Just saw this item a quote from his rival ‘”This is very serious stuff, guys. This is about civilization jihad,” Colbeck said.”
“Unearthed clip exposes clash between El-Sayed and ex-GOP rival: ‘Muslims definitely hate you'”
“Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate in Michigan, once fired back at accusations that he might have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a group that advocates for implementing Muslim code, known as Sharia law, as a legal framework.
“Now, you may not hate Muslims,” El-Sayed said. “But I’ll tell you, Muslims definitely hate you,” El-Sayed said at a 2018 Michigan gubernatorial forum.
The statement, made as a response to probing from Michigan lawmaker Patrick Colbeck about his religious affiliations, demonstrates El-Sayed’s resentment towards efforts to use his Muslim faith as a link to Islamic groups like the Muslim Brotherhood. It also shows efforts to address fears that, as a Muslim, he would try to implement Sharia law as the law of the land.”
Thinking about all the RS books on islam I have read, I’d rate “The Tragedy of islam” as the best of his books on islam to date. Good interview w/ Andrew Klavan
On one of the last questions about what he would advise the administration, I think that the best advice he could have given them would have been to release the Israelis on the regime change project: they’d know how to do it, and also, to rope in Reza Pahlavi’s project. Toppling that regime could be a combination of busting IRGC & Basij bases wherever they are, and enabling citizens to get armed once those bases fall. Make it a pure unmanned drone operation, and let Ukrainian drones work on enabling the Iranian people
I do however disagree w/ what RS said about how divided Iran is. In 1979, rural Iranians may have been pro islamic. Today, after years of famine, compounded by a water crisis and mismanagement, that is no longer true: the islamic regime is about as hated in the countryside as they are in every major Iranian city. Armin Navabi claims that only 5-10% of Iranians are regime supporters, but the real numbers would be I think 20% or so, as per GAMAAN. However, one thing that the current US blockade and Operation Economic Outcast has done is to set the supporters of the regime against each other. While some support Pezeshkian, Ghalibaf, Araghchi, et al, others support the IRGC and want the war to resume
Thank you to both Andrew Klavan and Robert Spencer. RS is right about ending the current war: the only way to end the iranian mullahs’ 47 year war on the USA is regime change in iran.
