Whatever the motives this gunman had, he should be tried for murder and, if found guilty, punished accordingly. If he was indeed intending to kill Muslims, Ali Rabeh and other Muslim politicians in France will use this incident in order to silence any criticism of jihad activity in France and elsewhere, and to stymie any efforts to halt the Islamization of France. This gunman has committed a heinous crime. Compounding his crime is the fact that he has just handed the enemies of the French republic, and those who want to impose Sharia upon France, an extremely useful weapon.

One person was killed and five more were injured in the Paris suburbs on Friday after a man with an automatic weapon fired random bursts out of a car, according to French officials. France’s interior minister described the shooting as “clearly a terrorist crime.”
The French authorities did not identify the shooter, who was quickly arrested, and it was not immediately clear what had motivated him. But France’s antiterrorism prosecutor’s office said in a statement that it had opened an investigation on suspicion that the shooting was carried out with a racial or religious motive.
Three of those injured were in critical condition, including a 12-year-old girl who was shot eight times, officials said….
Trappes is a working-class city with a large Muslim and immigrant population. Ali Rabeh, the city’s mayor, said that the shooter had fired across various neighborhoods, including near a health center, a playground and a gas station.
Officials cautioned that the investigation was still in its early stages, but Mr. Rabeh told reporters in Trappes that there were strong suggestions that the shooting was racially motivated.
“What we witnessed today was, objectively speaking, an attack with a racist connotation, and likely an Islamophobic one,” he said.
Mr. Rabeh, who is of Moroccan descent, added: “The people who were targeted today could have been my mother, my brothers, my sisters-in-law.”…
