Alarming reports have circulated about U.S. Muslim leaders advocating Sharia implementation, where their “speeches reveal calls to replace American legal system with Islamic governance and expand Muslim representation in Congress.” According to polls, 40% of the Muslim population in the U.S. would support the implementation of Sharia. But a new poll finds a disturbing trend among young Americans, that they support the Sharia in even greater numbers than Muslims themselves. “Poll: 4 In 10 Young Americans Support Sharia Law,” by Sarah Lee, The Federalist, October 6, 2026:
A set of polls released this week by Our Republic and Rasmussen show a concerning trend among American youth, especially in light of recently revealed immigration numbers under Biden: A quarter of 18-35 voters polled would support a community implementing Sharia law as the legal code for the entire town, city, or state if the majority of residents living there desired its adoption.
Additionally, according to the Our Republic poll:
Overall, 21% of likely voters said they have a mostly or somewhat positive opinion of sharia, compared with 57% who have a negative opinion. Positive views were much higher among younger Americans, including 43% of voters ages 18–24 and 39% of those ages 25–29.
The reason American youth may be trending this way, according to Justin Haskins, president of Our Republic, is a lack of understanding about the “value [of] the Constitution and the protections it provides.”
“Too many have been taught to see constitutional limits as obstacles to progress, especially when those limits stand in the way of policies they believe would help groups they view as oppressed,” Haskins says. “Because Muslims are widely perceived by young people as an oppressed or marginalized group, I suspect many default to a sympathetic view of policies associated with Islam without seriously considering whether those policies are compatible with constitutional freedoms. The irony is that, in doing so, they may be undermining the very rights they claim to care about.”…
That the Muslim population as a whole would support the Sharia even less than the general American population among America’s youngest voters is a staggering find. A Pew poll also found that 44% of Muslim Americans view Hamas favorably, which reveals a great deal. When phrased differently, Pew found that half of U.S. Muslims justify “valid” Hamas reasons to fight Israel; meanwhile, a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that 60% of young U.S. voters supported Hamas over Israel. It is significant that the Palestinian “resistance” has now found a comfortable home under the DEI framework among student activists, as well as increasingly among unions, and among powerful progressive organizations such as the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Center for American Progress (CAP), Our Revolution, MoveOn and Working Families Party (WFP).
Given that the Sharia is regarded as divine law in Islam, the question of whether the Muslims who are being polled are being forthright about their support for the Sharia is highly relevant. Islamic supremacists understand all too well the tense tug-of-war in the West over establishing the Sharia, and are adept at stealth manipulation, as powerful Islamic lobbies, most of which are connected to Muslim Brotherhood, wage an insidious war from within. The “Islamophobia” subterfuge is an example of this. This covert tactic has proven to be the most sophisticated and useful strategy in weakening the West from within, as it promotes Muslim victimhood, exploits the woke (especially vulnerable youth), and intentionally conceals the truth about Islam, which is proven over 1,400 years.
Youngsters have been inundated with woke messaging and propaganda about Islam in schools and on campuses. They are taught that Islam is a religion of peace; they have internalized the big lie that the Palestinian “resistance” is one of human rights, instead of the stark truth that it is simply the age-old jihad against Jews and the State of Israel. They seem to be deaf and blind to the obvious intentions of the “globalize the intifada” movement that even the late Ayatollah Khamenei congratulated American youth for advancing.
Dear university students in the United States of America, you are standing on the right side of history.
— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) May 29, 2024
The Palestinian “resistance” is part of a larger Islamic movement, yet knowledge of this completely escapes far too many of America’s youth (and the woke at large), who themselves feel empowered in defending an illusion of victimhood. They are so deeply affected by a mass psychosis in an age of viral upticks that they have lost the power of reasoning. It does not occur to them to investigate how the Sharia treats gays, women, female children (FGM and forced into child marriage) and kafirs in general. Nor do they look back at history for evidence. With the pompousness of youth, and their own insecurities driving them, they latch onto any popular cause that they believe will engender popularity and belongingness, and they run with it.
Generation Alpha (born between 2013 to 2024) and Generation Z (born between 1997 to 2012) struggle with knowledge, despite the incalculable magnitude of the global digital datasphere, available at one click or touch. For instance, findings of the CATO institute show a dismal level of knowledge among youth. Most among Gen Z cannot answer questions including: Who has the final say, the president or Supreme Court? Why did America declare independence? What is the main purpose of the U.S. Constitution? What does America’s 250th commemorate? From which country did we declare independence? And only half knew how many branches of government there are.
