Tina Ghazimorad is an Iranian journalist and the director of communications for Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. She has just written a piece in praise of Israel’s successful conduct of its multi-front war, the country’s astonishing resilience during that war, and the ancient alliance between Iranians and Israelis. More of her views can be found here: “After October 7 and years of war, Iranians and Jews have found a common enemy – opinion,” by Tina Ghazimorad, Jerusalem Post, October 18, 2o26:

Three years ago, the world witnessed the deadliest massacre of Jewish people since the Holocaust. The October 7 tragedy was not a localized flare-up but an absolute depravity orchestrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s proxy Hamas.
Today, marking the third anniversary of this catastrophic event, we must look beyond the immediate tactical theater of war.
October 7 exposed a broader, deeply interconnected global reality, stripping away decades of diplomatic illusions to lay bare the true, unyielding nature of Israel’s enemies and the undeniable alignment of its real allies.
In 2025, the US House of Representatives uncovered that the Biden administration funded protests against the Netanyahu government between 2022 and 2023.
Additionally, reckless reporting during domestic disputes, including Haaretz’s sensationalized coverage of Israeli military pilots refusing to serve in March 2023, sent dangerous signals of weakness to Jerusalem’s adversaries, especially the Nazi-Islamist regime in Tehran.
Given the extensive, gleeful coverage of Haaretz reports across Iranian regime media, many Iranians believe these irresponsible actions directly emboldened the Islamic Republic and its proxies….
Netanyahu must be given the time and unyielding support to finish the job and permanently liberate Israel and the free world from the Islamic Republic’s existential threat….
Here I beg to differ with Ms. Ghazimorad. I don’t think Israel alone should be expected to bring down the Iranian regime. It will take a joint effort with the United States. And later in her piece, she seems to realize that:
It is time for the West to abandon its failed policies, recognize its true friends, and join us in severing the head of terrorism’s octopus once and for all.
This is a plea for the Americans not to be satisfied with putting an end, by force or by negotiation, to Iran’s nuclear program. That would leave the Iranian people still in thrall to a hideous regime, that this year alone has killed more than 50,000 of its citizens. It is the regime itself that must come tumbling down. Economic collapse, accompanied by military attacks, will do the job.
Those Iranians, like Tina Ghazimorad, who live in exile, are free to express their admiration of Israel, for its military fighting, and winning, multi-front wars, for the wartime leadership of its prime minister, and for its resilience during wartime. She is appealing to the IDF, fighting alongside the Americans, to finish the job of destroying the regime that sits in Tehran— the “head of the octopus” — which she knows holds onto power only by terrorizing, and murdering, its own people.
Opinion polls back her up; 85% of Iranians want the regime that now rules in Iran to end. She reminds the world of the ancient ties between Persians and Jews that were forged in the time of King Cyrus who, shortly after his conquest of Babylon in 539 B.C., freed the Jews from their Babylonian Captivity a year later, and helped them to return to their ancient homeland, then known as Judah. It’s a story neither the Jews nor the Persians have forgotten. When, not if, the Islamic Republic falls, Tina Ghazimorad believes, the Iranians will renew the historic ties that bind their ancient history to that of the Jewish people.
Wellington says
Ancient ties were formed between the Achaemenid Dynasty and the Jews in the Sixth Century BC after Cyrus conquered the Chaldeans (New Babylonians)? Yes, eminently true but a “major event” intervened thereafter and that is that Persia in the Seventh Century AD went full stupid by giving up its own-formed religion, i.e., Zoroastrianism, for the worst religion of all time, i.e., Islam.
Yes, a “major event,” and what a damn shame that Persia since then has had mullahs and ayatollahs instead of Magi—and with complications galore for the Jewish people since then. Well, I say to the vast majority of Persians, bring back Zoroastrianism, the very religion that developed such concepts as the Messiah (Saoshyant) and a Last Judgment and passed these on to both Judaism and Christianity.
Zoroastrianism is an enlightened and tolerant religion. Islam is not an enlightened religion and is suffused in massive intolerance. Time for a change, Persians. Time to get back to what you once were.

“Those Iranians, like Tina Ghazimorad, who live in exile, are free to express their admiration of Israel,…”
Actually that’s not completely true. Back in 2022, the IRGC hired two Russians to assassinate Masih Alinejad, an Iranian dissident and advocate for women’s rights in Iran. They came to her Brooklyn, NY home with the intent of killing her, but their suspicious movements attracted attention, and the police were called. They were arrested instead, and convicted of multiple charges in federal court.
So, if I were her, I would be on the lookout for potential assassination attempts. What wil solve the problem is the U.S. and Israel teaming up to oust the IRGC and the Mullah based regime and actually doing so.
