Three Afghan nationals who fled the country after grooming and raping a teenage girl in Bristol in November 2025 were sentenced at Bristol Crown Court today.
Mehrab Safi, 21, Awal Ahmadzai, 19, and Salman Habibkheil, 19, filmed themselves “celebrating” as they escaped the UK in the back of a lorry three days after they, and an Afghan boy, 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, raped the girl, 17.
Mehrab Safi has been handed a prison sentence of 15 years after being found guilty of one count of human trafficking and two charges of rape.
Salman Habibkheil has been sentenced to nine years detention after a jury found him guilty of one count of human trafficking and one charge of rape.
Awal Ahmadzai was sentenced to nine years detention after being found guilty of one charge of rape and one of assault by penetration.
A 17-year-old boy, who is also an Afghan national, was found guilty of one count of rape and sentenced to three years detention, minus 104 days already spent in custody.
Sentencing, His Honour Judge Cullum, said: “Having been trafficked for the purpose of committing a sexual offence she was raped five times and subjected to a sexual assault by penetration. The accumulative trauma will undoubtedly live with her forever, and is unimaginable.”
The four Afghan defendants communicated through an interpreter, and spoke only to confirm their names.
Some of the defendants were seen smiling and waving at friends sitting in the public gallery for the sentencing.
The attack happened days after the girl had met Safi while Christmas shopping with a friend in Bristol city centre.
If the four rapists, including Safi, claimed in court not to know English, and would require an interpreter, how did Safi manage to speak with the girl in person and online?
Safi groomed the girl on Snapchat – including asking for nude photos from her – before arranging for a taxi to bring her to Bristol in the early hours of November 30….
Good God. As soon as that squalid request was made, the girl should have immediately cut off all contact with Safi. Look, innocent infidel girls all over Europe: Don’t chat online with young Muslim males, don’t send them photos, don’t meet with them, don’t, for god’s sake, go to an apartment with them. Strictly forbidden. Hundreds of thousands of English girls did not follow those elementary rules, and became victims of grooming gangs. For many of them, as a result, their lives have been ruined.
Sally Helliwell, of the Crown Prosecution Service, said: “The young victim in this case was targeted, groomed, and then lured to an unfamiliar city, miles from home in the dead of night.
“Isolated and alone, she was plied with alcohol and then raped and abused over several hours by four different people.
“It was clear throughout that she did not consent.
“Thankfully, the three men who fled in such a cowardly manner were swiftly returned to the UK to face justice.”
Which brings us to a larger question. Why were these four Afghans allowed into the UK in the first place? Did they claim to be asylum seekers, and if so, from whom in Afghanistan? Was there nothing that would indicate they were really economic migrants, eager to have lavished upon them all the benefits the generous welfare state of the UK provides, including housing, medical care, language and vocational training (not that they showed any desire to be employed), and more? Did they arrive in a smuggler’s boat from Calais, and thus are clearly illegal migrants? And what led the British authorities to think that they had should take them in, instead of sending them at once sailing back to France? Finally, why does the UK think, given its horrendous experience with Muslim migrants to date (the grooming gangs, the out-of-control crime, the billions of pounds spent yearly for all those welfare benefits) that it has some sort of duty to keep accepting them? Shouldn’t the peoples of Europe demand that would-be Muslim migrants should not be admitted, but instead be sent to other Muslim countries, and especially to the rich Muslim countries of the Gulf, which are far more able to support these people than are the long-suffering taxpayers of Europe?

I do not agree completelly. Yes it is in non Muslim society but as far as Muslims are concerned sex is an obseseion with them as it is so strictly controlled in their society (hence the burkas etc. and strict control over the sexes meeting or even mixing) In my opinion the sexual availabilty of women in Western countries is the reason why so many young muslims males want to go there.