The younger generation feels more than it thinks, and we owe that to a severely inept public education system, and indoctrination camps we call “colleges” and “universities,” where DEI has hijacked a once-functional system with a kind of ideological overreach that has severely compromised academic standards, freedom of thought and expression, and plain common sense.
Youth have an innate and deeply rooted need to feel as if they are part of a cause. The latter shapes their identity, provides a sense of belonging, and channels their natural interests and energy toward whatever they consider to be a meaningful endeavor. When they connect with a purpose greater than themselves, their cause transforms their outlook and fosters resilience. But think about what can happen when this cause is corrupted to suit a malignant agenda such as DEI: supporting the ancient, abusive Sharia, in their limited view, becomes a cause of the “oppressed.” The Palestinian jihad becomes one of righteous resistance to oppression; Black Lives Matter becomes the answer to white racism; and the like. They do not want to hear that long before “white colonialism,” there was Islamic colonialism and its persecution of disbelievers, which persists to this day. They don’t want to hear about gays being murdered under the Sharia, or about how Libya, Mauritania, Sudan and Algeria are still holding black slaves, or that black Christians are getting slaughtered wholesale in Nigeria. Nor do they want to hear about black-on-black crime in America, for which they ignorantly blame whites, since beneath their veneer is an arrogance (intended or not) that blacks only have an identity relative to whites. Yet their victimhood narrative, even if accurate, is no excuse for failure: Jews succeeded post-Nazism, and the Chinese and Koreans triumphed after suffering Japanese brutality and oppression during World War II.
Islamic societies founded upon the Sharia and Islamic supremacist groups such as CAIR for example, are well-versed in Western thinking (or the lack thereof), and they seize upon the opportunities that Western ignorance gives them. According to U.S. Rep. Keith Self (R-Tex.), who founded the Sharia-Free America Caucus with U.S. Rep. Chip Roy:
Sharia creates unequal legal standards by distinguishing between Muslims and non-Muslims, men
and women, and believers and dissenters. These distinctions undermine constitutional protections
and expose individuals to social or legal pressure that conflicts with American guarantees of
freedom and equality. The United States cannot sustain parallel legal systems because the rule of
law depends on one constitutional standard applying equally to every citizen.
Furthermore:
“Christian values form the foundation of our nation and the constitutional system that governs our daily lives. Sharia and its principles stand in direct opposition to those foundations and are wholly incompatible with the rule of law in the United States.
Most youth are dismissive of these words of warning, which are intended to secure their own futures. The grim stats from Our Republic and Rasmussen about the Sharia align with an established pattern of maladaptive thinking seen in years of polling and observation. Most alarming is that a “quarter of 18-35 voters polled” would actually “support a community implementing Sharia law as the legal code for the entire town, city, or state if the majority of residents living there desired its adoption.” This is particularly noteworthy in areas of the West where the Muslim population is rising to a critical mass.
The poll demands that DEI and its communist cronies be recognized as enemies of the American constitution who are corrupting America’s youth. How these foes within are dealt with to save the republic and the future of its youth is a matter outside the scope of this essay, but it begins with dedicated caregivers teaching and preparing young children’s minds. And it extends to a necessary overhauling of the current education system, which won’t be easy, since it involves foreign players such as China and Qatar.
Walter Sieruk says
That 43% American youth favor Sharia and would like to have it established in the USA reveals a number of things,
First, the US education system does a very poor job in its duty to educated young people, For example Fox News survey of college students revealed most of the had no idea of that nation of United States was at war with during the Revolutionary War.
Second, that survey that there might be some stealth jihadists, sponsored by Saudi Arabia and Qatar, who have infiltrated the American school system.
Third, that survey showed that many American youths are naively ignorant just who brutal cruel oppressive unfair deadly and misogynistic Sharia actually is.
Forth, that surrey survey revealed that those American youth have no idea that the actual origin of Sharia. It had been revealed in a Time –Life book with the title MESOPOTAMIA: THE MIGHTY KINGS copyright 1995 ” For that future history book about the ancient pagan world of Mesopotamia informs the reader that “many Islamic laws resemble the Babylon and Assyrian forebears.” . page 150. Therefore Sharia is of pagan origin and therefore has no value or worth.

