Mayor Zohran Mamdani is still without federal security clearance after nine months on the job — limiting his ability to be briefed on classified information involving terrorism or other threats to New York City.
Mamdani on Monday tried to play down the lack of potentially crucial information being shared with him, telling reporters during an unrelated press conference in City Hall that this was a “typical timeline” for approval.
“The process of my getting a federal security clearance is ongoing,” Mamdani said.
What could be holding up the security clearance?
1. He’s a foreign national who got his U.S. citizenship 5 minutes ago.
2. His dad and all his friends support terrorism.
3. He’s best known for his attendance at pro-terrorist rallies and pro-terrorist advocacy.
4. He picked a lawyer for the 20th hijacker as city counsel.
5. He released a rap song in support of Islamic terrorist funders.
So yes, it’s a mystery. But we increasingly have officials and staffers in national and local politics who couldn’t get a security clearance to save their lives. Or shouldn’t be able to, but probably did anyway?
Is there any planet in which LA Mayor Karen Bass could get one after her work with Communist Cuban front groups? Or Bill de Blasio in New York City after his time with Marxist pro-guerrilla groups?
We’re defining political deviancy so far down that anyone who hasn’t actually set off a bomb is probably going to get their security clearance.

the slug doesn’t need the “clearance.,” as he has an inside track to other muzzies.
He visits them in prison, they shout and throw bombs on the streets in front of the house provided for him….he knows beforehand what muzzies are planning….and he should have no idea what countermeasures the feds are taking.

He should never get a security clearance. He is a security threat. If he cannot get a clearance then he should be disqualified from being mayor. How much of this crap do we have to be subjected to?

Exactly, he is a huge threat.
The guy I married, had a very high security clearance. The government did checks on me and my family before he was allowed to get married. I didn’t know it at the time, because he couldn’t tell me until way after the fact.
This muzzie should be an outcast….no clearance, ever.
