temple Har Shalom in Park City. Houses of worship must remain safe havens where communities can gather and practice their faith without fear, intimidation, or hostility. We stand in full solidarity with our Jewish neighbors in Utah and across the country against antisemitism and all forms of religious bigotry.[4]
On October 2, 2026, the Philadelphia Chapter of CAIR issued a statement condemning the vandalism of a synagogue in Lancaster Township:
“We stand in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors across Pennsylvania. Hate, antisemitism, and intimidation directed at any place of worship have no place in our communities. A bigoted attack on one faith community’s peace and security is an attack on the rights and safety of all believers.[5]
So CAIR “stands in solidarity with our Jewish neighbors,” calls for religious freedom, and states that “Houses of worship must remain safe havens where communities can gather and practice their faith without fear, intimidation, or hostility.”
But there is a major problem with these three pronouncements by CAIR. That problem is CAIR’s religion, which, as we all know, is Islam.
According to Islamic doctrine, Jews are among the worst enemies of Muslims, Jews are worth only one-half of a Muslim, and Jews are among the worst of creatures and are going to Hell. Muhammad even talked about a Jew hiding behind a rock and the rock calling out for the Muslim to come and kill the Jew. This only skims the surface of the deep hatred toward the Jews that is found in Islamic doctrine, and has been attested to by numerous articles in Jihad Watch.
And as a result of that Islamic doctrine, Muslims have been at war with Jews to varying degrees since the 7th Century. This has included massacres, enslavements, rape of Jewish females, harsh treatment of dhimmi Jews, limitations or outright prohibitions on the right of Jews to practice their religion, and the destruction of synagogues.[6]
In spite of this, CAIR boldly claims to stand in solidarity with Jews, calls for freedom of all religions, and states that houses of worship should be safe havens where religions can be freely practiced. Yet CAIR says nothing about the teachings of their religion and the actions of their fellow Muslims over the centuries that belie those claims.
In 2022, I wrote an article titled “CAIR Condemns 19th Century Slavery in the United States, But What About Muhammad?”[7] In this article I pointed out that CAIR not only condemned, but also supported the removal of, monuments dedicated to Confederate soldiers who fought in the American Civil War. CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ismail Allison had stated, “
People who betrayed this nation in order to preserve white supremacy and slavery do not deserve to be honored, especially not on public land.
Yet CAIR was characteristically silent about the fact that their prophet Muhammad was himself a slave owner who bought, sold, and gave away slaves, and did not free his own slaves until the day before he died. Muhammad even had black slaves. And CAIR was also silent about the millions of non-Muslim slaves possessed, bought, and sold by CAIR’s co-religionists who were, over the centuries, following the example of Muhammad.
CAIR’s statements about “solidarity” with Jews, freedom of religions and the safety to practice different religions, and its condemnation of slavery in the United States, are purely for show and mean nothing unless CAIR also addresses the Islamic Doctrine and the teachings and actions of their prophet, and the actions of their co-religionist that undermine those very statements.
So I don’t mind helping CAIR out with this matter. Here is a statement I wrote that CAIR could make:
CAIR officially renounces and disagrees with all of the Commands of Allah in the Koran and the teachings and examples of our prophet Muhammad that:
- Denigrate, dehumanize, and advocate violence toward non-Muslims, in particular Jews and Christians. As we have officially stated elsewhere, “Hate and bigotry against any group, regardless of faith or background, cannot go unchecked.”
- Deny the free exercise of other religions.
- Allowed for the enslavement of non-Muslims. And we apologize for the actions of our fellow Muslims over the centuries that have resulted in the enslavement and abuse of millions of non-Muslims.
- Sanctioned the rape of untold numbers of captured non-Muslim females. And we apologize for the actions of our fellow Muslims over the centuries that have resulted in the rape of that untold number of captured non-Muslim females.
Such a statement would result in any revised Korans and hadith collections being made much shorter, and, no doubt, limiting, or preventing travel to Muslim-majority countries by CAIR officials. However, by coming clean it might help promote the “positive image of Islam” in America that CAIR is seeking.
