The Melbourne Magistrates Court was quite solicitous of the needs of Mohamed Musse Bakit. “Bakit’s lawyers argued there were exceptional circumstances for his release, including his age, lack of prior convictions, medical issues and his wife’s dependence on him.”
And they prevailed. Bakit was freed. His needs and those of his wife come first. Now, what if he gets involved in a jihad plot to massacre non-Muslims in Australia while he is out on bail? As far as Australian authorities are concerned, that possibility doesn’t matter in the slightest. Who cares about non-Muslim Australians when looking out for their safety might involve committing “Islamophobia”?
BREAKING: Absolute mockery of our system.
Mohamed Musse Bakit, a 65 year old Somali born man charged with being a member of ISIS and sharing nearly 10,000 extreme violent files including execution and suicide bombing videos – has just been freed on bail in Victoria.
The justification? The magistrate ruled that his poor health and reliance on taxpayer funded NDIS support helped meet the legal bar for release.
Yeah, read that again.
Charged with serious terrorism offences by the Joint Counter Terrorism Team.
Accused of flooding online groups with horrific terrorist propaganda.
Yet, he receives 24 hour weekly NDIS care paid for by Australian taxpayers, which is then used as an excuse to keep him out of prison.
Our borders, our welfare system, and our courts are failing hard working citizens.
Why is a foreign born accused terrorist receiving premium NDIS support while everyday Australians struggle to access basic services? And why is the court letting someone accused of spreading “great harm” walk back into the community?
The justice system is officially broken.

“Accused Islamic State member back in the community,” by Tara Cosoleto, AAP, October 8, 2026:
An accused member of Islamic State will be allowed to return to the community because of health and age concerns.
Mohamed Musse Bakit, 65, won his bid for bail in Melbourne Magistrates Court on Thursday, two weeks after he was first charged with intentionally being a member of a terrorist organisation.
Bakit’s lawyers argued there were exceptional circumstances for his release, including his age, lack of prior convictions, medical issues and his wife’s dependence on him….

This reminds me of a pedophile I once arrested for child porn possession. This is well before the internet, and he was in possession of thousands of still photos and videos from Holland and Thailand. The judge released him on probation because he had not yet actually molested a child to that point.

Good Lord we are doomed when our legal systems prioritize criminals over citizens. Severe correction is the only thing that is going to save us

And how many unknown wives does he actually have? Revealing them all is not the most effective way to milk the welfare system.

How does this piece of garbage support himself, his wife(s) and children.. Am I to believe the State is paying him while outside of Prison just as they paid for him while being inside Prison and folks wonder why these scumabags laugh and spit in our faces..

Our Labor government keeps funding the Islamic centres that the radicals attend. The opposition politicians have been asking them questions about this, but the government politicians won’t give a proper answer.