$millions have been spent by our ‘ME friends’ post 1979 aimed at our education curriculum to sanitize Islamic history past and current. Is there any critial examination? We really need teachers at the high school level to weigh in here on how students could not know the difference between a reformed Christianity and unreformed Islam.

It’s probably more like billions of dollars have been invested in our higher education system by islam over the past 50 years.
Walter Sieruk says
Attempting to fuse US Constitution and Sharia is like trying to mix water and oil together.
This is the United States, and has something that is far better than Sharia law. It’s the US Constitution. This is America, not Saudi Arabia or Iran.
As the former US President, Theodore Roosevelt, had well-spoken when he declared in a speech “There can be no fifty-fifty Americanism in this country. There is only room here for only hundred percent Americanism, only for those who are Americans and nothing else.”

very disturbing

and the elephant in the room
our media seems to refuse to accurately report the atrocities in islamic society and cultures and insists as portraying islam as just another region whose values and sentiments mirror our own
called gaslighting and deceiving us, while our third world migrants and their offspring, complain about everything American
perfect example, is Mamdani and look at the people around him
determined to recreate America in their own image…..here because the looting opportunities are vast
nothing any of them could ever accomplish within their culture
and they hate us because we are successful…and they have succeeded in making many young people feel guilt and shame because they belong to a successful culture.

None of this surprises me. People in this forum must engage younger people around you. I have two nephews who are still conservatives, but support sharia law, they say Hamas over Israel and they say Qatar is the best country in the world.
We have arguments all the time, friendly ones. My brother has thrown his hands up and doesn’t want to hear about sharia and Muslims. This new generation is different because of social media. My nephews frequently cite Tucker Carlson. If Tucker says sharia is better than constitution, and they hear this pro Islam everywhere, they’re young and latch to repetitive beliefs.
It’s spreading very fast as well, as the groups of teens share pro Islamist content. Tucker is very popular with younger age groups, and there are these small channels all over I have never heard of that present Islam as oppressed like the article says.
The Islamist propaganda is that 9/11 wasn’t by Muslims, and all this other stuff like October 7 was Netanyahu. And the kids believe this. What can I do? I hope it’s just a stage for them. It’s possible this leads to mass conversions soon. Younger girls as well, find sharia and islam as the solution.
This is Texas we are talking about. Texas.

I am not really surprised.
It is one of the many answers that some young men have come to as a conclusion and answer towards radical feminism.
Where they are always evil, always bad, useless and so forth.
So it was only a matter of time until some of them will find it attractive.
What surprises me is the amount of young women who support islam and sharia.
That is actually a completely irrational choice.
So i would like to see the gender distribution in this study, because my inherent assumption is that even among the 43% the majority in favour is for some reason the females.
Of course i might be wrong. But i think one of the above i described, the treatment of young males is actually driving some of them in the arms of islam.
(Just like it did hundreds of years ago. When it allowed free looting, aquiring slaves and wealth during military campaigns. There were quite many in the ottoman army who were originally from europe and have converted of their own will to islam. For the promise of wealth and such.)

Every year on February 1st, women and girls who–25 years post 9/11–still try on the veil right here in the good ‘ole USA during World Hijab Day.
Would they bite if invited to try on a chador, niqab or burqa?

Islam and Palestine are popular on social media. It’s repeated over and over and over and over. Young people are impressionable, boys and girls.
Islam is now understood as oppressed group who actually has a system of justice which has answers for our problems and Israel and trump want to suppress them…. lol 😂
To sum it up, that is the foolery going around, but it works. The Islamists have mastered the social media game simply because there so so many of them in the world , they’re overloading our kids.
Gaza was the gateway drug. It all began there. I know because I saw it up close with kids.

No more morals no more community. The social media machine has been hijacked to brainwash our children who are without a rudder.
I will keep saying it, the damage Tucker Carlson has done to our people is immeasurable. Then we have Canadace Owens and so many others Hussein Piker etc.
We shouldn’t be surprised with the results.

