This neatly shows up the absurdity of the whole “Islamophobia” scam. The 9/11 attackers themselves associated the attacks with Islam and Muslims. But infidels are supposed to ignore that and pretend that Islam is a completely benign thing that had nothing to do with inspiring the attackers, even though they thought it did. It was a misunderstanding of Islam on a massive scale, you see. The Muslims themselves who were involved in the attacks and thought they were carrying them out for Islam got Islam all wrong. It falls to non-Muslim Fairfax County schoolteachers to reveal the true, peaceful Islam.

In the wake of Shaima Alawadi’s killing, police urged the public to avoid jumping to conclusions about the motive, saying they did not have the evidence to label the death a hate crime. El-Sayed ignored that advice, comparing Alawadi’s killing to the shooting of Trayvon Martin in a March 2012 article and arguing that it was a reflection of the “racism, xenophobia, and hate” against minorities in America. “Trayvon and Shaima were both murdered in cold blood,” El-Sayed wrote, because they fit “archetypes indicted by American society as foreign, dangerous, and evil.”
Turns out Alawadi’s husband, Kassim Alhimidi, was foreign, dangerous, and evil. The Iraqi refugee was arrested for his wife’s murder after police uncovered incriminating text messages and evidence that Alawadi planned to divorce her husband and flee to Texas. He was convicted of murder in April 2014 and sentenced to 26 years in prison.”

Yes, James, and they are also *teaching* religion and this is a federal crime.
Since the laws regarding public schools and religion were changed after mad murray o’hair complained about the Bible being read, teachers are not allowed to give any opinion about Christianity….whether or not the kids ask questions…and if they do, they can be sued, lose their jobs, etc.
Probably nothing will happen, even if parents complain.

I went to public schools and started in1959. Every morning in class we would stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the Lord’s prayer.
I remember saying the Lord’s prayer up until the 1962 SCOTUS decision. And even for a few years after that we sang classic religious Christmas carols during the season.
I remember that even in the third grade we had a Christmas tree in the front of the classroom which we all decorated and brought in inexpensive gifts to put under the tree.
Of course, all of that stuff is long gone now…

James, I had similar experiences. One teacher liked to have her students pick a Bible verse to read to the class. she never chose one, nor did she make any comments before or after the readings.
That ended with the court decision.
The last time I recall anything about the issue, another student gave me a beautiful gift after we traded names.
Just imagine if Christianity had been treated as islime is being treated now.

These people are not teachers regardless of any certificates or diplomas. They also cannot be qualified to be an instructor on any level as they deny objective reality. Such, it seems , to be the nature of a large part of the US education system as some kind of an abstract detached world view has replaced the fundamental liberal world view of the 18th century. Much to the decline of rational thought and moral values.

Regarding that school that has its “teachers” give the history of those murderous and destructive terrorists attacks which occurred on September 11,th 2001 in a watered down way that avoids revealing that Islam’s teaching from the Qur’an for the jihad of violence and killing ,as in Surah 2:191., 123, 47::;4, was the cause , motivation and inspiration for those 19 Muslims terrorists to hijack commit all those evil actions of mass murder and devastation.