Well, Tucker Carlson was my #1 source of news since 2016: it was only after October 7th when he stayed silent on even the antisemitic demonstrations on US campuses that I started unsubscribing from his social media. If he is their go-to spot, it explains a lot
I’d suggest discussing islam w/ them – forget Israel/the Joooooos. Ask them why they’d think islam is good at all?
Beans🫘 says
I tolerated him even after that. Tolerated, and still watched but less. It was only after he betrayed the president after his decision on Iran I stopped watching.
He was already annoying me when Trump took his buddy Maduro out. I hope Trump takes him out next so I don’t have to hear about him again, give us a splash of magic and make Tucker disappear.
I feel bad for these kids because they just don’t know.

43% of young adults in America support Sharia and would help implement it in a city if the population wanted it

Utter madness. One has to hope that they are just grossly ignorant–because their *wanting* FGM, amputation of limbs for petty theft, child marriage, and murder for daring to expose the ugliness of Islam is *even worse*.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
More likety than not, they have no idea about sharia and what it entails. They should all be given tours of countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Qatar, Yemen et al and then be asked what they think about it, now that they know what it is

I agree, Infidel. But what sort of fool supports something they know nothing about? And these are a *lot* of fools.

They think sharia is Qatar. Every body has a home, healthcare and doesn’t have to work. Sharia doesn’t have crime , like Qatar as well.
A lot of young people watched some videos about Qatar and that’s the image of sharia they have. Americans don’t know much. If you’re 45 and older, they’re also simple, but their image of sharia was built into their heads by 9/11, Afghanistan Iraq , stuff like that.
I imagine most young conservatives still do not support sharia law. I’m pretty confident but not certain. But it is a growing trend not falling trend.
gravenimage says
Beans, I don’t think that most Americans–especially young Americans–know *anything* about Qatar–except maybe that the World Cup was held there and they gave Trump a plane…
Beans🫘 says
Tucker talks about Qatar all the time . And yes you’re right , it’s World Cup, trumps plane, and all the praise Tucker gives Qatar and other Islamic countries.
Those things effectively sanitized sharia in the minds of the sheep.
Graven image. The fact of the matter is, the content for pro Palestine is 95 percent of the content over all on the Israel Palestine topic. This in turn filters into sharia and Islam in this content.
I can’t tell you how many people, I would say all of them, whatever they have just seen five six times over, they believe it. I had a nephew so convinced Israel did a false flag with uss liberty because he watched only videos which back the theory.
I simply told him, buddy , you don’t do a false flag on an Israeli plane with an Israeli star painted on it… 😂🤡. You’d paint the people you want to frame.

Should be no surprise! I remember ‘red diaper babies’ and the rise of the anti-Vietnam War. Some how the leftists born to so-called ‘American parents’ were a surprise; but truly a surprise only to so-called liberals. I had read much writings from the Soviets on how they planned to infiltrate America IN THE 1920s, By the time I was born in 1943 ‘creeping socialism’ was well upon the US and today we have the merging of the democrat party with the social democrats which philosophically is just marxists rhetoric. Too bad there are so many of us that have this understanding but are old and are close to our end! The MSM is left oriented and essentially anti-American along with the basic education system. Cleaning this up is close to impossible! The future looks, at best, the US will be actually divided up into regions. Trump is keeping the flag unfurled but for how long?

Not surprised, the political realm has dummy downed the American youth, the way parents have been suckered into the “religion of peace” theme for years. The liberals have added to this by kissing Islam’s ass accepting donor monies to build sharia law courses and buildings on college campuses.
Islam only tells people the non violent passages leaving the violent ones for after they submit then they are told :once entered you can never leave”.
The youth of America had better wake up, learn about the nation you live in, the way people have defended the nation so that we can live free, My children know that if the democrats take power there will be no more “United States of America”, they will see Islam and China fight to seize the nation for their own goals, as it stands now China is buying mass land and real estate as for Islam mass population growth, immigration into our country by church groups and over the border invasion along with political gains have given Islam a hands up.
Makes me wonder if revelations will happen before the ongoing battle to fight.
